Reviews of 6310i
6310i-buy it cheap and you won't regret it!
Review of Nokia 6310i by
grex9101
Advantages: Battery life is superb, nice looking
Disadvantages: Getting a touch long in the (blue)tooth!
...Hi guys (and gals!), I'm just about to sell my Nokia 6310i, ('cos i've upgraded) but i'd like to let you know how I got on with it, so here goes...
Cost:
When I first bought this phone, (October 2002) I paid £69.99 on an o2online contract, £20 per month. This was a good deal at the time. Inevitably, prices have dropped now, the current price is £29.99 (source www.o2.co.uk) on the same tariff. This phone is not available on pay as you go, so it's a case, as always of shopping around folks!
What's in the box?:
You get a few useful things in the box:
Installation cd-lets you sync your contacts and calender with outlook. You do have to buy an infrared, bluetooth, or cable connector to utilise this, as they're not included which is a bit of a shame.
Charger-charger!
Handest-handset!
Manual-Quite a thick manual, which...

MY OPINION: According to my research this phone has helped women break through the 'glass ceiling' :) By just carrying this phone people's perceptions change, it is a very simple, sophisticated phone that demands respect, very durable and amazing battery life. Review of Nokia 6310i by
richard356
Advantages: robust,simple,bluetooth,infrared,stylish
Disadvantages: long,'fat',old,polyphonic
...are on while it is next to your ear or in your hand. It is unlockable (I think my was done using a code from a free download). It has room for extra downloads because nokia saved room because they added only featured that you would use and not unnecceary features that would never get used although it is ‘tall and fat’ nokias design team made it look sophisticated and elegant whilst being simple and robust. For me this is one of nokias top phones simply for it uses ability and simppleness....

Not such a "Fuddy-Duddy" after all, eh?
Review of Nokia 6310i by
Whinger
Advantages: Great Battery Life & Reception, Bluetooth , GPRS, Tri-Band
Disadvantages: Non-Polyphonic, LCD Black & White, Dated Looks
...So many people these days seem to have mobile phones with great Polyphonic ring-tones and, to boot, cool up to date designs ... not to mention the ability to take digital photos!
I don't feel the 6310i can boast any of the above features and infact I have had quite a few friends ask me why I don't get something more 'up to date'. They have a point .... Now here's mine:
It's amazing how many of these modern looking phones with built-in camera and 'Poly' ring-tones still don't have bluetooth. The 6310i does however. To give you an idea how useful that can be just imagine a wireless connection from your laptop or PDA to the 6310i while travelling away from home and you want to surf the net or perhaps even more importantly read AND send emails!?!!
How about if you hate using the alpha-numeric keypad of a telephone to send text...

Long live the Understated King of Phones!
Review of Nokia 6310i by
Leggylad
Advantages: Usability, Battery, Look, Applications
Disadvantages: Out of Date????
...The Nokia 6310i - Fantastic.
If this phone were a car, it would be a Top of the range £100k Mercedes E-Class. It this phone were a Footballer it would be Zinadine Zidane. Undoubtable Class! There are more flamoyant phones, as there are more flamboyant cars and footballers, but you'd be very hard pushed to find better.
The Nokia 6310i has been in production for about two years now. It has evolved from the standard Nokia shape and been adapted for business use.
Basic Measurements -
It is a very stylish looking phone. It is quite tall at nearly 13cms, but with a depth of only 19mm it is slique and easily consealed in a jacket pocket. It is light at only 111g, but not so light that it feels fragile. Infact it is one the hardest phones to break, as I have found from a year of clumsiness.
Capabilities -
The 6310i works...

Dust Blights
Review of Nokia 6310i by
matt_caspell
Advantages: Sleek, elegant and easy to operate...
Disadvantages: ... Until one day it gave up. Details below.
...I loved my 6310i. My previous phone had been alikened to a house brick, and was the target of prolonged ridicule from my contemporaries. I would whip it out of my pocket, and passers by worried that I was about to bludgeon them with a weapon. Needless to say, I was pleased when I received a Nokia 6310i.
Unlike most modern phones, there is something of the 6310i, so it doesn't simply dissapear in your pocket. The elegant 6310i combines some of the more familiar, older designs of Nokia with slick, cutting edge technology which makes this mobile perfection from outside to in.
I was also relieved to discover that you could remove the battery of the 6310i with ease, as opposed to some of Nokia's other offerings, where it would require the prestidigitation of a surgeon to simply remove the battery pack.
So, for the first 3 months...
