My 18 month contract with T-Mobile is coming up for renewal next week, however having had problems gaining reception in my area I'd opted to look elsewhere for a new contract. A few weeks back my problems were solved when I was shopping around to try and find the best mobile contract, and discovered that O2 would be stocking the Apple iPhone as of November the 9th. Not only was I looking for a new mobile contract, but also a replacement MP3 player so the Apple iPhone seemed ideal. I made plans to purchase the iPhone and on the evening of release made my way down to the nearest O2 store upon finishing work, bagging myself my very own iPhone at a price of £269. The best iPod / Phone!

Advantages: unbelivably sexy and beautiful, wonderful internet and video / music
Disadvantages: needs a couple of firmware updates to become the perfect phone

iPhone I like

Advantages: Modern technology, amount of software and number of devices.
Disadvantages: No protective case.

The iPhone Masterpiece

Advantages: Visual beauty, ipod perfection, photo demon, movies screen, internet anywhere! PERFECT!
Disadvantages: cost and network locking (easily overcome) and ringtones (overcome aswell)

It has an overall of 4 buttons and a switch. 1 for the home screen, 2 for sound, 1 for on and off and the switch to mute sound. The rest is controlled by your fingers on the 3.5" touch screen. Advantages: Packed with applications, very handy and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Keyboard is hard to use, no flash player and not very durable without a case.

Advantages: MultiRegion, plays all formats of CD/DVD
Disadvantages: Minor glitches on some DVD's and certain CDR media

...As someone who travels a lot to other countries, I purchase a lot of DVD's from overseas. This saves me a lot of money for starters and also allows me to own the film prior to UK release. Prior to owning one of these players, I have had numerous others including those which had been 'chipped'. With a hardware chipped player, certain film studios decided to use a seperate encryption process which would mean that the DVD would not play on machines that had said 'chips' installed. A classic example of this is the Region 1 version of "A Knights Tale". I purchased a Dansai DVD1010 prior to this one, and although it had all the same functions as the 955, it lacked analogue 5:1 output (which I already owned a 5:1 analogue speaker setup).
