Advantages: small, powerful, stylish. Quality laptop Disadvantages: poor battery life, screen has it's up and down sides.
...Well having previously owned an MSI wind u90, a very 'budget' netbook i finally made the upgrade to a more beefier ultra portable laptop, and after many hours spent looking for one, I opted to go for the AcerFerrari one. I was looking for the best prices and to my pleasant surprise it was best value for money at argos! £399.99 seemed to be the average price, but the argos model came with 3GB ram instead of the usual 2, so i was instantly sold!
The acerferrari one is the result of a coming together of Ferrari, and their computer specialist sponsors, AMD and Acer. The Ferrari one is the first 'netbook' to incorporate a dual core processor and the first offered by AMD as an alternatively to the widely popular Intel Atom. With a dual core processor and dedicated ATI HD3200 graphics (as opposed to standard integrated intel graphics...
Advantages: Nice keyboard; good value Disadvantages: Only two USB ports and battery life
...This laptop comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core (T4300) 2.1GHz Processor, 4096MB Memory RAM, 320GB 5400rpm Serial ATA Hard Drive, and a 1.65 inch widescreen as well as a DVD-RW, integrated webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have owned an Acer PC for about 2 years and have been totally impressed with it - even when accessing their support they had been so helpful so I was really pleased to receive this brilliant little laptop as a Christmas present.
I use it mainly for internet (including shopping, banking and accessing my work remotely), e-mail with some word processing and use of Excel. It comes with a trial version of Office (Home and Student) as well as McAfee antivirus (trial) and Windows 7 from PC World. It has a host of other "freebies".
I am not a gamer so I am unable to comment on its capabilities as far as that is concerned...

Review of Acer Aspire 5738
Advantages: Looks good, lots of connectivity options Disadvantages: Slow, short battery life, Athlon CPU
...I first saw this laptop in a PC magazine last year. It may have not been this exact model, but the radical Ferrari styling caught my eye and intrigued me. A couple of months ago a friend of mine, upset at the fact that he couldn?t afford a real Ferrari decided to settle down with a consolation purchase and get this Ferrari styled laptop ? the Acer 3200. Sadly, unlike it motor counterpart, this laptop feels more like a Vauxnall Nova stuck in a Ferrari?s body.
Design
Design is this laptop?s strongest feature. It?s bright red exterior stands out and looks shiny and smooth, thanks to a scratch-resistant coating. The inside of the case is made from something known as silver-magniesium alloy, which not only sounds cool but is also quite strong (like Wolverine?s claws I?m guessing). Ferrari?s logo is subtly situated in the bottom right...

Review of AcerFerrari 3200LMi
Advantages: Value for money, comfortable keyboard, widescreen Disadvantages: lack of USB ports, tricky to open on occasions
...I have recently purchased the Acer Laptop aftermuch deliberation and price comparison searches on the internet and I have to admit I am thrilled with my choice.
My laptop was bought for £399 including Windows 7 from PC world in November 2009.
I mainly use my laptop for work (specifically number crunching on Excel spreadsheets and typing prose in emails and Word), internet shopping, banking and watching films/catch-up TV. I am not a gamer and only occasionally use Skype although with the built in webcam that this laptop boasts I am starting to use it more purely due to the ease.
To start with, the keyboard is perfect for someone who is used to touch typing. My previous laptops have had quite shallow keys and have not been particularly comfortable or easy to type at speed. The Acer Aspire has soft, large and comfortable keys...

Review of Acer Aspire 5738
...A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice.

While i wouldn't say its likely to fall apart, this laptop isn't one i would fancy dropping down the stairs. After days the incredibly glossy rear screen was scratched and lead me to buying...

Review of Acer Aspire 5738
Advantages: Looks great. Gorgeous screen. Disadvantages: Not very upgradeable. Bluetooth mouse unreliable.
...I bought my AcerFerrari laptop in October 2005 - plenty of time to have forged a decent opinion of it. My ratings are based on my opinion of the machine NOW, compared to the speed and performance of contemporary computers.
I wanted something that had enough power to play games and do anything else I wanted. When bought, I had intended it to be capable of becoming a desktop replacement - that didn't happen, as, being a bit of a hardware junkie, the desktop machine has continued to get more and more powerful.
Anyway...back to the Acer. I was so excited when it arrived. You see, since getting my first 8-bit computer in 1983, I've never actually had a brand new, complete computer. I've either got hold of second hand PCs, or I've built my own desktop machine from scratch - I prefer it that way. That's obviously not feasible...
Advantages: Looks good, functions brilliantly, v.v.v.v.loud speakers :-) Disadvantages: Gets very very hot, poor cooling and air flow, bit dated technologically :-(
...I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me. The main reason I bought it was because a friend of mine had bought a new Acer computer and when we wanted to watch videos or listen to music the sound on it was like a whisper even at full volumn, the Ferrari however is really really loud!!!
For its age I think it is really good, it looks good and the keyboard and pad are easy and comfortable to use, but as the other reviewer said it does heat up a lot, and the fan is on full power most of the time, I am going to hopefully solve this problem by buying a cooling pad to fit underneath it with extra fans hopefully it will run a lot...

Review of AcerFerrari 3000LMi
Advantages: Good all round multimedia laptop Disadvantages: Bulky, low battery life.
...Acer is a major world leader in IT solutions and are now the third largest manufacturer of laptops worldwide. It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need.

...01.01.2001 update
This opinion was written immediately after Ferrari won the Championship in October 2000, and relates to the events and feelings that unfolded in Sepang during the winning moments.
----------------------------------------------------
Already a Triple World Champion after winning at Japan 2 weeks ago, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello finished 1st and 3rd at Malaysia today. This ensured that Ferrari won the constructors Championship well ahead of Mclaren.
The Mclaren’s got of too a good start but due to Mika’s stop/go penalty, Mika was not able to finish on the podium despite fighting his way through the field and came 4th. However, David Coulthard had an exciting race chasing race leader, Michael Schumacher during the last few laps of the race. After a close race, he was not able to...
