An amazing laptop from Dell.

Advantages: Beautiful, Fast, Sturdy, Good graphics.
Disadvantages: Heavier than some.

...In the past i've never gone for a high end laptop but the £700 I spent was well worth the money. I had reservations about buying from Dell because I have personal experience of bad build quality from one of their earlier portable laptops, the C400. But I am more than happy with the sturdy feel of the XPS m1330. I ordered from Dell online and received my laptop within 7 days. It came in an XPS branded box. Inside was the laptop inside a slip case and the relevant accessories; power cable, earphones, manual in a leather wallet, screen cleaning cloth and all the relevant driver CD's. The fist thing you notice is the beauty of the laptop. Its matt black and silver aluminium finish makes it stand out as anything but a standard laptop. Review of Dell XPS M1330

Dell does it with Adamo XPS

Advantages: Mostly
Disadvantages: Price

...DELL ADAMO XPS What can one say? An engineering marvel? Absolutely impossibly thin? Yes it is, the Dell Adamo XPS is better than ?size zero? which will even make Jane Fonda blink. It?s 9.9mm thin, skinnier than VAIOs, the Macs and the HP Envys. You must get over some shock initially which might lead one to ask ?Where did the other things go, my dear?? Never mind everything is there at the right place in the look alike but even slimmer CD jewel case. DESIGN: All credit goes to Dell for designing this wonderful though very expensive machine. I really don?t regret my adverse comments in my last Dell review. I believe every product has to be weighed with proper perspectives and I am very happy to have access to such an amazing note book as Dell Adamo XPS. The price is astronomical but it is really special and deserves the price...

Review of Dell Adamo XPS

Dell XPS M1530 laptop

Advantages: Great feature set, fast, GFX card, HDMI out
Disadvantages: keyboard/touchpad could be better

...I recently had a motherboard failure on my existing Dell Inspiron laptop and given its age, repair looked a bad move as one could buy a new laptop for less. However, once I decided to see what was available and given my two main criteria - a higher than usual resolution screen and three year warranty, I suddenly found the price spiraling upwards. After much searching I settled on an XPS M1530. The price on the Dell web site was around £1000 but a phone call to Dell resulted in quite a dramatic price cut to reflect my 'loyalty as a customer' and that it was a replacement for a failed (nearly four year old) unit. They probably won't thank me for saying what I paid but it was a done deal and a few days later it arrived.
