Advantages: Image adjustments to give great view, waterproof, adjustable eye-relief Disadvantages: fixed magnification, average build and design quality
...Binoculars are mainly used by bird watchers as to get a closer look at them. Many people also use binoculars for occasions such as holidays where they travel to destinations of natural beauty. Using a binocular enables them to see the scenic beauty from a better and closer perspective. The Olympus 8X25 WPI is labeled professional, but can obviously be used by everyday and ordinary people.
These particular binoculars have an 8x magnification ability. This is simply the power of magnification on the binoculars, the 8x magnification means that the object or area you view through the binoculars is going to appear 8x larger or closer. The 8x magnification also means that this is the maximum and minimum magnification power of the binoculars. You cannot view an object or place with a lesser or higher magnification than 8x. If in...

... SWAROVSKI EL 8x 32
Some words of explanation... The name 'binocular' derives from the Latin bi (meaning two) and oculus (meaning eye) and describes a hand held optical device whose function is essentially to magnify distant images using an eyepiece and so allow them to be examined in detail.
* Objective lens - this is the large lens at the far end of the binocular.
* Ocular lens - the lens in the eyepiece.
There are two main designs of binocular:
* Porroprism: traditional, classic shape and design.
* Roof-prism: recognized by its straight tube like appearance.
Prism - a block of glass with triangular section having accurately polished edges, used to reflect light. Roof prism binoculars tend to have straight barrels.
What do the figures mean? All binoculars have a set of two figures indicating...

Review of Leica 8X 32 BN
Advantages: Light, compact, excellent optical quality Disadvantages: compromises have still been made
....
Described as an 8x21 reverse porroprism design, this means you get 8x magnification (6.4 degrees field of view) with a 21mm objective lens - quite adequate for daylight use, in a 'compact' format - the front lenses step inwards towards the central axis instead of outwards in traditional binoculars.
I would far rather settle for better quality optics at a lower magnification rate than struggle with high magnification poorer optics, the images are less fuzzy, easier to get in view, and don't shake about as much.
Porroprism binoculars have for many years been considered better than the alternative 'roof prism' variety, and whilst modern materials and computer aided design have reduced that difference significantly, they are still cheaper and lighter.

...branded disks over the years, and Sony are definitely the best that I have used, from a quality and cost point of view. A common problem with many other brands is that they will only play movies on certain makes of DVD players, but the Sony disks have played on several different DVD players for me without fail.
The Sony DVD-R can hold up to 4.7Gb of information, which is standard, and are of a 'write once' capability. The disks can store video, audio and multimedia files of any kind, and can burn up to a maximum of 4x speed, although there are also disks available that burn up to 8x & 16x speed.
If you want high quality DVD-R disks for all your multimedia purposes, then I would highly recommend Sony....
Advantages: Awesome build quality, easy to handhold, very high overall sharpness of image, neutral colour balance of image Disadvantages: Close focus disappointing, some colour fringing in extreme contrast situations
...Having owned a pair of Leitz 10 x 40 BA/N Binoculars and sold them I had always wanted to own a pair of the newer style Trinovids.
The catalogue issued by Leica waxed lyrical about the numerous improvements which had been made over the previous Leitz models.
Obviously the first thing noticed was the improved shape and ergonomics, easy to handhold and focus. Now I'm comparing two different types of binocular as I'd previous owned a pair of 10x40 as opposed to the 8x50's. The main reason for a change was the ability to hold the 8x more steady than the 10x-but that is really the only comparison I have.
Now the business side of things-the optical performance. Leica had clamed big things for it's new range of Binoculars involving new glasses and lens coating and also something called
Phase-Correction coating of the prisms.
Did it...
...Introduction
*************
I have only just started buying these types of DVD and because I have been so impressed with them I thought I might try writing a review about them.
When you walk into most computer shops some where this is a row or a table just full of DVD?s making it hard to know what your looking at so to help you the consumer I hope this review might help.
Price
******
I have being buying packs of 25 for around about £3.50 per pack meaning that each one only costs about 14 pence per disc which isn?t bad. I have looked at a number of other brands and have found that there is not much difference in price compared to this type of DVD except maybe by a couple of pence.
Speed
********
The speed of this DVD is 8x meaning that 8x is the maximum speed that data can be written to it which is all well and good...

e) I've driven an express steam locomotive, if only for 400 yards. My goodness, isn't using the brakes difficult? It's nothing like the progressive feel of a road vehicle. I could get used to someone shovelling the coal in for me though!
f) 'Eff?' OK, so I can't count but it's related to (e) so sue me. I've got a train named after me, well let's put it this way, there's a train with my name on it - see photo.

Review of Everything About me
Advantages: good quality dual layer, fast writing, printable Disadvantages: none
...I have bought this pack of 25 in a cake box from Amazon.co.uk a week ago for £13.28 (really and it still is the same price). On the face of it, it is truely a bargain.
When I read the Amazon user reviews, there was a mixed reaction. It appeared that at certain period of time the media quality was quite bad and then it improved recently. So I dived in.
Price comparison with other brands:
Verbatim 8X DVD+R dual layer pack of 25 - £24.48 (almost twice the price but expected to be excellent quality)
Memorex 8x DVD+R dual layer pack of 10 - £8.99
Aone 8x DVD+R dual layer pack of 10 - £5.20 (similar price per disc but I don't know this brand at all ! This could be third class material)
Specification:
DVD+R 8x dual layer
Printable if you have a CD/DVD printer (inkjet or thermo). I haven't got one therefore freehand drawing.
