My first Hybrid car

Advantages: No congestion charge and £15 road tax
Disadvantages: The battery drains out if you do night and city driving

...After deciding for a more environmental car the choice was between the Prius and the Civic. Some years ago I had a Civic Aerodek estate which was a dream car, never had any problem with it and the services where half price comparing to my Fiat Uno 1.1. The choice of the Civic is due solely to being better looking than the Prius. The Civic is a bit less spacious then the Toyota in the boot but has the advantage of the Saloon format. I have being driving the car for around 15 000 miles and the consumption has being around the 38 to 40mpg. This with a mixture of urban, country and motorway being the motorway where I can get the most economic performance (around 45 to 50 mpg) and even at speeds over 80mph. It seems that some speeds are more economic then others, as example, travelling at 65 mph gets worst results then 70 mph or above, this...

...been a fan of Shaun Hutson from his very early books like slugs and Spawn and I thought I had read all that he had to offer. Imagine my delight therefore when I discovered Hybrid lurking on the pages of Amazon.co.uk and the realisation that I had not actually read it. Hybrid is a very clever piece of writing from Hutson in that it contains a story within a story, I sometimes forgot I was reading about a struggling author so engrossing was the story about Sean Doyle and his Counter Terrorist work, I actually found myself caring far more for Doyle?s character than for that of Christopher Ward. The first two thirds of the book are largely taken up with the story within the story but then as the manuscript is finished it switches to the author and his struggles to find out how and why the story was being written. Advantages: timeless songs and endless entertianment for evey occasion
Disadvantages: the cover is a big confusing but that would be the only downfall of the product

...Linkin Park has been a favourite band of mine for years now and this was the third CD of theirs that I bought, this amazing CD came out in 2000, a new millennium, a new CD for Linkin Park. Compared to all their other CD?s I have to say that ?Hybrid Theory? is my favourite, the combination of Linkin park songs that most of which have become metal legends, is outstanding. The song that stands out most to me is, of course, Runaway. This song illustrates the injustice of the world in a truly original way. This song exercises the never ending question of ?why?? and ?how?? the first track on this CD is ?Paper cut? also a truly original track. The beginning starts of all mysterious and creepy then the tempo picks up for a few seconds. This is repeated several times throughout the track. The overall effect is astounding and foreboding...

First Toyota, First Japanese Car, First Hybrid

Advantages: Great fuel economy, low CO2, roomy, reliable, loaded
Disadvantages: Driver legroom bit tight, noisy uphill at speed

...We've had our T-Spirit (fully loaded version) for 8 months. It's our first Japanese car (previously usually german ones for us) and our first Toyota- of course, it's also our first hybrid. It is lovely to drive, light steering, roomy and generally comfortable and quiet. It pulls well in town, and on the open road is responsive and civilised, though no racer. It's a bit noisy when pulling uphill at speed (eg with cruise control keeping up to 130kph on autoroutes through the Pyrenees). We have been to Madrid and back with no problems- aircon vital, satnav took us to obscure parts of Spanish towns with good accuracy (barring the occasional new roundabout). We generally drive in suburbs but taking motorway trips and continental cruising together with normal use the average mpg has been pretty much 50mpg whatever you do or however you...

...Hello everyone! This is my first ever review on Ciao! As everybody seems to doing it at school I thought that I had better join in! As I'm new to this I would appreciate comments advising me on how to improve or add things to my opinions. Anyway, on with the review: Linkin Park - Hybrid theory is one of the best albums of the year in my opinion. Now I'm not a great listener of this particular type of music, but I decided to try this album based on the single Crawling by the same artist. There is a mixture of softer to heavy tracks which makes them all different, this is refreshing and makes it easier to listen to. The album is only 37 minutes long split into 12 tracks. It clips onto a base which is attached to your car, This makes it easy to get the car seat in and out of the car without waking up the baby. ...Initially I was very dubious on the whole new revolution that is a hybrid club, despite friends telling me how good they are. Put simply a hybrid is a new type of club that is part-driver, part-iron and looks exactly like you'd imagine, the face is like an iron but the back of the club is a similar shape to a driver. I'd always thought of these clubs as a gimmicky-satellite tv shopping channel waste of money….. until I tried one. I had decided to change my irons so took a trip down to a local golf shop/driving range to try out the Callaway X-20's. After I'd hit a few shots with a Callaway X-20 7-iron I went back and spoke to the club pro about the problem I was facing. Advantages: Loud, Melodic, Worth The Money
Disadvantages: Too Short

.... Standout tracks would have to be the singles..... One Step Closer, Crawling, Papercut & In The End, four fantastic tracks that highlight everything that Linkin Park are about. One Step Closer the debut single is a brooding rock monster that incorporates both Shinoda and Bennington to great effect. In The End is without doubt their greatest song so far ... a ballad/rock tune that would warm the coldest soul with it's beautiful lyrics and hard driven chorus. Pushing Me Away is my favourite of the non-released tracks, sending a clear message of being kept out of the loop, being left out and not being told things by someone close to you. There is no question that the band has become repetitive since the release of 'Meteora' (a record that I believe pales in comparison to Hybrid Theory) and that the critics are justified on some fronts.
