Lighter front-drive models feel spry with any transmission, though CVT versions are lazy from a stop. Test 1.8T CVT sedan did 8.6 sec 0-60 mph; test V6 CVT Cabriolet did 7.8. Seamless CVT acts much like conventional automatic, but requires use of manual mode for best performance. Manual transmissions controlled by precise shifters. multipurpose paper

Advantages: less than 0.4p per sheet
Disadvantages: a wee bit thin

...great (mostly down to the printer of course, but the overall effect is quite impressive and that couldn't happen if the paper was very low quality). Previously I've used it in an inkjet and that was fine too. I also use the paper for making notes (i don't like lines!). It's pleasant to write on and at less than half a penny per sheet, you don't need to worry about keeping the words down. There's not much else I can think to write about this brand of plain paper. The slight giveaway of the 'thinness' of the paper loses it a star but for those of us who don't have the money to waste on expensive luxuries, this is a worthwhile purchase....

The Avery A4 Ofice Guillotine - at the cutting edge

Advantages: A reasonably-priced guillotine for the home or small office.
Disadvantages: The handle is rather heavy for the base.

Running a Used A4

Obviously the A4 was a superior car to these older cars, but having run the car for over 30,000 miles in 2 years I have been very pleased with it. My A4 was a 2001 model 2.0 sport. It was bought from an independent dealer with 72,000 miles recorded at 3 years old. The car had a full service history, although as a fleet car it hadn't enjoyed the care and attention a privately owned car might have. I paid £8,750 for the car, and ran it for just over 2 years as a daily commuting car, with twice-weekly motorway trips. The car has been used on holidays over the UK, and during the summer on a trip to the south of France and back. Review of Audi A4 2.0

Surprisingly good results from a very cheap paper

Advantages: Dirt cheap, at approx 8p per sheet, you can't go wrong.
Disadvantages: None that I know of

...I don't do a lot printing, but for anything other than general documents, I use this paper. Tesco's 180 gsm paper used to be my paper of choice, but this comes in a great deal cheaper. To give you an idea, PC World stock HP paper very similar to this that comes in at about £7 for 25 sheets, this paper from Sumvision can be had for about £2. So, HP paper from PC World works out at about 28p per sheet, this paper is about 8p per sheet. The package is a thin plastic bag, much like magazines are often in nowadays, with card inserts to protect the paper. The bag can be opened and resealed to ensure the paper doesn't dry or become contaminated. In comparison to the Tesco paper, and I would imagine, Epson or Kodak paper too, there is little to distinguish this paper from it's rivals. Only the purist is going to notice...

I?ve had my A4 for 16 months now and covered 25,000 miles of varying journeys from the 3,000 mile trip down to the South of France to the trip to the shops around the corner, and I?m still very happy with it. The brakes are strong, even if their abruptness takes some getting used to. Running a used A4 3.0 Quattro Saloon

Advantages: Performance, Build Quality, Reliability, and Practicality.
Disadvantages: Running costs may not suit all people.

...This is my second Audi A4, and I bought it on the strength of my experiences with my previous A4. My car is a 2002 model 3.0 Quattro Sport with the 6 speed manual ?box. I bought this car used with 55,000 miles on the clock 6 months ago, replacing my previous car, which had covered 107,000 miles. The key strengths of this car are much the same as the previous car, namely: Reliability, Build quality, Comfort, Practicality, and Driving Involvement. I bought this car, as I also wanted more performance, as well as a newer car with lower mileage. The 3.0 6-cylinder engine is wonderfully smooth and quiet in general driving, while under harder acceleration it provides a suitably sporting growl. Review of Audi A4 3.0

New Model A4 1.8T

Disadvantages: ummm, nope, still can't think of any

...Thought it was time for an update seeing as I've had the car for over 6 months... I'd always had a thing about Audis, I'd love an S6 but the budget won't stretch, so the A4 was an obvious choice. Looking at the range I had the choice of the entry-level 2.0 of the 1.8T in either 2 wheel drive or Quattro. Comparing the performance the 2.0 pushes out 130bhp with the 1.8T raising this to 150bhp, simple choice then. Comparing this with the 3 series, the 318 offers only 112bhp, with the 320 jumping upto 170bhp, though the new model increases capacity to 2.3 litres. After test driving both variants I decided on the 2 wheel drive, though the brochure gives the same 8.4sec 0-60 time, the 2 wheel drive seems quicker, probably as the Quattro has the power being put out to all 4 wheels. I must say though that the Quattro definitely has the edge...

...Here's my first ever review (again - sorry for posting it in the wrong section before!) I've had my 1998 Audi A4 1.8SE Auto 4 door for 4 months now and it still puts a smile on my face. Whether it's the solid 'thunk' of the doors closing, or the gorgeous tone of the superb 'Concert' stereo, the Audi continues to be a car I will never regret buying. I purchased privately from a family who had cherished the car - it came in superb condition, with low mileage, and a full Audi service history. The light green (Jasper Green) really looks great when I've thrown the sponge on it, and the standard 16" alloys do a good job of setting the car off. It's by no means a perfect car though. The rear legroom is really poor, and the boot openning isn't too clever either - I'd have had an Avant if I could have afforded one. The handling is...
