...The Nokia N-gage was the first Nokia mobile phone, in fact any make of mobile phone to incorporate the usual bits and bobs of a mobile, with a hand held games console, and well they have done it well for a first try. N-Gage Mr Warf.

Advantages: Games, Music, Videos, Entire Entertainment System

N-gage what a bargain

...I have a had a nokia n-gage for about a year and the amount of things you can do on the phone are amazing. Advantages The best feature on the phone in my opinion is the games. The games are very easy to get in to and are very simular to playing a playstation 1 game. The phone also has an Mp3 player which is easy to use and the amount of songs you can hold on your phone depends on the memory card you have. I have a 256 MMC (Multimedia Memory Card) and it holds about 70 Mp3s. It also has a FM radio which picks up most of the main stations quite well. The phone is well built like most nokia phones and it is possible to purchase new covers of ebay for about £5. For real hardcore N-gage users it is possible to download programs for the phone which give it extra features like different Mp3 players on the phone that play different...

The Nokia N-Gage still beats its smaller rival.

Advantages: Triband phone (meaning it works anywhere in the world), mp3 player also functions as 'data transfer' like a floppy disk, but bigger, personal organiser, internet, email, FM radio, you can plug it into your PC...
Disadvantages: The battery life isn't incredibly long, the games are expensive, the handsfree headset is pretty breakable (but £20 to replace), it's a little clumsy.

...Although the N Gage QD is now out, I'd still recommend you buy the old style phone. The original is cheaper; and the new one doesn't include all the above features. You can set this one up for internet access with one simple phone call, and check your email, blackberry style. If you're after lots of gadgets for a (comparitively) low price, definitely go for this one. The FM radio is great; you can preset up to 20 channels and even record from the radio if you buy a memory card, or you can load MP3s on to it and listen to them. Something else I've discovered: any item of computer data can be stored on the memory card and transferred between PCs this way without needing to burn a CD. You can play Sonc the Hedgehog, The Sims, and anything you can think of in between - the game range is widening all the time, even if they're not going down...

Nokia's best-kept secret

Advantages: Feature-packed, great value, and a definite GBA beater.

N-gage QD

Advantages: Plays games, very good battery life
Disadvantages: Does not play mp3s, does not have a camera

...Where to start, i got this phone and I just couldn't wait to get back home and connect it up to the computer, open the box... ermm wheres the usb cable and if i get one where does it go? Turns out you can't connect this directly to your computer you need to get an MMC card (using a 512Mb Kingston card no problems) and put things on there and then put that into the phone, ok so I do that, I then fill it with MP3's and slot it into the phone... the hot plug feature on this phone is excellent, unlike the old N-Gage there is no need to take the phone apart to change game/MMC card... i turn it on, look for an mp3, there isn't one, so basically if you want this phone for anything other than playing games, with enough looking around you can get a 3rd party player for free, i recommend OggPlay and if you have RealOne player then get the helix...

...The new n-gage is good but the old one is still much better. More for free. Because it has a firewire you can get pictures, music ect for free, plus the screen is massive. Can also download games onto your computer for free instead of buying the £20 games. the n gage is pretty easy to use, when i first got this phone i hadnt used an n gage before and i found the menu pretty simple, and the navigation was easy aswell. this phonew comes with bluetooth and this is also easy to use, and is also fast, for those whod ont know what bluetooth is, it is a way of sending pictures, sounds, and messages for free within around a 10m radious. the phone also comes with a help option with every feature on the phone and this comes in really ahndy as if there are some things you are usnure about you can salways just use this. one of the let...

Get N-Gaged

Advantages: Stylish, feture packed device thats solid and reliable. Great games, great tools.
Disadvantages: Odd angle when talking on the phone, although comfortable.

It has an MP3 player, a radio, RealOne media player, plus all the great tools you expect from the Symbian mobile operating systems. ...When i first saw the Nokia N-Gage advertised on TV i was truly mesmerised and i was instantly intrigued about playing popular games titles on a mobile phone!! So because of my compulsive buying nature i went and bought a Sim free model, costing £230 - which could have been spent so much more wiser! At first i was addicted to it, the games play in comparison to the first Playstation, which really is quite an achievement in a handset this small! All the features were in it, polyphonic ringtones, large screen, games etc. but then after a while of living with it you really start to regret your purchase, even though i have to admit they are quite cheap now! ...This is my old mobile phone that I no longer use as I have upgraded to a Sharp GX30i. I thought that this phone would be worthy of having a review about it mainly because of the weird shape and design, not only that it was one of the first nokias to have a built in MP3 player ***Looks*** This phone looks just like a nokia N-Gage, rather large in comparison to other phones that were available at the time. It is rectangular with curved of edges that help it to fit snuggly in ones handThe screen is large 3.5 cm square surrounded by a tribal looking pattern (that incidently glows in the dark). This has all the usual buttons that you would expect to find on a phone, like the numeric (0-9) keys, answer and hang up. But has a few more to other like a direction pad that doubles up as the controls for the MP3 player and a record button...
