Another slight concern exists in that the build quality really isn't first rate, even for the price. If you are travelling with it alot you must purchase a quality padded case and be careful with it. I have chipped the right hand lower lip after a small drop (you will drop it too, trust me!).
All things considered, HP as a company make competitively priced laptops and this is no exception. It (just) delivers what it says on the box and with budget buying you can't argue with that. But please consider whether or not you really will only require basic functions before purchasing this as many of us...

...Well, where do I start. I can talk all day about this laptop, both about the critisism and strong points. But to avoid your boredom I wish to cut it short.
Firstly, The looks is more than attractive. Its light, its stylish and its slim. What more do you want from a laptop which is already lighther than your average computer. The silver cleverly matches with the black and you wont be unimpressed with the keyboard buttons either.
However, I wasnt too happy by the positioning of the keyboard. It appears to hurt your wrists because there is no resting place for it. Unless of course you dont mind typing all day without comfort.
As for the functions, it isnt the fastest latop ever but yet it works well if you dont jam it with a lot of files. Use it to a limit, is what I'd say. It is defintely medium speed so its not the slowest...

Another great thing about this is the sheer size of the storage space inside. The Eee PC hardly had any on the basic model and so carrying about a spare memory stick was pretty much essential. This Hp Business Compaq will certainly not require any more space though as its got a impressive 160 gb already built in. The small size of the notebook isn’t sacrificing speeds either as it will still reach 5400 rpm, the average of the normal sized laptops too.
The screen size isn’t that small either, so its not limiting your workability. It offers a 14.1 TFT display and is a good quality screen with a good 1280 x 800 resolution.

DESIGN and BUILD QUALITY
This Laptop is a no frills business machine. HP forget super stylish and instead have made a functional laptop that is durable.
The Laptop is extremely robust and built well out of thick plastics. The keyboard is sound and the laptop is designed to fit nicely on the lap.
Another great thing about this laptop is how cool it stays. Your wont be radiating your genitals to much with this machine.

This laptop has a screen designed for business. The test machine had BrightView installed and is great the picture is so sharp...

We all know what they do, so what makes this one special.
Well first let me quickly run through the specs so that you know what we're dealing with here.
It weighs in at just under 3kg which is not bad at all for a laptop/notebook. Mind you HP call it a notebook which I would disagree with. There are Sony VIAO's out there that are real notebooks. This baby however is bigger than what I could consider to be a notebook so I'm going to refer to it as a laptop.
I do a fair amount of travel on business and this machine is just about right for long distance travel to far away countries. The last thing you want is to lug around a fat heavy laptop along with your luggage at airports.
