Wierd little bits

...Don?t you just hate it when something goes wrong with the car and you haven?t got the right bit to sort it, or even attempt to sort it? Such is life that this happens to me all the time or at least it used too. I still get caught out occasionally with the big expensive bits but in general for screws and those funny-headed gizmos that keep some secret part of the engine running I?ve now got them sussed. Bits For Your Kits

Advantages: Easy to store and loved by my kittens
Disadvantages: Only one flavour, bit expensive

...treat that can be fed at anytime. I personally only feed them as a treat since their price warrants this. A box of Go Cat or something similar, is not much more expensive and would last quite a bit longer. The treats are very crunchy and I was a bit apprehensive about giving them to my 3 month old kittens but they have no problems with them and the feeding guide doesn’t exclude kittens. When you’re next out prowling around the shops have a look out for them but be warned not all supermarkets stock them (my branch of Waitrose doesn’t)....

Creative Sound Blaster 24bit

Advantages: Cheap, good quality sound
Disadvantages: not enough ports

...My computer is getting on a bit, my sound card was a Creative Live 1024 and saw this card for £25 brand new and thought that's a bargain compared to other 24bit cards. After buying the card it installed very easily and the software bundle that came with it is very useful. I've always used creative as I find the sound quality is very good and using it for gaming you need it. This card was much better than my Live 1024 but I doubt many people would be able to notice. The card has the ability to switch between 4.1, 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 sound. I currently use a 5.1 surround sound headset so set it 5.1 and it is fantastic. The software bundle that comes with it is very good and easy to use. For the average home user this bundle will be more than enough to fully enjoy this card. Do you fancy a bit of 360?

Advantages: Great graphics and sounds
Disadvantages: Not all the features are included.

...comparing the 3 consoles, the X-Box 360, The Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. And the one which comes out on top is usually the X-Box. Although the extra features sometimes cost a bit, they aren't completely neccessary and so you can get along fine without them. There is an online feature for the 360 called X-Box live which enables the player to download movie and game 'demo's' and then play their games online which is a truly amazing experience, to interact with people from all over the world is great fun. I would recommend this console to anyone looking for a great gaming experience for under £300. The console itself is approximately £250 for the Premium console which includes the HDMi cable and a 20GB hard drive. Or £190 for the Core edition which only has a regular console. ...Firstly, I can't believe those gals actually get paid for what they do! (they're so lucky!) I think Bits is a brilliant programme, and plugged a niche in the market for good gaming programmes on tv. It is hosted by three young women who are good presenters, gamers and reviewers, as well as being good looking and likeable. The show incorporates reviews, tips, on the road footage, previews and discussion, and there's always something wacky afoot to make the show what it is. The sets are weird in a kind of "The Big Breakfast" way (bright colours, odd gimmicky things like soft toys). The girls always wear bright statement-making t'shirts, and always have something unusual to say about the games - though not always fully understandable, as they talk at such a fast pace. Bright, informative, fun, a good reason to stay up late....

...Windows is world renound for its global market domination on the PC. So many of us don't have much choice when it comes to operating systems. I decided when purchasing a 64bit cpu that I would get a 64bit OS aswell to get the full advantage of the hardware. To be honest there was a very notable difference in the speed of the system, especially the boot time. However at the moment for software, 64bit hasn't been taken on my many firms to provide drivers. This is a major problem for XP as you need to find the appropriate software driver otherwise your hardware is totally useless. With time and knowledge on your side, getting everything to work is possible.
