Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...After my white Asus Eee PC 1000H got stolen, I decided to replace it with a black Samsung NC10. The Asus and this Samsung are what is known as a netbook. It?s sort of a small, low cost laptop to let you surf the net, while you?re out and about. I bought it off Dixons.co.uk for £322 in December 2009 (had a 5% off coupon) but it?s going for around £310 at the moment in most places. CHOICES The NC10 is Samsung's first stab at the netbook market and they?ve done a blinding job of it. I believe it even won an award for it. The NC10 comes in three flavours, those being black, blue and white. I chose the black as it looks prettier. The white one also looks great but I figured that it would start to pick up dirt and go a bit black, especially the keyboard and touchpad. The white version has a matte lid so doesn't pick up...

Samsung NC10 Review

Advantages: Good battery life, nice screen, near enough a full size keyboard
Disadvantages: small-ish trackpad

...I recieved this netbook for christmas and all i can say is 'wow'! My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Therefore i was a little dubious about some of the things such as keyboard size, processing power and battery life. I was looking for a laptop which is very small in physical size while packing a punch so it could still carry out multiple tasks. Buying a full size (15.4") laptop seemed a bit pointlesss as i have two tower pc's which are my main machines, so this was just to be about casual surfing/ reading emails/ browsing while on the move. Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap
Disadvantages: sound, no ssd option, still can't beat the aspire one

...With the netbook market already saturated to the point of that resembling a cat's fur when thrown into a bath (with almost as much fur flying between the competitors), it would seem that we don't need yet another standard netbook joining the ranks. However the samsung NC10 has proven to be a great addition to the market, and managed to undercut nearly all of their major competitors, even if it can't beat the acer aspire one. Samsung F480

Advantages: Innovative, fun to use

...I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month. The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for. ...This is by far the best phone I have ever had. I previously had a Sony Ericsson phone which I was very disappointed with so I quickly changed it for the Samsung Tocco as testing have previously owned Samsung phones & have been extremely pleased with them as i am with this. The first thing that stood out to me about this phone was the size of the screen which compared to other phones I have had is huge! It is also a very slim phone which for me adds to the appeal. When I first bought this phone back in June I couldn't wait to get home & try it out & I wasn't disappointed! ...At first a little apprehensive, after always having Samsung products i wondered if it would live up to it's rivals! It does! The F480 (Or Tocco as commonly known) is an excellent example in it's class. The camera at first glance is a little dissapointing but with a the correct settings and when pictures uploaded onto your computer, the quality really shines through. Simple, easy to use functions and the ultra responsive touch screen are an asset to this mobile phone. The widget feature is brilliant, although a little too responsive and sometimes frustrating! Basic menu functions include, text messages, phone book, my files, applications, music player etc and more! ...Having only ever owned a Samsung phone throughout the many phones I have owned in my life, I decided to carry on the tradition by buying the Samsung G600. It has served me well and has a number of really good features. One of the best little features I found with this phone was that there are a number of nice backgrounds preloaded onto the phone that can be changed in the settings menu. I currently have the puma background that shows up in the main menu behind all the features on the phone like messages. I also like the espresso theme but I find the puma background the nicest. Between the phones memory and the sim card, 1000 contacts can be stored in your phonebook, and 200 messages in total can be stored in the text message folder. To be honest I really dislike the fact that you can only store 200 messages, as I will never fill up...

Advantages: Easy to hold, Sylish and proffesional looking, has all the modern technology, very robust

...This has to be one of the favourite phones i have owned, and i have owned rather a lot! Samsung as many people are aware are good quality brand, so it wouldnt really suprise many people that i completly rate this phone. It looks pleasent, if not verging on brick size. But for a female who uses her phone a lot a brick size phone is acceptable, after all you are always having to fish around in your bag (which are usually stuffed with other more important things) to find it when it rings. It feels nice, not to heavy and not to small that you cant ge a decent grip of it.The buttons are very nicely spaced out and everything about the feel is exellent. It comes in a range of colours, so whatever your style there is bound to be a colour for you. I know many people with this phone and i have seen it in many colours and all still look stylish...
