So I turned off the Laptop to wait for the disks which, still have not arrived 1 week later. When I decided to turn the Laptop on again it came up with a message saying Disk Error, press any key to continue, I pressed any key and the same message was repeated several times but the Laptop would not start.
I again phoned Fujitsu/Siemens and was told that it was to be returned to Comet for refund or replacement, but that they had to have a copy of the reciept from the manager at comet to send the code needed for this to hAppen. So I had to phone Comet to get this done, this was completed the same day( Thur), but no number was sent to Comet until the following Mon, this was when I finally decided to ask for a refund.
I have not been able to asses how good this Laptop was, but can say honestly...

iv had better, yet it is quite good laptop.
Advantages: not bad laptop
Disadvantages: gaming
...I recently bought this Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 from ebuyer for £300 including vat. I had been looking around previously for a new laptop, but nothing too expensive, as I just need a cheap simple one to use until I can purchase a better one.
After looking around for a few weeks I came across this one on this site, I looked around for the same laptop and because I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else, I bought this one from them.
It took just over 3 weeks to arrive and it arrived safely and In fully working order.
The design of this laptop is ok, like I say this isn't anything special but it's a great laptop if you want great value for money. It looks quite business like, meaning it's a bit basic, however it wouldn't look out of place in a teenagers bed room either.
Its really portable too, it only has a 15...

A Great Value for Money Laptop
Advantages: Quick and easy to set up, eeasy to use
Disadvantages: Lack of software
...and sales pitches we decided to opt for the Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 from Staples at £299.99.
I will give you the following technical information, which may be useful to someone but I personally really don't understand at all. I'd prefer to spend more time telling you about the actual performance of the laptop.

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO L 3220T
Advantages: Good quality, reasonable price

...I purchased this after a recommendation from a friend, and I was quite impressed with
it, it certainly lives up to it’s sales pitch.
Look
You can’t go wrong with sleek, black and stylish (unless you’re in a Monty Python movie), and the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO L 3220t (why can’t things like this just be called Fred or something?) pulls this look off really well. It fits with almost any computer hardware set. It is of a reasonable size and is not too bulky (4 kg) but doesn’t have you squinting to see the screen (22 in).
Function
It provides a smooth, clear visual output and was very easy to set up, the integrated speakers provided a reasonable volume and clear sound, it does everything you would expect of a monitor well, but unfortunately all my efforts to teach it dog tricks have failed miserably.

This is the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528. It is a laptop designed for entertainment purposes whilst still being very cheap in price.
Fujitsu Siemens are well known for their cheap laptops, and are also quite well known for making basic laptops and therefore don?t really have the best reputation in the market.
However that is all changing now, instead of sticking to the mold of cheap basic laptops, there branching out and are starting to make ultra portable laptops that compete with sonys, and dells whilst being a lot cheaper too. They are now also making entertainment laptops with great specifications and features that come in at just a fraction of the price of some of its competitors and the AMILO Xi 2528 is one of these.

basic cheap laptop

...This is a review on the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 laptop. There are a lot of good things, great things even about this laptop though I must admit there are things when using it, you just feel could have been improved or upgraded to make the laptop better and less annoying in a way.
The most annoying thing I must mention when I was using this laptop was the fan noise. The noise its self isn’t really loud, however it seems to come on at random moments when your using the laptop, and it doesn’t even seem to be when running demanding programs, so this is something that really annoyed me about this laptop.
This really is a good home laptops though, that is what its been designed for and it what it should be used for. There are quite a few problems if you were wanting to use this as a portable laptop to take on journeys...

Get your greasy mitts off my machine
Advantages: Cheap, reasonable sized storage.
Disadvantages: Badly designed port placement, casing shows every mark
...and Thunderbird and then wondered why they won't connect, but I guess its something that you eventuall get used to.
There are things that might irritate other people, I have read on other reviews about the fan noise. This could be off putting to many people, however as I had a Fujitsu Siemens PA1510 before this I was quite used to the fan noise. And to be perfectly honest this one barely makes any noise at all compared to the old one. But it might be something to bear in mind if you are looking at this machine.
Overall, apart from the minor annoyances mentioned above, it seems likes a very decent machine. I would have preferred a little more RAM because 1024MB is pretty much the minimum spec for running Vista (I'm lucky because I will be able to transfer a stick from my old laptop when I get round to it). But it still runs smoothly even...

Some hidden benefits, some annoying drawbacks
Advantages: Good for the price
Disadvantages: Can't install Ubuntu without hacking around
...the Fujitsu Siemens engineers thinking?
* When the fan does switch on, it's noisy -- like a gust of wind blowing around the house, although the noise only lasts a few seconds before settling down to a bareful perceptible whirr
* No Windows/driver disks provided; in fact, NOTHING is provided apart from the notebook, power-supply, a few flimsy manuals and the box! You are supposed to burn your own "restore" DVDs using blank disks, or buy them for an additional fee from Fujistu-Siemens!
* 1GB of memory isn't enough although I added in a very cheap half GB upgrade (making total 1.5GB) and it made a huge difference
* Decent keyboard but it feels a little spongey and bouncy; likewise, the mouse buttons are very "clicky" and noisy
* Vista "Basic" provided but, actually, it's perfectly acceptible for virtually all tasks, and DVD playback software is...
