...local boots store which has all the cameras on display and they allow you to handle them before buying. After spending the best part of an hour looking at two different camera one being this one and the other being the Fuji A345 which has a lesser specification, I decided to buy the Fuji A350 digital camera mainly because of the specification. *Why I really bought this model over the others? I loved the small sleek look that this camera was offering it look very modern it comparison to many other on the market. Full coated in a smooth silver finish I thought it looked the part. Not to mention the fact that it had one of the best specifications available within my budget of £200. The final decider for me was the fact it was produced by Fuji and of course that's who I wanted. **Cost and availably I bought mines from the boots shop...

The Fujifilm FinePix A350

Advantages: Fairly small/compact, cheap, good picture quality, rechargable batteries last a good while
Disadvantages: Bigger memory card needed (but easily available), occasional temper

...To be honest, this camera is my first and although not my choice it has proven to be very handy. The camera itself is of average size and weight. The A350 includes all the basic functions - flash, zoom, you are able to change the pixel quality (and it displays how many photo's your memory card can further hold), self timer and different shooting modes e.g.night, sport, landscape. The camera also allows you to record videos - the length depends on the size of the memory card, which is fairly cheap to buy. However the one that comes with the camera doesn't really prove very useful but at least its a common memory card (XD picture card). The A350 displays if the camera isn't steady. Another bonus is that after a while the camera's screen switches off if left - saving battery. Talking of batteries i've put I rechargables in mine...

Easy as A to B

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: none for the money

...Well Santa was very good to me this year, in my stocking he left lots of lovely gifts, none more lovely though than my new Binatone A350 Sat Nav. I used to have a Navman PiN 570, which was also a PDA. The connector on the bottom of this broke free from the main board and from then on I was unable to charge it. From my short experience of the A350 I cannot see this being a problem on this unit. The charging connecting is that of the small USB type, for both charging from the USB port of my PC and from the cigarette lighter socket in the car. My initial impression was that it was quite heavy, and from past experience I have generally found that something with a bit of weight usually is pretty robust and last a while????.I do hope this is the case. The A350 is menu driven from the touch screen. A small stylus is supplied...

Great overall feel and value for money

Advantages: Great picture quality, easy to use, many manual functions
Disadvantages: Tends to underexpose at high ISO's

...I used this camera on a few occations and can honestly tell you it is a great camera with excellent value for money. Sony really came a far way with their cameras and their quality is really high. You can't go wrong with any of their new camera products. The Sony A350 is no exception. The picture quality is great, the controls are really easy with a lot of functions. It's really easy to for beginners and pros alike. It's great for makro shots and just as great for nice landscape photos. I have done great photography of forests and mountains with this camera. I do however want to say that it tends to underexpose a little bit when using high ISO's, but shouldn't be a big problem. I can suggest this camera for anyone who wants to buy this kind of camera. It really delivers....

Not good - Not bad - You get what you pay for!

Advantages: Small and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Picture quality isn't brilliant and the memory card supplied with the camera will only store up to 5 pictures at a time!

...- in actual fact after a week I was all set to send it back but then dropped it, scratched it and am now stuck with it! I am a little disappointed as I would have thought that a camera with 5.2 mega pixels would have expected a much higher picture quality and compared to other cameras (which are also 5 mega pixels) such as the 'Samsung Digimax A503 5 mp digital camera' (available in Argos for just £89.99) the picture quality of the Fuji A350 is quite frankly appalling. I also noticed that you can buy an 8 mega pixel camera made by Samsung from Argos at the moment for the same price (£149.99) so in my opinion that would be a much better camera to go for. So to summarise - if you want a quick, fairly cheap and reliable camera then I would recommend this one - However if you want high quality photos and a memory card with a large...

Not Great but Not Bad either.

...In my opinion Fuji has been leader in bringing out the latest technology but this one does dissappoint. First of all the camera isn't that solid and easily scratches, there have even been instances where the camera has managed to scratch itself whilst being in the case! The quality however isn't that bad but isn't that good either it easily picks out a lot blur so there isn't much chance of a distorted picture, but an A4 printout did reveal a somewhat pixelated image and a slight colour differential. The camera is a handy size and it has all the effects you'd expect a digital camera to have, the menu system is also easy to access. The best part of the camera is probably the battery life I've had the camera for two weeks now and have taken it out about 5 times, 2 of those times the camera was constantly used in the same period so that...
