Advantages: Looks elegant, keeps my eyes shaded.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.

...I've always liked to wear something on my head, I'm not the elegant lady-like type and not very courageous fashion-wise, I've never worn a stylish felt creation adorned with feathers and stuff, I'm more a straw hat in summer and woollen cap in winter woman. Some years ago I decided to wear not just any cheap straw hat any more but the real thing, a Panama hat, as it becomes an elderly lady. But it's not only this, I've never been a one for sunbathing and after two cataract operations I've become even more adverse to direct sunshine, I need my hat now. Of course, I don't get a suntan this way, but I won't get skin cancer, either. I shall wear this hat when I go for walks in the hills when it is cold; It will help keep me cozy. This hat is made of Polartec® Power Stretch® fabric, which is extremely low bulk but has great thermal properties so it takes up little room in my pocket or back pack and does not make my head look massive. Advantages: Great rhyme and a popular character.
Disadvantages: Not as humorous as some of her other books.

...When I was little, I adored the Bear Factory - not known as Build a Bear Workshop. I remember when it first opened - I was amazed by all those teddy bears, all the options, the clothes! Of course, the price of the store never occurred to me, and I would just spend all my pocket money in there all the time. Having (supposedly) matured now, I do not go in there for myself, though I do go in and buy my sister a lot of things from there. It gives me an excuse to a) spoil her and b) spend time in the store without feeling like an idiot! One of the latest items I bought her, along with a few bits to match, is the polka dot rain hat. Advantages: A very soft sounding rock album - you can listen to with a headache
Disadvantages: Music which can be depressing at times

Listening to the album to give my personal opinion has really brought those memories flooding back again ? but I?m always happy when it does, as it makes me grateful for the life that I now have. ...Prior to finding this book I had only read books by Julia Donaldson that were illustrated by Axel Scheffler. This time, Julia Donaldson has collaborated with the illustrator, Anna Currey. ~ The Content / Style and Format ~ This is a very simple book, ideal for children, aged 2 years upwards. As the title suggests, it is about a little girl named Rosie who is on a cliff top by the sea when a gust of wind blows her hat off. The hat is blown in to different situations, for example, it is used by boys to make a sandcastle, is caught by a fisherman who is frustrated that it isn't a fish and it even ends up helping a mouse escape from an owl's claws!
