They were placed in front of laptop what is not so handsome. After few hours of initial testing i revealed a small bug - it is impossible to change the backlight intensity for the display. Undoubtedly the best laptops on the market

Advantages: Built-in 3G (optional); keyboard light; build quality, excellent software
Disadvantages: A little heavy due to build quality; some will find them ugly

...I've owned Lenovo/IBM laptops now for about 5 years - starting with a T20 and moving up through the lines to a T61 type 6464 I work in IT and have done a lot of contract and consulting work which means I get exposure to a broad range of different laptops. My friends who also work in IT also have a variety of different laptops. I can honestly say that I have never been jealous of anyone else's laptop (except for one friend who has the X61 Tablet) in a very very long time - these machines are really great! In this day and age there is very little to distinguish one manufacturer from another for the most part - it used to be a lot easier; a few years ago and you could look at the spec sheets of two laptops and you would immediately know which was the better machine. Now as battery life; CPU speed, RAM and HDD space and monitor sizes...

Lenovo

Advantages: Built in webcam. fingerprint recognition that works, good customer support.
Disadvantages: Slightly sluggish compared to some higher end machines.

...I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 and use it daily for personal use. I also use a Dell Latitude D620 for work, but I will try not to compare them too much to each other in this review. I acquired the Lenovo after my previous Laptop (a Medion) died and couldn't be resurrected by the Insurance company - so I didn't actually go out and buy this one specifically. In actual fact, it is much better than my Medion, although this may be due to the passage of time and better technology. Technical Bits: The laptop has a Core Duo processor (I think mine is 1.7Ghz not 1.83 as listed in the header). It has 512MB RAM, a DVD writer, fingerprint recognition and a nifty web cam in the lid. Lenovo Z61m

Advantages: Good for media work, WideScreen quality Graphics.
Disadvantages: Lenovo suck... totally.... This computer can only be used in air-conditioning.

I find when not in my lap I have to "stand on its side" to allow the heat to radiate properly as it cannot be left on normal everyday surfaces in its normal position unless in air-conditioning, where it works quite well. The microphone is very very poor .. veering on defective and recordings made are abysmal even when a good quality mike is plugged in. The batteries on this range of computers were largely faulty however only a number were subject to a recall. I acquired my z61m from a batch-buy of these machines along with other colleagues. Amongst all of us only two have original batteries which are still operational. The Lenovo site's recall service is based on the serial number of the batteries. Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: volume not very loud

...I've had my laptop since december 07 and love it, id be lost without it now. It does everything I want it to, its fast and very reailble, comes with wireless, finger reader so no typing in your passed word and many more features, won't pretend I know alot about computers but this has been above my expectations for the money and would definately recommend it, the only one disappointing thing was the volume its not very loud on full but you can buy speakers and it hasn't really been a problem. Also don't be put off my the name Lenovo I nearly was as Id never heard of them before, but Lenovo took over from IBM computers. honestly the price is great for what you get and its so easy to use. Don't be put off by Vista either I've had no trouble at all....

The Lenovo X60 6364 The Good and the Bad

Advantages: Durable, Powerful, Good Tablet, Amazing battery life, Never overheats, quiet, expansion capabilities, small lightweight,

...up your mouse, and move it back to the middle. I don't know if you are able to upgrade it, like get a better processor or add more ram or get a larger or faster hard drive, but i'm sure you can. As I recall reading somewhere that the ram is upgradeable. So I would say this is a great laptop, except from the price, this is a pricey laptop, so I would advise to look around for different deals for this laptop, as I have seen there are more than one. There are variants of the Lenovo X60 Tablet, so have a look at some of those, even though they may vary slightly, but not much, in specifications. This review could in some ways help you decide, if you want to buy a different Lenovo X60, a different model than this one, as I believe allot of things are the same, mainly only varying in the hard disk drive size and processor type. Lenovo 3000 N200 - well worth it

Advantages: Dual Core Processor, Fingerprint sensor
Disadvantages: Weight, size

...I bought this laptop about 4 months ago, and it was so worth it! It may be bigger than some laptops but feels a lot more substantial. So far Vista has not caused any problems - fingers crossed - however I have not installed many new programs so have not had to search for patches. The lenovo maintenance and security options have proved useful. Bit slow to start up, but that could be due to the fact that i havnt taken as much care with it as it should. Also, the battery life is not the best, but the use of power saver option improves this greatly in my opinion. Dual core processor has made this a lot quicker than my old laptop. Overall I have found this a very worthwhile purchase....

A True Mobile Workstation Notebook

Advantages: Subtle Design, Performance, Display Quality & Graphics Power
Disadvantages: Design may not suit everyone's taste

...and settings and still able to play the more demanding Supreme Commander. The resolution is something you either love or hate, set native at 1920x1200 on a 15.4" screen it can either be an eyesore or a god send (thankfully for me it's the latter). Howvever the screens scales really well and you can drop down to the more easier to use wide screen resolutions without any loss of quality. I specced my laptop up with 4gb memory, a 200GB Sata Drive, DVD RW Writer, Intel Wireless/Bluetooth Add-On, 1GB Intel Turbo Memory and the Intel T7800 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo cpu which is blisteringly fast at everything I throw at it. The design as I mentioned is not to everyone's taste but I love it, understated in the black chassis it speaks volumes i.e it's designed to work hard, not just look good sitting on your dining table....

Advantages: easy to use, long battery life
Disadvantages: no mouse touchpad, slow due to security software

...found harddrive space no problem at all- I store music and work and photos on it, but very few and short videos, and haven't installed many games. The 512Mb RAM is possibly a little low- Lenovo automatically install software that regularly reminds you to back up your hard drive and defragment, etc- which is good, as it means you are more likely to do so, which is good for your machine, however bad as it obviously slows down the machine further. At startup, therefore, the machine is rather slow, however speeds up once everything has registered and the computer has sorted itself out. Another useful thing with this laptop is a little light that you can switch on so that you can see your keyboard in the dark, if that is something you would need. As with all laptops, this one has it's own allocation of function keys on the keyboard...
