...Tom Tom 520T I am pleased with the ease of use and find setting up an itinerary a useful feature giving you more control of the route taken. The clarity of instructions, particularly when reading street names, is excellent. It is also useful to be able to add locations, as a friend lives in a relatively new housing development which was not listed. However the "Points of Interest" feature is extremely limited. I live in the West Midlands, close to Dudley and despite having a zoo at Dudley the POI tells me the nearest zoo is at Chester 61miles away. Similarly, if I ask it for the nearest swimming pool I am directed to The Grand Hotel in Dublin 182miles away. The nearest library is given as 90miles away and the nearest police, dentist, doctor and pharmacy are all 175 miles away in Ireland. These are just a few examples of Tom Tom 520T... Read review

...I've just bought a Tomtom Go 520 after somehow managing to lose my Garmin somewhere in Manchester (grrrrr!) and up to now I'm fairly pleased with it. I loved my Garmin but was swayed by the 'gadgets' that the 520 has........bluetooth, voice recognition etc. However, there are several downsides that I have found so far. Firstly it doesn't appear to recognise all addresses......my friend lives in a house that is about 10 years old and although it can find the street it won't provide any house numbers which could be a pain if whoever you are visiting lives on a very long road! If you want street names and text messages read to you there are only a couple of voices to choose from and they have to be male or female computer voices, The rest won't read anything to you. The voice recognition is a bit hit and miss. You have to speak very slowly... Read review

Advantages: Genuine designer wear at very cheap prices

...Wear" to be on the second floor, so up I went. When I saw the clothes available, my first reaction was "I am NEVER gonna afford these!". But..after seeing a particularly interesting pair of Platinum Fubu jeans (very chic, huge in America sweetie) I was quite shocked that the price was easily affordable (£25 as a matter of fact). After being there once, I have returned many more times to buy two more designs of the jeans! (you have to see them, they are fab!) The range of designer wear in the shop is very impressive. you can expect to see clothes from labels such as FCUK, Caterpillar, Fubu, Lee Cooper, Ben Sherman, Quiksilver, Airwalk and a few other famous names. As for prices, you can expect to pay £10-30 for a decent pair of jeans, £5-20 for a T-shirt and £10-30 for a sweater/hoodie. As far as i am aware, there are a quite a few TK MAXX stores... .... Back up vocals come in on the chorus and break up my voice. I sang this one low and full of grrrr, gravelly with a capital G. And the softer the backing the rougher my voice sounds They say you know who is doing you know what How am I supposed to feel You know who is doing you know what I thought our love was real The chorus is snappy and catching. And I often find myself humming this tune when I’m putting the washing out ….. Have you seen how much Launderette’s cost nowadays?? Track 4 UNDERCOVER AGENT FOR THE BLUES [5.20] [T.J.White/L.White] This track is ‘blues’ with a capital B. I love reverting back to my roots, and I love the low but strong beat in the background. .... Additionally, you don't have to worry about an antenna snapping off if you had one to many burgers at McD's.... Shortcomings? 1)There are a few minor ones. The Yes/No buttons are chromed plastic and feel like chromed plastic. The chrome finish feels funny and looks a bit out of place. 2)The Battery life is not nearly as good as the internal metering system suggests. 200 hours of standby with Bluetooth and Infrared off is still possible, but the claimed 12h of talk time is not really realistic. But 6 hours surely is, and that is still magnificent. 3)The phone battery compartment is not compatible with the R520/T28/T29/T39 phones. The desk charging stand for those models also doesn't quite fit, tho it is usable if you remove the metal support back on the stand. 4)Price. No explanation needed. It isn't even widely available... ...that is empty. Instead of buying Canon cartridges you could try and save some money by buying compatible ones which you can get for under a fiver, but then you can't guarantee the quality of the ink. You can buy a CLI-8 ChromaLife Pack which consists of the four CLI-8 black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges and a pack of 50 10x15 cm PP-101 Photo Paper Plus Glossy which will save you a bit of money, and then keep the spare cartridges until you need them. Here are the page yields (number of pages you can print from an ink cartridge) for each cartridge according to Canon: PGI-5Bk - 520 t&g (mixed text and graphics) and 3095 p (photos 10 x 15 cm) CLI-8Bk - 5220 t&g and1305 p CLI-8C - 890 t&g and 387 p CLI-8M - 670 t&g and 271p CLI-8Y - 700 t&g and 291 p As you can see this is quite a lot of pages/photos so this printer does have low... ...I purchased this through the TOMTOM website and downloaded it to my TomTom GO520 T. It downloaded really quickly through our 8 meg connection and I had it installed on my device within a few minutes. We used it for a driving holiday to Hungary in Feb 2008 and it proved fantastic - we did not come accross any roads (including tiny farm trtacks) that were not listed. All the POI's we used were accurate (petrol stations, shops, shopping centres, tourist attractions) and generally we could not fault it. It is especially useful for planning a journey as with all the TomTom products you can preview the map and route. In Mid June 2008, I downloaded the new updates Eastern European map and am going to test this out during August on yet another Hungarian driving holiday. Well done TomTom.
