Photos in a Flash
Review of HP Photosmart A516 by
galaxynicole
Advantages: Cheap, easy to install and use
Disadvantages: none
...HP Photosmart A516
These days, I use a digital camera and my phone camera to capture the greatest moments in my life. One day, I noticed that all pictures where on the PC and that if I lost them (due to computer failure), that chunks off my life in photos would be missing. I'm not one of these people that likes going into Boots and print out the photos that you want on paper. I feel it's a too personal thing to do in the middle of a shop. That's when I decided to buy a photo printer. My boyfriend (now fiancé) recommended the HP Photosmart A516. He works at Currys (yes, I hear you all booing now but a job's a job lol). Currys are retailing them at £49.99, of course, I got mine for less with instant replacement but that's with his staff discount. I paid £35 for the whole lot at the time, which is about 4 months ago...

Small, Compact, but produces great Results
Review of HP PhotoSmart A516 by
dwspalton
Advantages: Easy to carry, good connectivity, no need for a pc
Disadvantages: No battery pack
...For photos that you want to print at home (if you are lazy like me, and don't want to go down town to Boots), then the A516 is a must have if you have a digital camera.
You can pick them up for about £40 now in alot of the PC shops.
I was not expecting the best results from this printer, but it can bring out the pictures pretty much as well as the Photo companies.
It accepts Smart Media / XD media / Compact Flash / Memory Stick / and SD memory cards.
It also has a USB port for pictbridge. This is where you connect the camera direct to the printer and select what you want to print.
Here is a little secret for you...
Try putting your bluetooth USB adapter in the socket... does its come up saying bluetooth settings and the light on the adapter flashing...
You can now send images from your camera phone direct to the printer...

The National Space Centre
Review of Leicester in General by
martinprice
Advantages: A good day out for the whole family
Disadvantages: none
...“BIG” the universe is.
There are lots of other smaller areas to explore and lots to do, even the toilets are space-aged. There is a small gift shop where you can buy lots of space related gifts including freeze-dried strawberries.
There were quite a lot of people there, being the middle of the school holidays, but it didn’t feel particularly crowded and our kids didn’t have to wait long in order to get a turn on the interactive exhibits. I would say it is suitable for 5-16 year old although adults will also get quite a lot of it. They do not let children under 5 into the film, although there is a play area for them.
Unfortunately there is no outside area so you can’t take a picnic. If you want more info try the web site on www. spacecentre.co.uk . I would certainly recommend it for a visit, especially...

An Innocent Prisoner!
Review of A Day In The Life Of.... by
JohnGroom
Advantages: Instant Karma...I paid for my sins!
Disadvantages: What goes round...comes round!
...to phone in from the same telephone box on the corner of the street where I lived. It was a great job.
One day I was asked if I could construct a desk from a flat pack. "Of course" I replied. "Oh good! We've just had an order for 3,000 desks to be delivered to branches of the Trustee Savings Bank up and down the country!" Aaaaarrrgh!
The first one was in a quaint little town called Toxteth in sunny Liverpool. I loaded the VW delivery van up with 5 desks and ambled off to Liverpool armed with a screwdriver and two 5/16" AF Spanners. Not the most ideal weapons of choice but essential for what I was about to do. I would have preferred a baseball bat!
The port of call was in a small precinct with apartment blocks at the rear. I had been told that the painters were in the bank finishing off the paintwork. The bank was next door to a cake...
