Aspiring to be inspiring! Is this another Ace Acer?

Advantages: SUPERB battery life, relatively portable and very slim.
Disadvantages: For basic and general business use, not games.

Firstly, I want to make clear that the Acer Aspire 4810T is a laptop to consider for business use, or non-graphics-intensive applications such as Word, Excel and standard internet browsing. If you are expecting to be able to play the latest video games and run graphics designer packages, then you'd be better off looking at other laptops with better stats than this one. What it does have in its favour is an increased battery life of around 7 hours, possibly as much as 8 - and a very slim and portable design with a gorgeous 14" screen. It is in a word SEXY! Acer as a laptop company are beginig to grow, and they are now just as well know as a lot of others, but then I first saw then in shops, my first impression, and the impression of others I asked was they seemed a bit of a cheap brand, just like netto is compared to Sainsbury's. however acer have somehow seemed to change peoples minds and even managed to change my mind somehow. If you want something sturdy, with a solid specification and in a mid price range of around £500, yet you could get one a lot cheaper now on eBay. Then this laptop could be for you. Its Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor runs at 2GHz which is pretty good, and its has 1 gb of ram too. This makes it a lot faster than a lot of other laptops with only 1 gb of ram though because its processor is so quick...

...A great buy! Having used computers for years but never having bought one of my own or being very 'technically' minded I had no clue what kind of a laptop I needed or wanted. Basically I just wanted something stylish to use the internet on at home! I therefore asked one of my friends who was much more 'up' on these things. The Acer range came very highly recommended and now owning one myself I carry on the good reports! I've had laptops at work and also used friends some of which have been slightly ugly, bulky or square and boring lookin, this I'm pleased to say is none of the above. The screen is crystal clear, the keys are smooth and light on your fingers but not over sensitive, it's also light and good looking. Acer aspire one A110

Advantages: Fast and ultra portable
Disadvantages: There is no disadvantage to owning this computer

...I own the 8GB linux version in white. It is cute and compact with a glossy finish. The Aspire One running linux is surprisingly fast considering its 512MB of ram. It is perfect for wirelessly browsing the web using fire fox. The keyboard is just short of full size making it the perfect tool for typing an e-mail or essay whilst out and about. The open office documents can be saved as word, powerpoint or excel documents so they are microsoft compatible. I chose the 8GB version for the increased durability, I have not yet filled the hard drive but when I do there is a storage expansion slot which will take an SD card. The Aspire one is a great little computer well worth its small price tag...
