...Toshiba have really expanded their Laptop/ notebook range over the last decade. The Equium series represents an affordable option for those wanting a standard laptop without advanced hardware. The Equium range operates moderately with Vista- although slow down can often be a problem. Even with a couple of Gig of Ram and the dual core processor it can often have short moments of fatigue. Initially problems such as these aren't noticable, but after a year or so- when you have a number applications running in the background- then you realise what a difference higher power machines make. The on-board sound card is certainly nothing to get excited about. If you are into your music then don't expect to blast it out. ...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky!
