Advantages: good allround
Disadvantages: none i can think of

...The great thing about dell laptops is that they all look so good. This ones no exception, and as dell are the leading company in desktops and laptops then you get the great laptop with the piece of mind that its going to be great and that if breaks you'll have great customer service too. The only bad thing about dell is that you cant really buy them in shops, sure you can pick some up at pc world but if you want to get the best deals then you have to go online. However buying online from dell is really easy and you sometimes get free things, like speakers, and you nearly always get a better deal than you would if you bought a laptop in a store. I love the way this laptop looks, it has a kind of cube design too it, but this makes it look cool, and not like a box which you would think it would. Its mainly a silver frame with a black...

Dell Inspiron 1300

Advantages: It works.
Disadvantages: very old, bulky, heavy, slow.

...Design The dell inspiron 1300 is a 15.4 inch notebook, from research this looks like it came out in 2005 however this was given to my sister a few years ago and now my notebook is being repaired I am forced to use this as a back up. The inspiron is made of a sturdy thick plastic unlike other laptops that are made with aluminium and plastic. The lid is very thick measuring almost an inch thick which compared to today's standards this is extremely unnecessary and hideous. The base of the laptop measures just over an inch thick so as you can imagine this is not very light weight. The screen itself measures approximately 13 inches and I'm not sure if it is LCD or not. The keyboard itself it located in the centre of the laptop below that in the middle in the touch pad and the mouse left and right keys. This laptop is a dark silver...

Review of Dell Inspiron 1300

Inspiring Inspiron from Dell

Advantages: Good spec, reasonable price, great processor
Disadvantages: The piano black surface attracts dust and dirt.

...I purchased the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop back in January for my daughter's birthday. I had a limited budget but wanted to get her something with decent enough spec for playing computer games should she wish to do this, and a large hard drive as she is a big fan of making videos on her digital camera and downloading music - two things which can eat up hard drive space. I did a fair bit of research before purchasing and decided I wanted to get the best spec I possibly could for my money and the Inspiron ticked all the boxes. I paid £399 in January 2009 in Currys for the laptop which was the absolute limit on my budget. The Dell I purchased has a dark blue coloured lid, however the rest of it is a shiny piano black which looks lovely. I would have preferred metal for the mousepad area - it feels sturdier and doesn't seem to attract...
