Cracking ultra-portable laptop for under a grand

Advantages: Fast, great spec, looks good, light
Disadvantages: None so far (only had it a week though)

...there I think this one is great value for money because of what you get for the price. It is the first core 2 duo I have had and I am so impressed with the speed and ease with which it flips from programme to programme - even just keeping loads of tabs open is a piece of cake - and Windows Vista is good at that. Still getting to grips with Vista, but that's another review... Battery life is BRILLIANT - I've had almost 5 hours out it ! I know it's new but that's impressive. It is the second Samsung I've had and I love the layout of the keyboard etc - so much better than Dell, which are a bit functional (though good value for money). It's quite small which makes it light and easy to port about, and the screen is big enough, though obviously if you want a bigger screen there are loads out there larger. I expect the smallish screen...

Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. ...Samsung Q45 More and more people are wanting ultra portable laptops these days, and of course they do, after all that's what laptops were made for, if laptops were made you sitting in the same place at home or work all the time then you could simply just get a desktop computer. However the only problem with making smaller laptops is that it usually limit's the amount of ram and hard drive, and even the processor you get with it, and all this limitation comes at a higher price than it would be for a faster, but bigger laptop. Which doesn't seem fair at all, however I do suppose it takes a lot of work cramming a huge normal sized laptop into a tiny thing like this. Something thought to be impossible back in the old days when the huge desktops were only around. Most ultra portable laptops do come at a price, for example the new sony...

...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move. Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

Advantages: Innovative, fun to use

...I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month. The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for. I previously had a Sony Ericsson phone which I was very disappointed with so I quickly changed it for the Samsung Tocco as testing have previously owned Samsung phones & have been extremely pleased with them as i am with this. ...At first a little apprehensive, after always having Samsung products i wondered if it would live up to it's rivals! It does! The F480 (Or Tocco as commonly known) is an excellent example in it's class. The camera at first glance is a little dissapointing but with a the correct settings and when pictures uploaded onto your computer, the quality really shines through.
