I bought the iPod touch for my son for his 10th birthday. Before he alerted me to the item I knew nothing at all about it. Having played around with it for a few hours, I can now see what all the fuss is about as this item is so addictive. The touch comes in 3 guises, namely 8Gb, 16Gb and 32Gb versions. These are all identical apart from, obviously the storage capacity.

Review of Apple iPod touch 8 GB
Advantages: LARGE MEMORY, SOUND OUTPUT AND LONG BATTERY LIFE. Disadvantages: : FRAGILE IN LOOKS.

The I pod touch is capable of storing large capacity of information well what actually do you think of a device that that has 8gb memory space. Like I wrote above, it is capable of 1500 to 1700 songs and on the other hand, capable of storing 10,000 pictures and also capable of playing video for the duration of 10 hours.
In terms of videos, you can equally upload videos just like in music. You can upload movie but the issue with it is that the more you videos you put, the less you space
In the music section, we have many categories like the album, artist, song title and genre these are the categories that make it very possible for you to make easy selections of your music.

As my boyfriend's birthday approached, I was panicking as to what to get him as men are a nightmare to shop for and I really wanted to get something exciting. I noticed that he kept borrowing my ipod nano and initially planned to get him one of his own but on the Apple website I saw the ipod touch and worked out that if I got him that then I could steal it and use it!
From the Apple website, the 8GB iPod Touch cost me £199 with free postage and packing and a free optional engraving. I thought this was a reasonable price it was nice and simple to order it online. I chose the free engraving option and this enabled me to have a two line engraving on the back (top centre) of the ipod. I purchased the 8gb version 3 months or so back and ive been really please with it. It stands out from the rest as it has a large screen for viewing videos and photo's, but not only that it has the built in touch sensitive display which is very easy to use and im sure very popular. It has also introduced the new wii-fi so that you can connect to a wireless connection whether it be from the comfort of your home or in a coffee shop etc. when you go to i-tunes ur music and files can be transferred to your ipod within seconds though videos take a bit longer. All in all id say this product is worth investing in if you have a spare £180....

...I have owned this since before Christmas 2008. The packaging was minimal and the design of the Apple Ipod touch 8Gb is breathtaking. Beautiful.
The docking is identical to previous generations of Ipod so can be used with any of your previous connectivity and charging docking solutions. The great gui and human interface via the touch screen is innovative and market leading.
However, finding your way about and updating via the Apple site takes a few moments to get your head around. Just take your time and enjoy the experience.
There are speakers in the case so for occasional use you can listen without earphones. There is a mini jack for connection to systems that do not support the Ipod dock. Aftermarket accessories are available for this like cases and skins.

...Ive had the ipod touch 8gb since christmas and i got it for £200 and i think that it was worth every penny but now the price has dropped slightly to £179.99 which makes this product even better ive had 3 ipods before (nano 1st,2nd and shuffle) and this is the best by far!!! it has a great 3.5" touch screen and the 8gb internal memory is more than enough to store your favorite music and a few music videos or a couple of movies but if you want a mp3 player to watch movies the ipod touch is the product for you but i would go for the 16gb model as 8gb realy isnt big enough for movies and your favorite music. i would highly reccomend this product to anyone who is lookin for a new mp3/mp4 player . i think this ipod is so good that what ever mp3 you own im sure you would realy enjoy the ipod touches features and great look. and the battery life...

LOOK & DESIGN
I love the look of the iPod touch. The smooth graphics and colours blend to make an easy-on-the-eye contraption. Pictures on Safari (the web browser, also used on most Macs) are perfect, even when zoomed in. Pages on both the home page and on Safari are layed out perfectly.
RANGE OF FEATURES
The range of different apps and features is unbelievable - there are millions! Unfortunately I only get the free ones, I don't pay for them... but, hey!, the free ones are still really fun! I love the Darts, Bowling, Four in a Row, Tic Tac Toe, and the Last.fm apps - they are my favourites.
