A7V333
Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, AMD board
Disadvantages: Socket A, so wont work with Intel cpu's
...I bought my ASUS A7V333 for £85 online. It boasted many modern features, a good BIOS, and the ability to add loads of RAM.
The ASUS motherboard costs a little less than some other motherboards, mainly because it is a Socked A board. This means that the only processors it can take are AMD Socket A processors like the Athlon 1800 that I have in mine.
The board boasts the standard 5 PCI slots for all your Modem and network cards, and has the newest AGP X4 AGP slot, meaning new cards like the nVidia GeForce 4 cards can run to their full capacity.
One nice little touch on the A7V333, is that in addition to a top of the range AMD Athlon XP2200+, you could also have 3GB of PC2700 333MHZ RAM. Unfortunately since 256megs of that RAM costs about £60, i work that out to be between £500 and £600 for 3 Gigs. Ive also seen 4 fan power slots...

Asus A7v333 review
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...I have an Asus A7V333 motherboard and as far as i can tell, i have had no issues with it at all. there are plenty of features, almost too many. it has a few problems, as it still uses old connections, like the AGP 4x slot, which makes it very difficult to upgrade the graphics card now. it also doesnt have sata. other than that, the motherboard is brilliant. it has 5 pci slots which were useful as i had a lot of cards. The other upgrade issue with this motherboard is that is is using an old socket type, Socket A, which makes it difficult to upgrade the processor and to find a better fan. i am also happy with the fact that it is an ATX board, so it has lots of space for upgrades, if you can find them.
This motherboard is great value for money and is a budget-board. probably good as a starter motherboard....

Cheap and Cheerful
Advantages: Low cost relaible integrated motherbaord
Disadvantages: DIP Switches and no support for DDR400
...I bought this board about 18 months ago to build a fairly cheap upgrade computer for a friend of mine they are a very basic user and so as most of the required devices are on-board e.g graphics / sound, this was a good choice for the price
On opening the box you are presented with the manual, a driver cd-rom, motherboard back plate, Asus Case sticker and the usual HDD and floppy cables. Oh yes did I mention the board too, nicely wrapped in an anti-static bag.
I suppose it's at this point that I should list some of the features:
333 MHz FSB
2GB Max Memory
VIA KM400 Chipset
Socket A - Athlon XP Support up to 2.25 GHz
USB 2.0
Integrated Graphics, LAN and Sound.
The A7V8X-MX SE is a good choice in my opinion, I have built numerous machines over the years and found this board very easy to work with as there is ample room...

Good performance for a good price
Advantages: Good Athlon Performance at a cheap price
Disadvantages: Lacking some features
...The Asus A7V333 cost me £80 over the internet.
It is a Socket A board, and will take AMD Duron (600 Mhz +) and AMD Athlon XP (XP1500 and beyond). I run an XP 2000 in mine.
The board comes with driver software and a few utilities. These mainly consist of monitoring utilities (eg you can monitor temperature, fan speed voltage etc).
The board runs on the VIA KT333 chipset. It has 3 slots for DDR RAM. If you use PC2100 RAM, it can take a maximum 3GB. If you use the faster PC2700 RAM, it can only take up to 2GB.
It has space for 5 PCI cards and an AGP graphics card. The AGP can run at a maximum 4x.
Other features include the usual legacy ports: 2 x PS/2 for keyboard and mouse, 2 x serial, 1 parallel. Also included are 4 USB 1.1 ports, with an additional 2 ports that take up a slot (instead of a PCI card) that can be used as...

Sony Walkman NWZ-B133B 1GB mp3 player Review.
Advantages: Solid buttons, small and good looking, quick USB charge, recording feature.
Disadvantages: Easy to damage front glass, USB charge makes it hard to use without access to PC.
...Today I'm going to write you about my experience with Sony Walkman NWZ-B133B (1GB) mp3 player.
First the look, it?s black with matt silver colour on the sides. The LCD screen makes the information look nice and easy to read. On front you can find 4 buttons, the famous Sony home button, play/pause, next track, previous track, on the sides you can find outstanding good quality hold switch, volume, bass and record button. There are no problems with these buttons, they are solid and long lasting. On front of mp3 there is some kind of glass or plastic that makes it looks good, and shiny, but in the same moment it's not solid and it breaks close to the edges, but taking good care of it will help to prevent that damage.
The battery is a Lithium ion it holds for long, the specs says it's 16 hours, but once I get about 20 hours of non...

Sleek and sexy, oh, oh, baby
Advantages: 266 FSB, 4 IDE's, RAID, XP Athlons
Disadvantages: Wont make beer.
.../ EIDE: This is the motherboard / hard drive interface protocol. This is what it should be.
Slots and ports:
---------------
5 x PCI slots: These are used for sound cards, TV cards, internal modem cards. Basically these slots are for cards and 5 are enough for most. (I use 3)
1 x processor - Socket A slot: This is where your processor goes. (“Socket A” is just the type of socket it is) (So old Socket 7 chips won’t work with this motherboard).
1 x AGP: These are a great idea. This is your dedicated Graphics slot. (Accelerated Graphics Port) You only need one.
4 x Memory - DIMM 184-PIN: These are your memory slots, the RAM we mentioned earlier. You only need to make sure you buy 184 pin RAM and the supported types with in this case is ECC and NP. You’ve got 4 slots so you can jam in 4 x 256MB ones, or 3...

Fast, cavernous storage and great value
Advantages: Fast, huge capacity, fantastic value
Disadvantages: Not as fast as other CF cards but then they are FAR more expensive
...With flash memory coming down in price all the time, it pays to at least think about getting more than you need right at this moment. As the capacity goes up, so do the picture and video resolutions in the devices that use this memory, and the need for even more space increases too. I needed to more space as I recently purchased a Digital SLR camera that takes 10 megapixel photos.
The Transcend 133X Compact Flash HIGH 16384 MB has a 16 Gigabyte capacity which seems cavernous to those 512MB and 1GB cards that were at the top of the food chain just a few years ago. It's also one of the cheapest 16GB CF cards around too, retailing for a credit crunch busting £23.65 inc VAT at time of writing - that's getting on for just £1 per Gigabyte!!!
16GB is, unsurprisingly, enough for quite a few photos. Once you've formatted the card ready...

A Great Tripod
Advantages: Great piece of equipment for great photos
Disadvantages: Sometimes can get blown about a little if the winds too strong
...I bought my Vanguard VT 133 about 2 years ago from a local camera shop that was closing down so I got this product brand new for about £15.99 when other shops where selling it at about £50.00 mark, some lower, some shops slightly higher. The tripod was bought not long after I had purchased my camera from the same shop.
The tripod is fully complete and has a quick release system and tilts in the direction you would want all with a nice hand controlled lever, which is very easy to use making this very convenient to use as a travelling companion Fully folded this tripod closes upto around 21 inches and is very light to carry around..
I have both a Nikon F65 35mm SLR and a Sharps Video camera,, also for a period had the used of a medium format camera from the college where I attend.. This tripod well suited all cameras used on this...
