...Having used some Nokia phones previously, I decided to change the brand and go for a Sony Ericsson. My mobile phone device needs are pretty simple. Earlier, the Nokia 6101 that I was using fulfilled all my needs but since its battery was running out of steam really quickly after every recharge, I realized that I needed a new handset. My search zeroed in on the Sony Ericsson Z550i . The Z550i is feature packed and is a competitive device in its segment. ...When you think Sony Ericsson and Phone, you just have a picture of an expensive walkman thing that's just hyped up. Not with the K550i! It is now quite cheap to pick up and to be honest, it's not much far behind newer phones. The K550i is an upgrade to the incredibly popular K500i and it's just so much better! The camera isn't awesome at 2MP but ample, but that's only half the story. This phone takes some stunning pictures which when first viewed you won't be able to tell that it has been taken with only a 2mp camera. The video is equally impressive. In fact, both the camera and video are much better quality than many supposedly better and more expensive phones. And then there's the music player which as expected is of top sound quality. 64MB internal memory isn't going to store more than 1 album at most but the compatibility... Read review

...The sony ericsson K550i cyber-shot is a good phone as takes good pictures and videos easy to use e.g to text, call, play music, play games e.t.c . My k550i worked perfectly for about a month the the no.4 button started to not work that well example: when i exted some one whe i pushed that button it would'nt do anything. i have this phone for about 10 months now and now the scree n keeps going blank for about 20 secounds for no reason also when i call someone or someone calls me the phone justs goes dead and stops the convosation. so i fink this phone isnt very good but that is my opinion u might disagree with me also it might just be my phone that is rubish not the others. So thank you for reading this review also this phone looks really good feels really good and is an alright size but i would like to have a slightly slimmer phone.... Read review

Ease Of use The w550i Is a very easy phone, the lay out and menu is clear, the buttons are well places, and its just not very hard to use! =] Look and Fell The Phones Looks are Sweet and Unique =] With its origonal colour being Orange, almost everybody will recognise what phone you have just by first glance! The Phones origonal cover (orange) isnt made of plastic, but rather of a hard rubber, be wraned, as it can scratch easily! Durability This phone needs to be cared for well, as if you dont have another color (ie: white or silver) then your orange cover is in for a few scratches, as its not the strongest! Advantages: Seems to be an unbreakble phone, no matter how many times I've dropped it.

The phone has a 1.3 mega pixel camera which isn't bad for a phone and you can use the pictures you take as anything, desktop background or screensaver etc. The menu system is very easy to use and has very good shortcuts, even though you can change them yourself, the ones already on there are very useful. The phone also has Bluetooth from which you can receive friends of families tones/songs etc and make them your text, email or ring tone! This isn't possible on some phones. Another great feature of the Sony Ericsson W550i is that it has a long battery life, it can last about 100hrs. Possibly the best feature on the phone is the Walkmann. The songs are of brilliant quality and the phone speaker can go very loud so if you would like you songs can be heard by many people. There is only two downsides... Read review

...I have been a Sony Eriscsson user for about 3 years now & have got through a few of their models. This phone is stunning in design (rotating flip phone) comes with choice of pearl or orange replacements covers (front & back) - The navigation is a joy & so easy to use, the graphics are nice & bright, you can choose lots of stunning themes for your phone to suit your personality or mood. Texting is easy & has a easy to use interface. Features FM Radio, 1.3MP camera + video capture, organizer with alarm ,calander, stopwatch, code memo, timer, applications, tasks, & light. This phone was the 2nd SE phone to display the "walkman" logo & it's older brother the W550 becacame the 1st. This time, fed up of buying I decided to go on contract, and after looking through the selection on the Virgin website decided on this little beauty which was free on my 12 month contract. Look & Feel ---------------- The first thing that attracted me to this phone was its cute little looks. Black casing with a large screen and tiny little silver buttons. The blue backlight caught my eye too. Its small compact size was also a bonus as you don't want an unsightly bulge when carrying it about in your pocket and it also means I can hide it well in work! There are shortcut buttons around most of the phone, and by a press you can be listening to your favourite songs or being a budding photographer. ...Not only is this a very good looking phone but it has some great features. The phone is fairly slim and is not too heavy or bulky to carry around with you. Although the camera is not the best you can get on the market, it is still very good and images are of a decent quality. The video is also a good feature, you can even zoom in or out while using the video. Although this only comes with one game, Puzzle Slider (not great..) you can always download games and other stuff on the Sony Ericsson website,some things are free! I have had trouble trying to set up email and picture messaging on my phone,this is more to do with the fact I haven't received anything from O2 (I got it from the carphone warehouse - it is not i-mode) One of the best features of this phone is that it has an FM radio. ...I just simply have to write a review on the Sony Ericsson W550i phone because it is an awesome phone. At the time when it first came on the market in 2005, I was working for a mobile phone company, and it was the easiest phone to sell out of all of the possible options on our network. The reason for this is that the phone has a wide variety of functions, an incredibly good battery life, and is cheaper than the other Sony Ericsson phones of a similar quality. The key features of the phone are: 1.3 megapixel camera. This is a good standard of camera, though there are phones on the market with a 3 megapixel camera.
