...I bought this product second hand, and found it to be very satisfactory. The laptop had lasted very well, and was in excellent condition (i.e. the build quality was good). It is a very stable machine as well, and the hardware support from HP is excellent. My only gripe with this laptop is the connection for the external CD drive, which has a flimsy cover over its port. The double mouse is very good and the screen is excellent quality. I would definitely buy one of these again if not another HP laptop.... Read review

...). The majority of problems that arise with 700's is that they are, or were 4/5 months ago, prone to overheating and crashing, however this is also covered under the warranty. In fact the majority of faults, excluding accidental damage, are covered by the warranty. Whats the warranty cover like? Well the manufacturers warranty is for 1 year from date of purchase, and covers mechanical defects, it does NOT cover accidental damage. The repairs are carried out by the ONLY authorised Compaq laptop repairer in the UK (so ignore PC World when they are authorised to repair Compaq laptops) and is on a pick up and return basis. That is Compaq will collect the laptop from you and return it to you free of charge, in the majority of cases the turnaround for repairs of laptops is 7 business days. ...As with all HP products you can expect great quality and crisp grey scale images. The benefit of using Original HP inkjet print cartridges is that they offer consistent print quality and reliable performance.With the HP 350 you can expect "archival-quality documents that resist fading for decades" thanks to HP Vivera Ink. Although HP print cartridges are coming down in price you can still expect to pay a lot more than other substitute brands. The real question is whether the extra money is worth it. With some of the alternative products on the market today I am inclined to believe you can the same quality for less money. Many alternative ink cartridges contain more ink than official HP cartridges, however the problem with these cartridges is not always being sure of the quality of the product you are buying, nor the reliabilty... ...that the lid slams shut to secure closing. HP includes 3 USB ports, including an ExpressCard slot and a 5-in-1 card reader. A remote control is included to allow controlling of power, volume, DVD controls etc allowing you to watch a movie in bed and turn the machine off without getting up. This is a useful feature. Performance from the Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 with 1GB of RAM is satisfactory, but struggles with Vista\'s aero interface. The laptop is a compact size, comparible with all 15.4" models meaning its easily transportable. I paid £699.99 for this product and all in all I am pleased with the Notebook. ...Although the 1100 has all the usual HP features and print quality, it really falls down on it's paper handling capabilities. Having purchased a dozen or so of these printers we found within a very short space of time that the printer was feeding several pages at once and consequently jamming. We tried all the usual methods to stop this such as changing the paper supplier and ensuring the paper was separated before loading. After having spoken to HP they sent out a small rubber coated part which made no difference whatsoever. As this fault occurs on all our 1100's I assume HP know of this fault but are ignoring it.... ...I Currently own This laptop. Not Knowing much About Computers And thinking what am i missing out on with something basic? i upgraded to this HP Dv9000 laptop which have treated me tremendously. as i am a teenager at 16 years of age, i do like to have many stuff on my PC which i have 4000 songs a about 30 odd movies. files do not even get near to effecting the performance and reliability of this laptop. having great performance and onboard graphics which i can play games hassle/jump free. this is a comfortable laptop to have around you. either on messenger and typing, its hassle free and a dream. strong, reliable and fast laptop which is a fantastic laptop in my eyes. what more would you need? thanks lee... ...I bought a HP Compaq Buisness Notebook 6720 (GR647EA) from a HP partner two months ago. He gave me the Laptop without the recovery discs. I found it strange because the laptops I had used came with discs. I requested for them and he informed me that it has inbuilt back up and recovery. For two reasons - wrong configuration of keyboard and download of an update incompatible with microsoft office - I had to perform full system recovery twice. Each time the full factory image/settings was recovered and I did not miss a thing. This thrilled me because the last laptop (a different brand) I used, the full factory image/settings was not recovered when I had to format it. It came with a trial version of microsoft office 2007 (I did not need to buy MS office for a while), a sixty subscription of Norton Virus and windows vista which can... Read review
