...A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice.

Review of AcerAspire 5738
Advantages: Looks, Value, Speed, Performance Disadvantages: Speakers sometimes break
...Well where do i start with the AcerAspire6930G?
First of all:
Appearance: The sleek smooth looking laptop looks brilliant. The Deep Sea Blue colour on the top. Also in the center of the laptop is the ACER logo which glows up white when the laptop is in use.The PC looks great when clean. However due to the material used to make the machine a few touches of your hand will quickly spoil its good looks. Also it is VERY easy to scratch but with a careful owner, a good clean from time to time and a laptop bag for storage the outside of the laptop will look top condition.
After opening up the laptop:
As you open the laptop and turn on the machine the first thing that hits you are the stunning blue lights that blast on as soon as you touch the power on button. With a neat touch panel running along the top of the keyboard there are volume...

Review of AcerAspire6930
Advantages: Nice keyboard; good value Disadvantages: Only two USB ports and battery life
...This laptop comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core (T4300) 2.1GHz Processor, 4096MB Memory RAM, 320GB 5400rpm Serial ATA Hard Drive, and a 1.65 inch widescreen as well as a DVD-RW, integrated webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have owned an Acer PC for about 2 years and have been totally impressed with it - even when accessing their support they had been so helpful so I was really pleased to receive this brilliant little laptop as a Christmas present.
I use it mainly for internet (including shopping, banking and accessing my work remotely), e-mail with some word processing and use of Excel. It comes with a trial version of Office (Home and Student) as well as McAfee antivirus (trial) and Windows 7 from PC World. It has a host of other "freebies".
I am not a gamer so I am unable to comment on its capabilities as far as that is concerned...

Review of AcerAspire 5738
Advantages: Value for money, comfortable keyboard, widescreen Disadvantages: lack of USB ports, tricky to open on occasions
...I have recently purchased the Acer Laptop aftermuch deliberation and price comparison searches on the internet and I have to admit I am thrilled with my choice.
My laptop was bought for £399 including Windows 7 from PC world in November 2009.
I mainly use my laptop for work (specifically number crunching on Excel spreadsheets and typing prose in emails and Word), internet shopping, banking and watching films/catch-up TV. I am not a gamer and only occasionally use Skype although with the built in webcam that this laptop boasts I am starting to use it more purely due to the ease.
To start with, the keyboard is perfect for someone who is used to touch typing. My previous laptops have had quite shallow keys and have not been particularly comfortable or easy to type at speed. The AcerAspire has soft, large and comfortable keys...

Review of AcerAspire 5738
Advantages: Plenty of features, good all-round performance, sturdy Disadvantages: Glossy screen, a bit heavy to be truly portable
...My old (really, really old) Dell Inspiron 1100 was on its last legs. While it was still capable of running my required applications without too much trouble, the battery struggled to last ten minutes once disconnected from the mains. As a replacement battery was nearly £100, I decided just to buy a new laptop.
I searched some of the forums that I frequent and found that the best value-for-money tends to be spending between £400 and £500, so with £500 as my upper limit, I went on the hunt.
The Acer6930G was the best specced laptop I could find at under £500. I sought out opinions from other Acer owners and the response was stacked well in their favour for being reliable, sturdy machines. With that in mind, I had no qualms about handing over £480 to Amazon.
Initial set up can take some time, especially if, like me, you want to...

Review of AcerAspire6930
Advantages: Great look, tv - tuner, great to use, competitive price. Disadvantages: Off-centre keyboard, less than average battery life.
...I don?t know if you can be a fan of a computer company, but if you can, then I?m an Acer fan (and accidental poet). This laptop is a fine addition to an excellent range.
Look
Lightweight, futuristic, classy and sporting a few unique features, such as an interesting shaped space bar and, for seemingly no reason, an off-centre keyboard, this didn?t bother me that much, but it may be something to consider when buying it. The AcerAspire 6935G definitely pulls off a look of its own. It is a reasonable size for a laptop and quite ergonomically designed.
Function
It comes with everything you?d expect from a laptop as well as an in-built TV tuner complete with attached remote control. The keyboard, despite being off-centre was well-built and features a standard QWERTY layout; it comes with a reasonably sized and sensitive...

Review of AcerAspire 6935G
Advantages: Great Design, Powerful components, Blu-Ray, good value for money Disadvantages: heavier than comparable notebooks, makes 15.4" screens look ugly
...After 3 weeks of owning the aceraspire 6920G i can safely say it is the best laptop i have ever used (or even see other people use), the elegant design, uniquely awesome 16" screen and the great price/performance ratio makes for one great laptop.
One of the first things you will notice when you first turn on the laptop is the 'Cinedash' media bar on the left of glossy keyboard. Essentially it is just a funkier version of the standard media hotkeys prevailent on all but the most budget of laptops, but it is a wonder to behold. If nothing else it just makes the whole of the laptop seem just that little bit more stylish, even if it does attract the attention of every friend/family/flatmate/spouse, meaning that for all the faffing with the touch pad volume slide, you can hardly get a chance to use the laptop yourself at first...

Review of AcerAspire 6920G
Advantages: classy design, 250GB hard drive, core 2 duo processor, acer technology Disadvantages: large design
...After researching laptops for months and months to find a suitable model to use for university, i settled comfortably with the aceraspire, as it has many advantages compared to other laptops with similar specifications.
For my course i need a lot of memory, and so the 250GB hardrive was a big attraction for me. The laptop in fact has two separate drives each with over 100GB of disk space. This allows you to separate your data appropriately, for example i keep all of my media such as music on pictures on the D drive while i install my programmes and keep important data on the C drive.
The laptop also has 2GB RAM and so i instantly noticed a difference in speed between it and my old dell desktop computer. You can have many applications running at one time without anything crashing or slowing down. The 5920 uses intel centrino core 2...
