Advantages: You could fall asleep Disadvantages: I nearly did!
...I don't know why, but I haven't done a challenge in ages let alone the A-Z challenge I see everyone else do.....so throwing caution into the wind, I've decided to give it a whack! You may fall, asleep or fall off your chair laughing but may I remind you that I am very strange and live in my very own bubble world.
Here goes nothing!
A is for ACCIDENTS. I am the clumsiest person on the plant. No seriously, I just cause a whole world of pain. My boyfriend just dispairs for me. He thinks it's funny that I keep dropping everything in sight or tripping over something! Nice to know I provide a function in life for him isn't it! A great source of entertainment for him. Saying that, I am pretty bad. I fell down the stairs at my boyfriends house after tripping over a box with a hat in it! Whoops!
B is for BATS. I live in...
Advantages: Get an insight into my life Disadvantages: Can be a bit boring
...This is my attempt at an A-Z, I should imagine it will take me ages to do, trying to make it interesting for everyone. Some letters will be boring and predictable although truthfull.
A is for AIR-SHOWS, I love going to them, watching the planes fly at low level seeing what they are capable of doing and also being able to climb aboard some of them. Also A is for ASTON my beautiful baby girl.
B is for BENTLEY my 22 month old Basset Hound, I have always wanted one and now I have actually managed to get one.
C is for CHOCOLATE, I am a self confessed chocoholic and will eat it in any shape or form.
D is for DUBLIN, I have visited the very friendly city about 8 times and can never remember a great deal about it thanks to all the "real" Guinness I drink.
E is for EVESHAM, my hometown, a quiet market gardening town but home all...
Advantages: Its all about me Disadvantages: Its all about me?
...An A-Z all about me I thought shouldn’t be too difficult…I just hope I don’t bore everyone reading it :-). So here goes:
A – Accounts Assistant is what I am currently employed as, by a big Software company. Feeling intellectual (?), I thought I would continue with my studies and put myself through another 4 years, by doing my ACCA (Chartered Accountancy). I have my first exams in December (6th and 13th), on Managing People and Information Systems and am feeling quite nervous!
B – Banana’s and Ice cream – one of my favourite desserts...just right on a hot summer’s day!
C – Crime novels are a big passion of mine. Authors such as Patricia Cornwell, Martina Cole and Anne Perry are amongst those who I rate highly. Their books are full of suspense, crime and well-written characters.
D – Dirty Dancing – one of my favourite films...
Advantages: Could be fun Disadvantages: Could be boring
...With a 2 day old baby sitting next to me I thought it would be best if i wrote something easy, and what could be easier than the alphabet? So here is my A-Z.
A is for Aaaarrrggghhh. This is my favourite word at the moment. With three children under the age of four, a bloke, the most annoying sister in the world, and her boyfriend all crammed into a two bedroomed house along with all our endless stuff, its a bit chaotic to say the least, so the word Aaaarrrggghhh is very common in my household.
B is for babies. I have a 2 day old, an almost two year old, and an almost four year old. I love babies. Especially when they are newborn. They are just so gorgeous. I am not having any more though!
C is for Computer. I spend most of my life sitting at my computer either caio-ing, ebay-ing, playing games or chatting to my friends...
Advantages: Depends on your view Disadvantages: None
...?Just cannot get away from the alphabet, can I?? Every work day it pops up somewhere.
It?s Sunday morning and I have just finished 2 hours of marking writing so I thought I would give my self a break and write a challenge for fun. I don?t think I have ever done one of these.
So the A-Z challenge must be for me, I do not know who set the challenge, so I cannot refer them to you.
A Must be for my husband and my son whose names both start with A.
My husband who is currently sprawled across the bed and complained that I had to get up to do my work! He is normally at work on Sunday mornings but he packed his job in yesterday. It had to end he was so unhappy.
The school work is finished for the weekend now so we can have some fun.
My son who will be 21 this year so it looks like a celebration. Ahh, I shall have to get...
Advantages: You can think of some good things on here... Disadvantages: Trouble thinking of some of them...
...I thought I would try this A-Z challenge as it seemed quite different?
A is for :
Alcohol. I love a good drink and have frequented many pubs over the years, my favourite is the German beer, Scholsser Alt. I also have a wine rack that I am filling up gradually if I can stop drinking it?
B is for :
Belgium. This is another one of my favourite places to visit, it has some wonderful architecture, lots of nice scenery, restaurants, cobbled streets, and pubs that serve up to 247 different varieties of beer. I still have a chocolate beer in my fridge..
C is for :
Canvey Island. This is my old hometown, it is based in Essex and used to be a very popular seaside resort in the 50's and 60's. There is a big sea wall around it because of the floods in 1953. There is quite a bit on the island and many people do not realise how big...
...So then, this is the A-Z in my world, things like, love and hate, here we go.
Aa is for ......
..... apples
I love apples they are soo yummy - granny smith's are the best all crunchy and sweet!
Bb is for .....
..... Breakfast
You should always eat breakfast, it's the main meal of the day - this morning I had warm weetabix with puree banana in - very yummy!
Cc is for .....
..... Cool water
This is what perfume I wear - it smells so nice!
Dd is for .....
..... Dime bars
These are soo yummy I eat them all the time - one of my favourite chocolate bars.
Ee is for .....
..... Elephants
I think elephants are...
...This is my challenge entry to think of my own A-Z listing.
A - Aston Villa
This is my football club that I have supported forever! David O'Leary is the best manager at Villa so far! Currently in the top 10 of the Premiership table. Finished 6th in the previous Premiership season, which I can only recall the best position ever from Aston Villa! Let's hope they can stay in the top 10 for the rest of the season.
B - Bed
My bed is very sleepable at night. I could just go to sleep for hours on it. Made me oversleep a few times when on college days. Also perfect storage space underneath for my old Official Playstation Magazines which have stop being issued now and also my collection of vinyl records.
C - Computer
My favourite thing. Use for college work, chatting and also to play games over the Internet. My favourite PC game so far...
Advantages: find out more about me Disadvantages: find out more about me!
...Ok! Time for me to take the plunge in the Ciao Café. I’ve enjoyed reading other people’s A-Zs, so here’s the A-Z of my life, and your chance to get to know me a bit better. Thanks to the people who have encouraged me to join in!
A – Anna, that’s me! I love my name, as it’s so simple and plain, everyone can say it, and everyone can spell it. Except apparently here in Derbyshire, where they assume it must be Hannah, as the two names are pronounced the same by the locals.
B – Breasts. I have had larger than average ones since I was 14. They are annoying, and interfere with my ability to run, sleep on my front, buy pretty bras or wear strappy tops. The other main B in my life was ballet. Until the arrival of the breasts, I took it very seriously and was considering dance as a career. Now I am limited to dancing round...
Advantages: It's time to open up to you guys! Disadvantages: There's not much to tell!
...So, here I am-suffering from my usual Sunday night insomnia. Girlfriend's asleep, and all normal people are as well! But I?m not. Can't sleep, won't sleep is my show. So, tonight, Matthew, I'm going to be..... Doing my A-Z!
So, here goes!
Air (French band). One the best things to come out of France since wine! And they also sound better when you're drunk (coincidence?). Went to see them once too. Was very drunk :-(
Beer. One of my loves. Corona goes down well, as does Stella (a.k.a the wife beater). Tennents, not so much, as the water it?s made from goes through the acropolis first of all, and the water is so impure it has to be stabilized with Epsom salts! Tennent's lager; the beer of your ancestors-Literally!
Coffee. I don't actually like the stuff, but I have a new job now where they give you it for free. So, I have to...
