Although I was initially dubious by the claims of the machines "super silent" features, I was very impressed by the performance that the machine gives whilst still being quiet. TouchScreen I like the touchscreen on this phone; it saves having to scroll through different menus to access what you want as you can just directly touch the button needed. From the desktop, you have two options; the main menu and a shortcut menu where you can add your own icons for things that you use most often. I think that this type of usage helps speed up what you wish to do and it also just makes it seem more advanced than phones without touchscreens. It benefits from a 1600 spin cycle, which gets a lot more water out than our old machine, and so cuts down on drying times. Drying This is pretty good. There are different options for iron dry, hanger dry and cupboard dry and you can also set it to dry for smaller chunks of time (smallest is 40 minutes, though, and it would be good to have a 10-minute option). You can include a spin in the drying cycle (in the cotton option), which is useful in reducing creases and there is also a reduce creases button (though I haven't used this, so cannot report on its effectiveness). I bought the Canon Ixus 960 IS as a solution to taking a digital SLR, plus lenses etc. due to hand luggage restrictions as it easily fits in a pocket. The image quality is pin sharp, focussing exceptional and since I have problems with camera shake due to arthritis I was overjoyed to find that the image-stabiliser technology works really well, except in the very darkest of night shots (taken on the cruise ship's deck). It comes with a very easy to understand manual has a 7kg drum which is great and LCD display, the size of the drum allowes you to put more washing in and, cuts down on the amount of times you have to use the washer. I have washed a double quilt in it and put it on a 1600 spin, i was amazed at how clean it was and was not that wet, i am able to put all my king size bedding in , ie cotton quilt cover, bottom sheet, valance sheet and 4 pillow cases all in one go. I had to do 2 loads in my old washer which was only a 5kg.
