Advantages: Great Design, Powerful components, Blu-Ray, good value for money Disadvantages: heavier than comparable notebooks, makes 15.4" screens look ugly
...After 3 weeks of owning the aceraspire6920G i can safely say it is the best laptop i have ever used (or even see other people use), the elegant design, uniquely awesome 16" screen and the great price/performance ratio makes for one great laptop.
One of the first things you will notice when you first turn on the laptop is the 'Cinedash' media bar on the left of glossy keyboard. Essentially it is just a funkier version of the standard media hotkeys prevailent on all but the most budget of laptops, but it is a wonder to behold. If nothing else it just makes the whole of the laptop seem just that little bit more stylish, even if it does attract the attention of every friend/family/flatmate/spouse, meaning that for all the faffing with the touch pad volume slide, you can hardly get a chance to use the laptop yourself at first...

Advantages: Blu-ray, full HD, built in 5.1, HDMI, performance, media controls, battery life Disadvantages: None known...
...on a keyboard, with the keyboard on this acer, from the start they feel easy to push, you do make some small mistakes, but after time typing is easier and quicker, the keys are softer than other laptops, so no annoying tapping noises and the layout style looks nicer than most laptops.
Monitor - looks much better than my old laptop, which is only a year old, very impressed!
Performance -very fast, suitable for gaming with most modern games, very quick at general tasks. Very good for internet use, youtube etc... usually im doing about 6 things at once...currently i have 7 internet pages open, one playing music from youtube, i am importing CDs to iTunes, im speaking to 10 people on msn (on webcam to 2!) and im using windows live mail updatig every 2 minutes checking for emails - good eh!

Review of AcerAspire6920G
Advantages: Nice keyboard; good value Disadvantages: Only two USB ports and battery life
...This laptop comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core (T4300) 2.1GHz Processor, 4096MB Memory RAM, 320GB 5400rpm Serial ATA Hard Drive, and a 1.65 inch widescreen as well as a DVD-RW, integrated webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have owned an Acer PC for about 2 years and have been totally impressed with it - even when accessing their support they had been so helpful so I was really pleased to receive this brilliant little laptop as a Christmas present.
I use it mainly for internet (including shopping, banking and accessing my work remotely), e-mail with some word processing and use of Excel. It comes with a trial version of Office (Home and Student) as well as McAfee antivirus (trial) and Windows 7 from PC World. It has a host of other "freebies".
I am not a gamer so I am unable to comment on its capabilities as far as that is concerned...

Review of AcerAspire 5738
Advantages: Value for money, comfortable keyboard, widescreen Disadvantages: lack of USB ports, tricky to open on occasions
...I have recently purchased the Acer Laptop aftermuch deliberation and price comparison searches on the internet and I have to admit I am thrilled with my choice.
My laptop was bought for £399 including Windows 7 from PC world in November 2009.
I mainly use my laptop for work (specifically number crunching on Excel spreadsheets and typing prose in emails and Word), internet shopping, banking and watching films/catch-up TV. I am not a gamer and only occasionally use Skype although with the built in webcam that this laptop boasts I am starting to use it more purely due to the ease.
To start with, the keyboard is perfect for someone who is used to touch typing. My previous laptops have had quite shallow keys and have not been particularly comfortable or easy to type at speed. The AcerAspire has soft, large and comfortable keys...

...A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice.

Review of AcerAspire 5738
Advantages: 16" Widescreen, Blue-ray, media controls, good battery life Disadvantages: One word - VISTA
...-centre keyboard (due to the media controls to the left of it) would cause me some problems, but I got used to it very quickly, helped in part by the soft touch. What is still taking me a bit of getting used to is the 'slide control' for the volume, which feels more step than slide.
The built in wireless is so far flawless, having not had a single dip, or drop-out, despite many hours of internet use. I've not yet given it a range test but it manages very well indoors.
The HD screen, Blue-ray and 5.1 are perfect for movies, although I do have some occasional problems with output from the sub, and I've not been able to switch from 1366x768 to 1920x1080, but I strongly suspect these are Vista issues rather than hardware ones.
My only bitch ...is nothing to do with Acer, but is instead the dreaded Microsoft and their afwul Vista. I don...

Review of AcerAspire6920G
Advantages: Equipped with most features Disadvantages: heavy
...A sexy laptop with cinema function. Superbest sound quality which equipped with Acer Tuba CineBass booster supporting low-frequency effects and 5 built in speakers. Powerful Nvidia Graphic Card for supporting full HD LCD monitor and ultimate for games. Blu-ray optical drive as addtional plugin enabled full HD movies watching. Massive storage up to 320 gigabyte is more than enough for storing games, movies, songs and other files. Built in finger print reader gives more data protection otherwise. On comparing to other laptops, its function, sleeky and touchy appearance make it outstanding and the most considerable one. Although it is as heavy as 3 kilogram, it features had outweighted its weight. For more information, go to the offical website and grab one for yourself now!...

Review of AcerAspire6920G
Advantages: High specifications, fingerprint reader,16" widescreen supporting 16:9 format. Disadvantages: Very bulky, kinda weird keyboard layout, too much buttons.
...can easily upgrade your RAM specification later by adding extra RAM at a cost. Always check the capability and ports of the laptop and motherboard before upgrading the RAM.. If this is something you are not sure about you can always consult with the shop assistant before upgrading the RAM specification.
It has a massive 250GB hard disk, which is more than enough for my needs. I am really satisfied with the storage amount of this laptop. Though, the hard disk was not divided into different drives. Later, I decided to divide the drives into different for the ease of access and use. In case my C drive is to crash, at least my important data and information may be safe in other drives.
The most amazing thing about Acer laptops that I like is their spacious and well laid out keyboards. The keyboard of this laptop is simply amazing it has...
