1996 fiat coupe 20v
Review of Fiat Coupe 2.0 by richbay

Advantages: fantastic design, very reliable
Disadvantages: not much quicker that a mondeo or vectra driven hard

...Price when purchased £7250, mileage 63,000 full fiat survice history private sale. insurance groups: 20v is -17, 20v turbo -18 I shopped around and found this P plate to be the best value on the market at the time. However although the 20V engine is a great improvment on the 16V, i would purchase a 16v turbo, or 20v turbo as the 20v is not that fast when driven hard, and the rear end, does need stiffening to improve high speed handling. when driving the car on the roads i find it is not much faster in terms of acceleration than a 2 litre vectra or mondeo driven hard, which is a little disappointing. other comments, when buying a fiat coupe of any sort, check down the sides of the car for parking dents, the coupe has no body work protection and is easily dented by other cars. The bonnet has become very stone chipped due to the shape... Read review

F.F.F............Fuji
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S7000 by GUMMO1471

Advantages: Flexibility, Function, Features
Disadvantages: See review

...into a wide degree of chaos. These were: It had to look like a proper (SLR-Type) camera. It had to take more pixels than her current camera. It had to be able to be modified with different lenses/filters etc. After much trawling through the assorted mail-order catalogues, and multitudinous trips around the local photographic supply shops in Doncaster, SHE finally announced that she had decided upon the Fujifilm Finepix S7000 Zoom. It soon became obvious that a major reason for SHE's choice was the complete lack of stock in any of the normal haunts around the area. It is an inescapable law of shopping with my wife that, should she ever make a decision, the item in question will either be out of stock, discontinued or 'the last one in the shop' with 'only a little scratch'. Finally, having travelled over two hundred miles in search of one... Read review

Best Gti ever.
Review of VW Golf II GTI by biffo0911

Advantages: Fast, excellent handling, easy maintenance, plethora of parts available.
Disadvantages: None.

...I owned a 1987 VW Golf Gti 16V for around 2 years until I had to sell it recently. Although they are becoming rare, and any good ones that are left are quire expensive, this is a very good car. A lot of motoring enthusiasts agree that the mk II Gti was the last tru Golf Gti until the mk V came along. The mk III and IV are far too heavy for the power that their engines produce nad this weight affects the handling too. The 16V mk II has 137bhp as standard and the engine revs to 7500rpm, making it very rapid - 0-60 in under 8 seconds and a top speed of around 130mph. You have to drive this car to appreciate the handling compared to newer Gtis - it is very sure-footed and agile, and never understeers unless it is on a very wet, slow corner. Maintenance is also far simpler compared to most modern cars as all parts are readily available... Read review

FujiFilm FinePix S7000 vs The Lovely Dave
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S7000 by icatsai

Advantages: Nice feel, weight and stunning quality for the price
Disadvantages: Doesn't come with a case

...factor of the lovely Dave too. *sigh* The whole deal cost me £451. I narrowed the choice down to two, the Fujifilm FinePix S7000 and the Canon EOS 500D. There wasn't much to chose between the two with both having a similar number of cons, the biggest being the price. The Canon was almost £600 but is a true SLR, the Fujifilm was half the cost but wasn't quite so flexible. Hmmmm. After much pondering I decided that the exceptional 6x optical zoom on the S7000 was by far the most desirable feature for me. I photograph my artwork which requires that you get in nice and close in order to capture the smallest of details. The camera also boasts a macro and super macro setting so there is no need of purchasing a seperate macro lens. THE BASICS The Fujifilm FinePix S7000 is an "SLR type" camera. It is not a true SLR in that you cannot remove... Read review

fiat bravo HLX 1.8 16v
Review of Fiat Bravo 1.8 by bludclot

Advantages: Good looks, lots of space, fast & fun to drive
Disadvantages: poor dealer network

...faster. Fuel consumption is claimed to be 34mpg but it`s always less at around 30mpg. The standard alarm and immobiliser gives the HLX group 8 insurance, a very low rating for a 1.8 16v. Now that it has been replaced by the fiat stillo second hand prices are at bargin levels with 1996 N reg cars at around £2500 rising to around £7000 for a 2001 Y reg. Fiat dealers can be unhelpfull if problems arise so find a good garage and all should be plane sailing. As a cheap second hand buy i cant give it enough praise there simply is`nt a car that can match it for value for money.... Read review

Original Navigator still the best from Road Angel
Review of Road Angel Navigator by Sumifu

Advantages: Good mapping, clear speed display, easily understood speed warnings, great customer service
Disadvantages: It takes a minute or so to boot up - an age when you want to drive away NOW!

...I had my Road Angel Navigator stolen, and decided to replace it with the cheaper Road Angel Navigator 7000. It's OK-ish but I found the verbal direction instructions less clear and often they were provided too late, compared to the original Navigator. The mapping display is different between the original unit and the 7000 (they use different mapping systems). I couldn't see that the 7000 offered any key advantage or disadvantage in the map display itself, but it's big drawback is you don't get the simple direction display of the original Navigator unit - the one that automatically replaces the map and gives you simple, clear and easily-read directions such as "turn left on to A6 in 5 miles". The screen size for all of the current Navigator range from Road Angel is the same, although publicity material could lead you to believe... Read review

Any excuse? Damn right!
Review of VW Bora 1.6 SE  by Niknak

Advantages: Comfort, quality, equipment
Disadvantages:

...Having had my Bora for just under three months and covered over 12,000 miles already. It really is any excuse to get in the car. I used to loathe having to go down to London for meetings, now its "Yeah, great I'll fit in a trip to a client in Bristol as well!" My main reason for buying the car was its level of comfort as I do cover a few miles a week and spend most of my time sat in the car as a result. The level of equipment is commendable as well, a colleague recently got a 318i SE and I was appalled at how poorly equipped it was in comparison given the extra £7,000 it cost. Not a drink holder in sight, crappy stereo, plasticy interior. For that money I'd rather have a V5 Bora. The handling is great, in my view it's better than the Golf, just feels a bit more stable and no matter what anyone says it is not a Golf with a boot... Read review

Pirelli P6000
Review of Pirelli P6000 by lostsworld

Advantages: Will keep you on road
Disadvantages: Pricey

...car to car due to the cars size weight and performance. If you search the internet you will find plenty of sites breaking down exactly what tyres sizes are and what they mean but mine are as above. As I said I had 4 Pirelli P6000 on my car when I bought it as they are recommended for my car, for some reason I have 2 p6000 91h on the front and 2 P6000 powergy 91v on the back. Had the car 8 months now and still have these tyres on it but will need to replace front soon. The car has driven 7,000 miles in 8 months and tyres were new when I bought the car. 7000 - a bit low I bet you're thinking !. The rear tyres have really good tread on them and can see at my current rate of driving will probably last another 20,000 or maybe even 30,000 miles. The P6000 comes in two types, the standard P6000 and the P6000 powergy. Looking... Read review

A great car much maligned by a tedious motor press
Review of Alfa Romeo Spyder 3.0 by Bigjet

Advantages: Great Perfomance/Engine/Handling
Disadvantages: Thirsty and Expensive to Insure

...The Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0 V6 24 valve breathes a breath of fresh air into the Spider. This car goes ! no turbo is required above 3500 revs it just keeps on accelerating until you have to change gear at 7000 rpm. The car has real Italian flair, the handling is excellent although with some scuttle on rough roads and a little torque steer if you put your foot down in low gears. The steering is very direct through the power steering, but the turning circle is quite poor. The V6 engine is faultless, the engine note is superb and it drives in town just as easily as it does when driven hard. The car does not have traction control, 4wd or any other fancy gizmos other than ABS. In my opinion it does not need them either and manages to put the 220 bhp down on the road quite effectively. The interior finish in my car is very good... Read review

FORD MONDEO ST200 VERY FAST CAR
Review of Ford Mondeo ST200 by lyndsayw

Advantages: Fast, Spacious, Reliable, Family Car to win the miss's over for having a fast car
Disadvantages: Limited amount made, expensive inurance

...This is a must car for any Ford enthusiast that has a family to consider as well as wanting a car that will shift when you plant your foot firmly to the floor. The Mondeo ST 200, (201 BHP but the name sounds better rounded off). This is produced from a bullet proof Duratech 2544cc V6 engine. The car has traction control and ABS to help you in any emergency situation. The ST 200 was made from 1999 to 2000 on a T, V, W and X plate due to the revision of the new car registration dates. Therefore these are a rare car to get hold of, especially the 500 limited edition versions. The cars body work was not changed much from the ST24 apart from a couple of minor changes such as the grill. The interior is great as the front recaro’s hug you into them as you through the car round corners. The dash is amazing with the blue clocks only meant... Read review
