Advantages: Ultra thin construction, light weight Disadvantages: Sacrificed some features to its size
...configuration and some basic accessibility features.
Apple is a grandfather of laptop market, when they launched their super hit model MacBook Pro, rolled out market toward Apple.
The main reason behind hitting market by AppleMacBook was its configuration and superb graphics quality.
After the huge success of MacBook Pro Apple has decided to go for ultra thin laptop market, considering high profile market, and they have launched newly MacBookair, light weight an about 2cm thin laptop.
Here I will discuss on configuration, portability, handling, advantages and disadvantages of MacBookair.
Size and Weight
First of all this is the main feature of MacBookair so that I would like to mention its size and weight here.
The main aim of MacBookair was its ultra thin size so having this, it has about 2cm thick and weight is about 1...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Mac OSX operating system, running windows/linux/etc. if chosen, style, compact and stylish design Disadvantages: lack of optical drive (in some cases), costly - but value for money

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Small size, light weight, impressive speed, OS X Disadvantages: No expandability, 1 USB port, limited storage/memory
...run a lot cooler. No longer will consumers have to avoid touching the underside of their MacBookAirs for fear of being roasted alive! Though memory is still stuck at 2GB with no 4GB option in sight, the memory has swapped from DDR2 to DDR3 to consume less energy and produce less heat.
Also helping alleviate the heat production and adding a small measure to multitasking performance is 9300m graphics chipset which offloads a substantial portion of the H.264 encoding. The NVIDIA 9300m borrows 256MB of memory from the main system memory, but it is a solid performer in a category that is dominated by Intel?s underperforming integrated graphics.
Love it or hate, Apple?s OS X is at the heart and sole of every Mac including the MacBookAir. Those that just want the geek sheik of a svelte and trim aluminum body can always use Boot Camp...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Looks to Kill! Disadvantages: Next to nil value for money
...Let's get this straight...this will probably remain the "lightest" and "thinnest" notebook on earth for a while. But that's about all it has to boast of.
The MacbookAir features a tiny 80GB HDD - the same as the one found on iPods; and even if you add the optional 64GB SSD, it still lacks serious storage.
Also, the thinnest book in the world also sacrifices on other essentials such as an optical drive...and instead asks you to buy (and carry around at extra weight!) an external drive to play your DVDs.
It does feature some nifty features like the self-illuminating keyboard and all; but if you start weighing all its features against the hole to your wallet its going to make, you'd seriously need to decide if you need to spend that much for a notebook you can pull out of a manila envelop and impress everyone.
After all, looks aren...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Uber-light, ridiculously thin, very very cool indeed Disadvantages: Lack of USB ports, expensive, barely average hard drive
...So you are thinking about a MacBookAir? At over $1700/£1200 even for the entry level it's not an impulse buy, so it is good to think through the pros and cons of this machine to decide if it is really right for you.
PROS:
1. THE LOOK: It's cool. Really, seriously cool. It's incredibly thin and light, so thin you could put it in an envelope and post it. There is no better machine to carry around if you want to impress your colleagues. At its thinnest it is only 0.16" thick.
2. THE HARDWARE: It comes with Core2Duo (a choice of 1.6 or 1.8Ghz) and 2GB RAM which is what most of us need, plus a good standard of video card and a 64GB solid state drive.
3. THE FEATURES: The MacBookAir comes with the built in wireless card you would expect, a built-in web cam and Bluetooth. A backlit keyboard and a brilliant big touch pad mean you...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: High quality, fast memory, good design, perfect durability. Disadvantages: None at all!
... About AppleMacBookAir
Firstly, I would like to recommend this product for eveyone who needs a really high quality notebook.
This one does not have incredible features but it works perfectly. It has 2GB of memory (RAM) and that's enough for working with documents, playing or even working with professional graphical programs. Most of new notebooks has more than 2GB of RAM but I can say that it is not a truth - the AppleMacBookAir works faster than other notebook of mine which has 4GB of RAM!
In my opinion, 120GB of HDD is enough for personal use. Personaly, I do not need more than 100GB for keeping all my programs, music and personal documents so I can say that 120GB is more than enough.
What I like the most about this Apple product is:
* The design (I like the color and shape)
* The quality...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Great look and design Disadvantages: No Disk drive
...The macbookair, is not the most pracitcal of laptops. Afterall, it doesnt even have a disc drive!
However, opinions can be of two styles, a visual style, or a practical style.
I for one prefer visual styles of practicality, but can definately see some key flaws in this product.
Let's start with the disadvantages:
NO CD DRIVE
The cd drive was removed from this laptop, simply to make the macbookair as thin as possibe. Apple chose "looks" over "personality" in this case. and i think they made a huge mistake. Most of the applications connecting computers with our daily lives, require cd roms. of course apple suggest that you buy an addition cd drive which plugs into one of the usb ports. but this is just a hassle, and seems uneccesary to start buying extra necessities for an already expensive product.
SECONDLY
The macbookair...

Review of AppleMacBookAir
Advantages: Great optical drive Disadvantages: Only for macbook air
...GENERAL INFORMATION
First of all it is only compatible with the AppleMacbookAir Notebook.
(This is because the USB ports that Apple have used are designed to put out more power than is normally possibly, this is why the Superdrive has no need for a power supply of its own).
When you buy this product this is what you get -
1) MacBookAir SuperDrive with attached USB cable
2) User's Guide
Doesnt seem like much but that is all you need, the absence of a power supply of its own means you dont have all those annoying cables.
Dimensions -
Size: 5.47 x 5.47 x 0.67 inches; 139 x 139 x 17 mm

Advantages: Small, well made, unix, Mac OSX Disadvantages: small screen, white key board can get dirty
...of the purchase price of the macbook. I have however heard of people even having three operating systems loaded and switching between them, but this really would impact disk space and I have never tried this myself.
Some free open-source software is also available for MAC OSX even without installing Linux, such as Gimp, the Linux photo-editing program (similar to Photoshop), because Linux and Unix are in fact virtually identical, but any software specifically for Apple from any source will generally be as expensive as the PC equivalent and probably available some time later, because there are fewer users of Apples (unless you run Windows on your macbook)
In terms of performance it is a fast machine, with Intel dual-core processors, which can be made ever faster by doubling or quadrupling the RAM (1 GB is standard) although buying extra memory...

Review of AppleMacBook
Advantages: Everything about it is excellent Disadvantages: None
...I have been a Windows user for as long as I can remember, but last year I started to read up about changing to a mac. Nearly every review said how good mac's are. I finally bought this macbook in November and have been amazed at its speed and reliability. The macbook has not once crashed, starts up and shuts down in seconds unlike my pc where I am still waiting 3 mins later.
I thought that changing from a pc to a mac would be difficult, as the layout and the way you do things is different. But the difference is definitely a positive, its simple and very easy to use. You can even get a version of office, so that you can still use the familiar word, excel etc.
I notice that some of the other reviews comment that the battery does not last very long, but I find that mine last for more than 4 hours. I think that is excellent.
If...
