Reviews of a 560
An ideal first timers juicer
Review of Kenwood JE560 by
scarymonkey
Advantages: Efficient
Disadvantages: Noisy and juicing can be messy
...I had never thought of buying a juicer until I decided to go shopping for a new food processor. How I ended up buying a juicer I can't work out but I am glad I did.
The Kenwood JE560 looks unusual as most juicers appear to be fully contained with the pulp store site above the juice store. In the JE560 the pulp is stored around the cutting mesh and the juice fed out to a serperate jug.
I started off by juicing some apples and grapes. The apple left a fairly dry pulp and produced a reasonable amount of juice. The grapes on the other hand produced a wet pulp and a huge amount of juice. Since then I have tried juicing citrus fruit (I now use a dedicated citrus juicer), pineapple and summer berries. Overall I have found that the fruits that provide the wettest pulp also seem to provide the largest amount of juice. The only concerning thing...

Shoot me with your power
Review of Canon PowerShot A560 by
thirdpartyagent
Advantages: great pictures, quality build, easy to use, detailed instructions
Disadvantages: poor flash, shocking battery life, limited memory as standard
...Canon quality is worth splashing out a litle mor ethan normal and I had no hesitation when it came to replacing my Kodak EasyShare in switching make and model and opting for the PowerShot A560 despite the difference in prices. A bit of searching around enabled me to pick up the A560 for only £112, with standard retailers asking in the region of £150.
In the box came the camera, a nice strong and flexible wrist strap, the 16MB memory card, some batteries, an AV cable and a user manual that explained in graphic detail written in plain English every function of the camera.
Ergonomically speaking the A560 could not be designed any better. The slight bulking to the right hand side is perfect to increase grip on the camera and thus reduce on judders and movements while taking pictures. There is a real zoom optical viewfinder plus a 2...

Excellent home printer
Review of Canon i 560 by
Mustrumdavid
Advantages: Easy to use and Cheap to run
Disadvantages: will only take A4 max
...I recently bought the Canon i560 printer primarily for use as a general purpose printer. I found the installation very straight-forward. The packaging was excellent and it took me only about 40 minutes to get it up and running on my XP system. As part of the introductory pack, canon included some photo paper and I tried this out. Fisrt of all, I forgot to set the paper size and wasted some sheets. When I finally got the hang of it, I was absolutely staggered by the quality of printing on photo paper.
I have used the printer for textm graphics and photos and i have found it absolutely excellent. The speed is acceptable for low quantities and the only fault I can find with the printer is that handling the occassional paper jam is not easy. Otherwise, its economy, its ease of use and its economy cannot be beaten in its price range. i would...

Brilliant Stereo Brilliant Sound
Review of Aiwa XR-H560MD by
cascade
Advantages: Good deep base, nice price.
Disadvantages: Annoying Demo mode which may wake you up at night!
...Aiwa XR-H560MD is really good stereo and did'nt cost me an arm or a leg either. With 260 PMPO power behind it, It fills the largest of rooms well and has a deep ambient bass. The unit has many features such as Kareoke, echo, bass boost as well as many sound effects which change the bass and treble levels depending on what type of sound you want to emulate. The unit has a double tape deck, a three way CD changer and a mini-disc player. Its easy to use interface and using the remote is like stealing candy from a baby (dont quote me on that!.) I picked up the unit and speakers for around £200 which in my book is a real bargain for the quality of soun it produces and the amount of features it contains. Good old fashion value for money....

Canon i560 - Top Quality Printing at Budget Prices
Review of Canon i 560 by
tomhughes
Advantages: Superb quality, low running costs...
Disadvantages: Bit bulky? None really...
...I purchased my Canon i560 printer and spare cartridges for it from the wonderful ebuyer.com for the bargain price of around £100. I'd recommend shopping around though if you intend to buy one.
Although this initially seems like quite a bit for mid-range inkjet, you must bear in mind that the cartridges are simply ink tanks and can be found for around £3 each per colour. Also the ink lasts for ages so this works out a very cheap printer to run.
I bought it in replacement of my old Epson Stylus 680, a hideous printer which was unreliable, not particularly good quality and cost an absolute fortune to run thanks to its 'chipped' cartridges. But thats a whole other story.
The i560 is an attractive enough looking machine, although sadly sticks with the usual beige colour scheme which may not fit in with some more modern systems. Its...

Olympus SP-560 UZ
Review of Olympus SP-560 UZ by
ventjoran
Advantages: compact, light, good features, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: colours can appear dull, especially in low light conditions
...I recently went in search of a digital camera that I will not hesitate to take along with me every time I go out. My current DSLR tends to be left behind a lot, as my back is finally rebelling after years of abuse!
Two reasons for looking at a compact, rather than a lighter, newer SLR is that until manufacturers have solved the dust problem with SLR, I will stay away from the DSLR market (a problem not much talked about but which is extremely common!)
Before getting on to the review of the Olympus SP-560 UZ, let me give this advice to anyone considering treating themselves this Christmas: buy a compact, as the fixed lens does not allow particles of dust to get onto the CCD, unlike with SLR, a very costly problem!
So, there I went, in search of a potential replacement for my DSLR; the first camera I checked out was the: Olympus SP...

Excellent Case for Compatible Cameras
Review of Canon DCC-80 Case Digital photo camera by
bubblepack
Advantages: Designed specially for the range, durable and has every carrying option
Disadvantages: Not for non-compatible cameras
...I bought a Canon PowerShot A560 Camera and, as one was not supplied, I needed a case to protect it when I am carrying it around. I checked the Canon website and found a chart showing that the DCC-80 soft case was the one recommended for my camera. I found the DCC-80 case listed on Amazon.com for £10.99. However, on the Amazon site, it was listed as being compatible with the A710 IS, AS700, A540, A530, A520 and A510... the A560 was not listed! However, the listing on the Canon site (in the downloadable brochure), along with the fact that I know that the A550 is the same size as the A560, made me press ahead and buy the case. Amazon delivered it with their usual efficiency.
What I got in the package was:
- the case
- a wrist strap
- a shoulder strap
First of all, although it was not listed on the packet, the A560 fits the case...

Loox no further for a PDA
Review of Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N560 by
JamesLockett
Advantages: Small, lightweight, easy use
Disadvantages: Slow GPS, No navigation software
...I had been looking for a small, powerful PDA for a while and managed to narrow my searches down to a short list of just two. I had a few specific requirements in mind such as a good, clear screen, GPS, a fast processor and sufficient memory. So in the end it was a toss up between the Acer N311 and the Pocket Loox N560…
The two aforementioned PDAs were very similar in specification, but the N560 just shaded it on memory and power, which was what helped me in finally deciding on the N560. And it has not disappointed. The screen is a bright and clear 3.5" touch sensitive screen (as you would expect with a PDA), and is very responsive and accurate when you are using the stylus. I would recommend getting some screen protectors as it can get dirty and greasy very easily (I would point at this point though, getting hold of these kinds...

good but not as good as most sony ones
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV145 by
patrickg1987
Advantages: very sturdy, quite cheap.
Disadvantages: no steady shot, Confusing Software
...Thisis a good Digital Camcorder on the market. It's light, durable and quite small. It has many great features such as:
Night shot
Night shot can enable you to see and record in the dark with great detail for up to 20 metres in pitch black areas. It is very good for recording nature documentries. A lot like having night vision goggles!
10x optical zoom
This enables you to zoom in 10 times without losing the quality of the image you are recording It is good for detailed close-ups like watching an ant.
560x digital zoom
This is very impressive. You can zoom into far distances and be able to see low resolution images up to 560 times.
1.5" colour screen
This is really handy for seeing what you are recording and even handier for watching what you have just recorded
Very bright light
The light on this camcorder is so bright, it can light...

The Canon i560, a hard act to follow.
Review of Canon i 560 by
jerzed
Advantages: Fast, Quiet, Economical, Stunning quality, PictBridge interface
Disadvantages: Cannot print CDs, Flimsy output tray
...of ink. Even best whisky is cheaper than this.
I spotted the Canon at PC-World about a year ago. At £119 it was dearer than a lot of offerings but faster, more versatile and most importantly the cartrige capacity was twice that of the identically priced replacements for the so-called "cheaper" models. The only consideration after print quality should be capacity, capacity, capacity. I spoke to the Canon Rep who was in the store and compared various specifications. He was very helpful and impulse buying mode took over.
Unlike the Epsons that have the print-head fixed to the carriage/cartridge holder, the Canon's head is eperate and is threfore easily replaced in the event of failure. I like this feature. Ease of service is a big plus, even in the event of a warranty claim. Epsons need to be dismantled to get at the head.
The i560 uses...
