...Summary This is a well priced and family friendly hotel, ideally located for easy access to North Wales, and an ideal stop off for any holiday in Wales. I stayed at this hotel for one night in October 2009. The Hotel The hotel is just off the A55 about halfway between Chester and Llandudno. The hotel is only accessible from the A55 westbound, and you have to travel to the next junction to travel back to England, which is slightly inconvenient unless you are travelling on further into Wales. The hotel is spread over three floors. There is a small reception area as you enter the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant to the right of the reception desk. The staff who assisted me on check in were a little colder than the normal Holiday Inn staff, but were not rude. The hotel does not have a pool, but it does offer a gym...

...05.02.04 - I have edited this so you might just want to skip to the bottom. I used to have a nokia that i dropped so many times it was held together by sellotape. I shopped around for a new nokia and decided that I didn't want to pay the £80 for a new one - after all with my track record I am only going to drop it again. I am on Orange Pay as you go and wanted to stay with them, so I went to my local orange shop. The Siemens A55 was on offer there for £39.99 - a bargain I am sure you will agree but thats not all. There are currently doing a deal where they give you £10.00 free air time credit and they give this to existing Orange customers to thank you for staying loyal to them and also to new orange customers to thank you for joining with them. ...As a bit of a nokia fan, I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase of my siemens A55 mobile phone. But at the cheapest on the market (correct 29.03.04) at £49.99 I thought it was a bit of a bargain! ~~~Aesthetics~~~ Lets forget about the unimportant packaging and go straight on to the little red phone inside the box. When I first saw it in O2, I must admit it was the price my eyes were drawn too but on closer inspection the phone seemed pretty small and smooth i.e. no abrasive edges so comfortable to put into your pocket or slide into your tiny handbag for a night out. The exact measurements are 103 x 46 x 21.5 mm which is about 4 x 2" . The phone comes in two colours red and blue with stoney grey sides. The size and weight of it allows for handy and convenient transportation of the phone. It is particularly useful when carried around in your trouser's pocket - unlike most other phones and gadgets, it doesn't show up on your pants thanks to its petiteness. As for the ease of using it, please pardon my use of a cliché to describe the phone's interface - a "no-brainer". It's simple enough, straightforward, while not loaded with useless and rarely-used programmes one would see in today's mobile phones, thus making it a highly functional phone. My A55, the Slender Brick

Advantages: Can be bumped, dropped, scratched, chipped, moaned at and run non-stop...
Disadvantages: A little boring perhaps with its dreary display, but who needs colour really?

Siemens A55 - a good bog-standard PAYG

...The Siemens A55 is small, reliable, sturdy and cheap. It's easy to use and cheap to run, with good battery life of approx 60 hours continuous. If you're just looking for a bog-standard, no frills PAYG phone then this could be the one for you. It has space for 40 text messages, 100 phone numbers, and all the usual stuff, calculator, alarm clock, call records (including missed call feature and free missed call alert) games, voicemail, and a good selection of ring tones. A Nice Little Phone with Lots of Features

...It was that time to buy a new mobile, but for a change I opted for something different instead of a Nokia, so I chose the Siemens A55 and boy it was worth it. To start the A55 looks similar to the A50 with the exception of a new type of connector in the 55 series, it supports 16 polyphonic ringtones and has a handsfree speaker system built in to the phone. The A55 is really simple to use all the phones navigation is done via three buttons just below the screen, the middle one for up, down and the phone book and the outer buttons for selecting the required options. The phone is a nice size, not to big and not to small (45mm x 100mm) and weighs a mere 84g. The screen on the A55 has a good resolution of 101 x 64 pixels and hold 4 lines of text with up to 16 characters per line, and an orange or blue back-light depending...

...Holiday Inn Chester West is situated in North Wales, at Northop Hall, near Mold, just off the A55. [So, not in Chester at all, but I?m sure you?ll agree that ?Holiday Inn Chester West? has a better chance of selling itself than ?Holiday Inn Mold?!] The hotel is on three floors and was renovated in 2003. Interestingly, the hotel is owned by a local company which runs it as a franchise from Holiday Inn. On the whole, we got the impression that the staff were friendlier than usual for a Holiday Inn ? this may be due to the different management structure. There are 81 rooms. We stayed as a family; usually we would have a double bed and a sofa-bed the children. On this occasion, though, the room had two double beds which was more comfy [especially for the children!]. When booking, you are offered the choice of a two double-bed room or one...

...The Siemen?s A55... I first got this phone on a contract through Orange. I was a little gutted really because I wanted the Nokia 3510 but they wouldn?t allow me to have it for some reason. However, when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! It is a small, light phone ? like most mobiles nowadays. It is simple and very easy to navigate your way around the menus. I found it extremly simple being an avid Nokia lover ? so I?m sure a lot of other people could get their heads around it too. This model has changeable face and back panels called "ClipIt", you can easily change your phones look by using them. Sometimes the phone squeaks when you are holding it due to the panels, but it could be because I am a little heave handed. I did manage to drop mine ? at a drunken party ? and the cover went everywhere...

...get it on T Mobile and Vodaphone for a little more on price (Vodaphone is around £60). I've been playing around with my new phone especially the games. You can turn the sounds on and off and the instructions are very easy to understand. You can register at the Siemens site www.my-siemens.com and they credit you automatically with £2.00 on which you can use to download ringtones and logos etc. The Siemens A55 also has interchangable covers, CLIPit covers, at the moment they can be very hard to come by. I know that Carphone Warehouse doesn't stock them, but Ebay does and has hundreds at low prices from as little as £3.99. I've found this phone has lots of character.
