A brilliant way to display your digital snaps.
Advantages: Crisp excellent colour. Brilliant way to show off your snaps. A great feature
Disadvantages: No battery facility.
...Back in December last year my local camera shop was running an excellent promotion. If you purchased a Nikon Coolpix camera you would get a free photo frame upto the value of £50. There are many of these frames to choose from ranging from as low as £25 for a 7? frame upto and above £80 for this Sony frame.
After looking at the different frames available I decided I would choose the Sony. It was the most stylish of them all and the picture quality was stunning. I added an extra £30 to the £50 rebate to purchase the Sony frame.
Setup and Installation.
When I got home I took the frame out of the well packed box. It came complete with a transformer to power the frame and also a remote control should you wish to use it. The instruction manual was brief but outlined the instructions with clear images to support the setup.
When you first...

Frame of the Future
Advantages: Great photo quality, effecient, can hold 500 pictures
Disadvantages: never taken 500 photos, hassle with memory card, easily forgotten
...Me and my mum saw our doctor with a digital frame in her office and we thought that was such a clever device we just had to get one. In a world where everything is pretty much digital it seemed logical to show our photos from our digital camera on this rather than leaving them on the computer.
***The Product***
It has a 7inch LCD frame which is photo quality. It will rotate your picture in the frame for correct viewing of landscape and portrait positions. The multi-card slot accepts Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, SD, MMC, CompactFlash, MicroDrive or xD media. Pictures from your computer can be easily transfered to the frame's memory with no software needed. The internal memory is 256MB which can hold up to 500 pictures to display on your frame. You can choose whether you wish to use the slideshow mode to show your photos or choose...

Pixelar digital frames 7" and 15"
Advantages: ease of use ,picture quality
Disadvantages: 7" couldnt wall hang...no slots
...i actually bought the 7" PWCL7 and PBCL15 FRAMES...little one for a friend as xmas present, and the big one for me..;-).
The quality of the 7" one when i started it up with an sd card out of my camera was surprisingly good for a little frame.Worked straight from plugging in really...also linked to pc and could download from pc via usb lead provided.Could orient the frame in portrait and lansdcape...but would need to orient the pics too...did via the remote control.picture bright and colour good.
The 15" one was lovely, with stunning picture quality..seems to have same software in it as 7"-handy as i bought two. This one can go on a wall using the screw recesses in back..and thoughtfully has a longer lead power supply for the wall hanging option...
Overall i am a happy chappy... (**)...

Pixelar 7 inch white digital photo frame
Advantages: nice looking, ease of use, multifunctional, excellent picture quality-with music at same time
Disadvantages: no wall hanging slots
...I bought this pwcl7 white digital photo frame from the pixelar website,
It came quickly-2 dys - and was well packaged,
I have bought a 5.6" one and another 7" elsewhere over last 18 months but i have to say i was impressed by the quaolity and functions available on this one.the picture quality was very good and it was very easy to use,
with good brightness and contrast range. The remote also had a mode function which enabled you to change from 16:9 to 4:3 ratio,,handy as most of my pictures are 4:3.
it wasnt the cheapest..like my other 7" i bought, but it certainly was a goodd money buy.
downsides.well i really wanted a black one but i found that this fits just about anywhere, currently on my office desk.Only criticism if i am being fair is that you cant wall hang it,but it may llook a bit daf that small on a wall.
Remote easy to use...

A Sony Digital Photo Frame Review
Advantages: Good if you have a lot of pictures on your computer.
Disadvantages: There is always something moving in the corner of your eye.
...I bought this digital photo frame for my eldest daughter as the sales assisstant in the shop said it is ideal for people with a lot of pictures and as she is leaving school soon she will have a lot of photos lying on the computer. This gift is ideal for people is their computer it full up with holiday pictures etc. It is a regular photo frame size, which is ideal. The picture quality is fantastic, however this depends on the quality of the camera you took the photo on in the first place. It is good that you can change the picture often by uploading new photos onto it (instructions make this very easy). You can choose which pictures you wish to view and how the transition of the photos occurs. The only down side is that if the photo is small then it doesn't stretch to the edges of the frame....

A Conversation Stopper
Advantages: Shows off loads of photos without the expense of priting
Disadvantages: Distracting in slideshow mode
...Having wracked my brains for something to get my wife for her birthday, I remembered that in the dim and distant past she'd said, 'Oo, I quite fancy one of those", 'one of those' being a digital photo frame.
She's currently getting pretty damned good with her holiday photography, using a facility like PhotoBox to create bound albums, calendars and the like, thus opening up a whole new source of present-giving opportunities, not to be sniffed at with Christmas coming.
The trouble is with albums like these, you don't tend to put all your photos in them, preferring to showcase what you consider to be the best of the bunch.
Unlike printed photos, the rest just stay mouldering away on disk, in the same way that more hours of TV programmes get recorded that actually get watched in playback.
A means to run them all as a slideshow...

Pixelar 7 inch white digital frame
Advantages: ease off use and many functions
Disadvantages: i want a bigger one!!
...This pwbcl7 7 inch digital photo frame is one of two i bought recently.
this was the more expensive one but is far superior.....the other living images one stopped working after 2 weeks.
the on screen menu is very straightfoirward, which is handy because i did wonder if the technology was going to be too much for me.
the remote control is simplicity itself.
One very handy option is the ability to switch between 16:9 and 4:3 picture ratios.,as 16:9 ratios are standard it seems on digital frames, but normal camera pictures are 4:3..so this option avoids cropping or stretching of photos.
the screen quality seems excellent, and the 256mb of internal memory is the highest i found for a 7 inch.
it plays videos clips too and sound ie music mp3 whilst photo slideshow playing.
Overall i would say its excellent value for money and may go...

SONY - THE NAME FOR FRAME ACCLAIM
Advantages: Crisp images, easy to use, looks lovely, large screen
Disadvantages: No USB Cable supplied - so no way of getting photographs onto the frame without buying one
...My Mum, bless her, can?t get her head around viewing photographs on a computer monitor, she is of the generation that like their pictures in albums or in a frame, to be enjoyed at her leisure, preferably in a comfy chair, and without the need for constant mouse clicking. Between the family members with digital cameras we have a fair number of digital photographs, numbering into the thousands in fact, but not having a limitless supply of ink and photo paper printing them off would be immensely costly, as well as time consuming. Clearly something had to be done to open up these many photographs to Mum, which is how I found myself toying with the idea of a digital photo frame for Mothers Day. The brief was to find one that was simple to operate, aesthetically pleasing and with enough storage to hold as many photographs as we could throw...

Remember those old family side shows?
Advantages: Cheap unit that's no worse than many of its expensive competitors
Disadvantages: Fiddly to use and limited viewing angle - do you really need one?
...I was a fairly early-comer to the use of digital photo frames. I'm not the kind of person who likes lots of photos scattered around the house but felt that, with a young son, I really should have some up. Irrational? Maybe.
Digital photo frames really sounded like the answer and Tesco's in-house brand of Technika caught my eye. The frames on offer were a fraction of the price of the branded products from the likes of Sony and Kodak but seemed to have very similar functionality. So, did my budget purchase make the grade? Kind of (but, to be honest the real answer should be "yes" as the more expensive models suffer from many of the same issues).
Style
The first frame I acquired was a simple 7" frame. Aesthetically it's clearly a plastic affair being white with a clear Perspex surround but it's simply styled and should...

I've got a 7 inch one - and it looks good!
Advantages: Great picture quality - everone can see
Disadvantages: None
...I?m sure I am like most people, I take loads of photographs with my digital camera, I might have a look at the photos through the view finder at the back of the camera, I might even run a quick slide show on my PC. However when I comes to showing friends & family the photos, it never seems to happen, mainly because it is too mush hassle to boot up the PC, run the slide show, and pass the PC around for people to see.
Well I have just remedied that situation!
*** What is it? ***
I have just bought a Kodak Easyshare SV710 Digital Picture Frame
A digital picture frame is just what it says, you load up your favourite photos, and leave it running, all can see and admire your latest creations. It is however much more that that, you can play videos through it, also you can play MP3 music files, so you can add a sound track to...
