Teething links
Advantages: simple fun bright
Disadvantages: none!
...I bought these for my daughter now that she's started teething and they have fast become her favourite toy despite being very simple and cheap compred to many of the other toys she has!
These links are simple. They consist of one large black and white plastic ring which then has a series of other rings that can snap onto this main ring. These links are all different colours and textures. THere are 10 links in total and they have smooth ones, bobbly ones, ones with ridges on and ones with dots on. They are orange and green and red and purple and many others.
What is great about these is that they are very light so it's realy easy for Baby Hope to hold onto them and play with them herself. She is able to hold onto them and jiggle them around, because they are plastic and all linked on they make a very nice rattly noise which...

The missing link in the chain.
Advantages: See text.
Disadvantages: See text.
...I would just like to write a review on the Weakest Link, which is now actually shown on BBC1 and not BBC2 as it says here between 5.15 and 6 pm or thereabouts. It is hosted by Anne Robinson, and the format of it is going to be described here.
There are about nine contestants who start off at the beginning of the show, and they all introduce themselves; their age (sometimes); what they do, and where they come from. The rules of the game are then described ? the person whose name is first alphabetically starts the game off by answering the first question. All of the questions are general knowledge pretty much, but they do actually in fact cover the equivalent of all of the subjects that are on a Trivial Pursuit board so it is really in effect pot luck what all of the contestants get asked when it is their turn.
There is about 1...

The Link to excellent service
Advantages: friendly staff, good range, loyalty scheme
Disadvantages: is there one in your area?
...Need to buy a new mobile, want impartial advice? Then this is the place to go!
If any of you reading this have seen my previous opinions on the Mitsubishi Geo & Mars mobile phones, then you may be wondering where I got my info from. Voila! The Link is the place that I shop at.
I initially went there a few years ago to buy my very first mobile. Knowing nothing at all about what type, tariff, network etc I eventually after much window shopping went into my local Link store in Liverpool cIty Centre. That was 4 years ago, and I still go there now - you may be asking yourself why.
Upon entering I found one very noticeable thing - no salesperson jumping on you as you enter the door. As I walked around looking at different mobiles/tariffs, the staff seemed to allow to peruse the shop without interference. When I approached one for some...

Link for free
Advantages: Convenient freee network of cash machines
Disadvantages: May become a chargeable service
...The Link was set up the mid 1980’s by an organisation of 40 + financial institutions and is essentially a shared network of cash machines which are distributed throughout the United Kingdom. The aim is to decrease the expansion costs for the alliance members and by extension, lower costs for their customers. A nice idea in principal, but maybe someone would like to take a look at my last bank Statement?
Nowadays, the Link is nearly as well branded and established as Visa and MasterCard signs. I had always believed that the Link was a free of charge service, so wherever I went in the country, come rain or shine I trekked around the town until I found a Link ATM. I was wrong, it depends where you are and which card you choose to use. The rules of the money game are as follows:
If you card issuer usually charges you for cash...

The Weakest Link
Advantages: Better than millionaire!
Disadvantages: Would be useless without Annie
...I think you either love or hate the Weakest Link. In case you’ve been living under a stone for the past 8 months The Weakest Link is a mean, cruel quiz show hosted by Anne Robinson. A group are asked questions to get money and at the end of each round the group vote somebody off. They usually vote off the person who has answered the least questions correctly. Once there are only two people left they are alternately asked questions, whoever gets the most correct wins all the money that the group built up.
Anne Robinson is very rude she has various famous phrases including “You are the weakest Link – Goodbye!” and “Do you realize that there are 8 million people watching some complete dunces!” As you can tell Anne Robinson wouldn’t know manners if they hit her in the face. But that’s...

Does Link's mini adventure hit the spot?
Advantages: Good while it lasts, Pretty graphics
Disadvantages: Leaves you wanting more
...for itself. As for the game, it does exactly what Nintendo want it to by accustoming the player to the Zapper, but a bit more would always be nice.
Conclusion
To conclude, Link's Crossbow Training is short but enjoyable, and gets players familiarised with the Zapper quickly and easily just as intended.
Overall Score: 8/10...

Initial City Link Muppetry
Advantages: I managed not to kill anyone
Disadvantages: Total lack of customer service; depot miles away from anyone
...If you've ever wondered where the people who were not quite intelligent or human-looking to work in Argos ended up then I think I have the answer. Initial City Link, the courier delivery service that could make a worthy adversary to Dr Who (if he ever, y'know, ordered a sonic screwdriver from Maplins and ICL were delivering it).
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, the muppets at ICL. Bear in mind this review relates entirely to getting a delivery made to me in the Edinburgh area (since that's where I live, it would be silly getting something delivered to me elsewhere).
I'm not sure if it's because I was being sent expensive items, or because they were large, but the place I bought my new bike wheels from decided to send these by ICL. If I'd known this in advance I would gladly have gone elsewhere, paid 20 quid more for the wheels...

Greatest Link
Advantages: Anne makes the show intersting and the voting is compelling. Just a great quiz show.
Disadvantages: None
...The quiz is competing with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to see which is the the best quiz show in England at the moment in my opinion. I think both the shows are nerveracking and great but i don't know which one i like best. And both of the quizzes have totally different stragety. In The Weakest Link its about team work and WWTBAM is about working on your own, the presenters also have different personalties, Chris Tarrant is the presenter for WWTBAM and Anne Robinson is the prensenter for TWL, more about them later. Though both of the quizzes have catchy one liners. TWL one is 'You are The Weakest Link, Goodbye', and WWTBAM is 'Is that your final answer.'
How to play
It involves a group of strangers they (haven't met before the day they play) who have to work together as a team to win prize money of up to £10,000. But only one...

Sh*tty Link
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: they lose stuff and are totally incompetent
...As the proprietor of a mail order company, I have a lot of experience with UK courier companies; after bad experiences with Parcel Farce and Night Fright, we switched to Shitty Link about one year ago, and I can honestly say this company is by far the worse courier service in the UK.
It's not just the fact that they seem to regularly loose stuff, do not come to collect parcels when we have booked them in, or deliver goods to the wrong customer, which of course all very compelling reasons not to ever use City Link, but it's also their inability to sort anything out, once they have screwed up.
Let me explain some of the horrors with City Link
They lost a parcel containing about £400 worth of goods, and then denied that they ever picked it up, so we were unable to claim anything from their "insurance"
They lost about £1500 worth...

CITY LINK DRIVE ME INSANE - UPDATED for 2006
Advantages: none at all
Disadvantages: rude staff, unhelpful, inefficient, say one thing and do another
...I am writing this review as a person who has received items deliverd by CityLink.
Last year I received a card through my door telling me that CityLink had attempted a delivery.
This card stated that the parcel had to be signed for at the address and could not be delivered elsewhere. The alternative is to collect the parcel from them but they will only keep it for 5 days.
I telephoned the Exeter office to request that they deliver to my office, but they refused, insisting that it had to be left at my house and a signature obtained. I had quite a lengthy conversation with the man, saying that I lived 20 miles from their depot and was always out at work, but nothing would shift him.
(You can only have a different delivery address if you contact the company you ordered the item from and they advise CityLink, but seeing as they...
