I use this monitor with Windows XP so I had no problems using it as the drivers are loaded into XP. For Windows 98/95/ME you can use the CD (supplied) to configure the monitor properly. The speakers were the same plug and play no CD required for Windows 98/95/ME just power up. The Quality: The picture quality of the monitor is very good, the image is crisp and clear and the screen is nice and big, the monitor supports high resolutions of upto 1290x1024 with upto an 85 hertz rate for less fickering. The best resolution I find is 1024x768 or the writing is so small you cant read it...

Controlling the Simm

...a sticky mess. A 5" figure of the Master has been made for us to enjoy. The figure does look quite like John Simm, who played the Master. His facial features are a little different but his hair line is good. He wears the suit and tie outfit that Simm wears in Series three, Last of the Timelords. He also comes with a mini ultra sonic screwdriver that the master carries around with him. This figure is not only good to look at but it is quite posable too. It has bendable arms and legs, and his head turns from side to side too, although be it stiffly. His screwdriver also stays in his hand well. Unfortunatly he does not balance much when standing, so it is best to lie him down! I paid £8 for my figure from Asda whichis the usual price you;d expect to pay. However it is exceptionally hard to get hold of him. I have seem him twice in Asda, and now...

Chip and PIN - A step forward?

Advantages: Much better security (as harder to forge a pin you can't see), so less fraud!
Disadvantages: Having to remember PIN numbers of multiple cards

...The new Chip and PIN system is definitely quite different from standard credit and debit card use as it was before, and personally, I think it's a fantastic idea. I've always considered a signature for verification purposes to be a bad idea when the very signature you'd need to verify the card somebody could have stolen can easily be forged by looking at the card itself! With the new system, verification is performed on a separate machine for the consumer, who enters in a four digit PIN code, much as when in a cash machine at a bank, without the need for them to sign anything, and all verification done electronically, which is much more reliable. It has fantastic operating system software like the Microsoft windows vista business/XP professional downgrade and also it is provided with the security lock slots, administrator pass word and so on. Getting PC like this is not really a bad idea because it has been in full use in my office and has not gotten any problem since functioning. But the thing with the PC is that it is not that easy to install and so needs to read fully on the manual for company's directions and guide. So if In need of the HP business desktop DC5800-core duo E8200 2.66 GHz, IT247.com is a very good alternative...

Those of you who remember my stunning, wrongly uncrowned review of the HP300 will remember how it ran out after just 140 pages. Well, this time I splashed out on the upgrade. Basically, these cost £30 each, although I picked them up on ebay for around £19 brand new and sealed. They are print cartridges that do a lot more than the HP300. The black and white cartridge will give 600 pages of print (4 times what I got out of its baby brother at just twice the price). The colour one gives 440 pages. Apprehensive at first as my memory of JJ72 is from years ago when they got over played on the radio, I remember that voice and thinking what a horribly whiney bunch of garble, I now know the voice to belong to Greaney. Well they did two performances and it was the best live performance i have ever seen. Oxygen especially just blew me away. So I bought the album JJ72. And I love it. Personally it means a lot to me because it got me through a very low point in my life but whatever the state of your life the albums melodic brilliance demands your attention. Admitadly this isnt the type of album you are going to put on at a party to get everyone dancing or the kind of album you are going to have on when you are cruising around on a summer day, roof down.
