R850GS long distance review

Advantages: Superb Handling and build quality

...For any of you contemplating the purchase of a s/h R850GS, I owned one for 12 months last year and would endorse it as the "best" bike I have ever owned. For two and a half months I traveled Europe from the battle fields of Ypres through Normandy, Brittany , to the Dordoine. Then accross the French Alps into Italy. Right accross Italy to Austria via the Brenner Pass, then down to Vienna. Back to Bavaria, then along lake constance accross into France again and via Champagne, Poitiers and central France to Calais and Home. throughout this journey, the GS performed impeccably, no breakdowns,glitches or any problem, even one stretch where I was in the saddle from 9am to 9am travelling right accross France, she didn't miss a beat. VOLVO 850 T5R

Advantages: Just read and you will find out!
Disadvantages: Servicing should be completed regularly and some problems can persist in some vehicles.

Well, it has to be the T5R We have had our T5R for a couple of years, and we paid around 16K for it. It was second-hand but with very low mileage, excellant condition and in the Primula yellow we wanted. Advantages: Looks, size, touchscreen
Disadvantages: Price

..., because the camera isn't covered so it's at risk of being scratched. My MX850 thoughts!

Advantages: Finally an all in one with network support from Canon
Disadvantages: Reasonably bulky with some very poor setup software

...said this being a fax printer it wouldn't normally be turned off - just allowed to turn itself into standby in which case its ready for printing in about 10 seconds. The on screen display makes using the printer a bit of a doddle, it has adjustment for angle but sadly not contrast although it is good enough from factory anyway. The button layout and general ease of use is improved from the MP750 substantially. Print quality is exceptional, both for speed and results - I could ramble on here about it but to say you shouldn't be disappointed will suffice I think. CD/DVD printing is still just as easy as before but a huge plus over the old one is that the MX850 has a storage slot for the CD tray (beneath the main paper drawer) when its not in use. Sony Walkman 850i

Advantages: Very stylish, great music player, very powerful tool

...Well with some trepidation i recently upgraded to the W850i when contract renewal time came around. Having read a few bad reports about this product i almost went for one of its rivals, however i stuck to my guns as the W850i offered the features i most wanted, and in one of the most stylish packages. So to the phone, no need to list its functions plenty of others have done that, but more to point out the really useful bits, and the misguided advice of others. I can only speak from a TMobile service users point of view, but so far i have had no problem getting a signal wherever i am in the uk, which is a vast improvement on the performance of my old Samsung, although that was with Voda. Then to the music part, for an old git the ability to store a good few CDs worth of music is more than sufficient, and the 1GB card supplied...

Advantages: Loads of boot space, loads of extras and excellent safety

...Volvo's...square,ugly old peoples cars. Well no. The 850 released in about 1994 was part of the big image change for volvo and was the first step in the V70 evolution. T The basic car an 850SE 20v was better than most of its opponents and was cheap. The 850 is built like a brick but fortunately doesnt look like one as much as the older Volvos. Some may say that it looks like a slab but what do you expect from a big estate car with the legendary huge volvo boot?. The 850 carries Volvo's reputation for being tremendously safe cars, and now with airbags in the front and between the 3inch thick doors and comfy seats, this is no exeption. The base model does about 125mph at a respectable 10.4secs or if you buy the T5 or R version, you will be burning off those sportscars, as they reach 60 in under 7 seconds. The interior is not bad...
