...My dad was looking for a new laptop as he had just changed his job and his old laptop was a company laptop. The old laptop was a Dell so at first he looked at Dell laptops as he hadn't had any problems with his old laptop and thought it would be a good idea to stick with them because he trusted their name. He then saw an article in one of his pc magazines on Sony VAIO laptops. He looked into this further, liked the specs of the laptops and their prices for what you get and decided that was the type of laptop he wanted to get. VAIO Sony's range of laptops goes under the name of VAIO. There are 8 different series of laptops each with their own specialities as such. ...Hi, i bought this laptop in the summer, and i can now say that it is the best laptop i have ever had. When i first turned it on, and went throught the usual register windows etc, it was a breeze to use, and its sheer speed was clearly visible. When i got to the windows home screen, i could see allthe software which sony had installed on the system and thought to myself....great! I'd better spend an afternoon on this. So in the end i spent around 4 hours removing all the junk that comes pre-installed on it. Anyway, after that, i restarted the system, and to my amazment, it returned to the windows home screen in around 1 minute. This was amazing for me, as most of the computers i have had in the past, didnt even come close to this speed. The functionality of this system is also amazing. For a laptop weighing only 1.69Kg...

Advantages: massive screen
Disadvantages: large.

...This laptop is the Sony VAIO AR88E. The laptop is made mainly for gaming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to do serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable. Its mainly black in colour however I like the design ho the screen top part comes over the bottom part of the laptop base slightly so that it gives a more cooler look to the laptop. ...The VGN-SZ2XP appealed to me when my company commissioned me to go out and get a new laptop, simply because it was small. There are so many laptops out there posting of a 15 or 17 inch screen, which, when you're trying to carry them around everyday, can get quite heavy. So when I saw this cute little laptop with its 13.3 inch X-Black screen (which apparently means it's a LCD screen riddled with LED technology which gives it a brilliant contrast ration and makes colors seem clearer). And what's more it weighs less then 2kg (I thin it's something like 1.7kg according to its stats) which gave my shoulder a break. This little thing also has the technology side of things down. Sleek and Stylish Sony Vaio

Advantages: Great price for a Sony, Highly aesthetically pleasing

...I have always wanted a Sony Vaio laptop; as far as I’m concerned, there is no laptop out there that comes anywhere close to being as aesthetically pleasing and stylish as the Vaio. In white, the Sony Vaio is by far the most attractive laptop on the market, and when I saw this moderately priced white Sony Vaio sitting there for the taking, I knew that it was something that I just had to own. Macbook’s are similarly styled, however I have always preferred the Windows operating system so for me, a Macbook was not a viable option. In the past, Sony have always priced themselves a bit out of the market by marking up their laptops at a higher cost than similar specification machines, however the VGN-N230 breaks with this tradition and has brought Sony well and truly into the budget laptop market which is great to see...
