Asus A7v333 review

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...I have an Asus A7V333 motherboard and as far as i can tell, i have had no issues with it at all. there are plenty of features, almost too many. it has a few problems, as it still uses old connections, like the AGP 4x slot, which makes it very difficult to upgrade the graphics card now. it also doesnt have sata. other than that, the motherboard is brilliant. it has 5 pci slots which were useful as i had a lot of cards. The other upgrade issue with this motherboard is that is is using an old socket type, Socket A, which makes it difficult to upgrade the processor and to find a better fan. i am also happy with the fact that it is an ATX board, so it has lots of space for upgrades, if you can find them. This motherboard is great value for money and is a budget-board. probably good as a starter motherboard....

Nokia E71

Advantages: Looks Great, battery life is excellent, email and wi fi functions
Disadvantages: no push email, menu graphics could look better

...I recently bought an iphone which as a phone I was really disappointed with. I wanted to find a phone, which could email and undertake business applications whilst still look cool when I pulled it out in a bar at the weekend. What can I say? The Nokia E71 is all of these things. It's a solid mobile phone that looks great and does all the things it says on the tin. If I had to be negative on some points, then it would be that the menu and graphics could be more modern in their appearance and email needs to be synchronized. However on the whole the phone is excellent If you're looking for a sharp looking phone that you can use for business that won't let you down, then buy the Nokia E75....

Cheap and Cheerful

Advantages: Low cost relaible integrated motherbaord
Disadvantages: DIP Switches and no support for DDR400

...I bought this board about 18 months ago to build a fairly cheap upgrade computer for a friend of mine they are a very basic user and so as most of the required devices are on-board e.g graphics / sound, this was a good choice for the price On opening the box you are presented with the manual, a driver cd-rom, motherboard back plate, Asus Case sticker and the usual HDD and floppy cables. Oh yes did I mention the board too, nicely wrapped in an anti-static bag. I suppose it's at this point that I should list some of the features: 333 MHz FSB 2GB Max Memory VIA KM400 Chipset Socket A - Athlon XP Support up to 2.25 GHz USB 2.0 Integrated Graphics, LAN and Sound. The A7V8X-MX SE is a good choice in my opinion, I have built numerous machines over the years and found this board very easy to work with as there is ample room...

Samsung E-magine

Advantages: Slim, light, easy to use, good sound system
Disadvantages: Poor quality camera, outdated

...After my Nokia 7373 broke, I should say after I broke it, but that's not something to go into now, I realised I was still paying for a £35 a month contract and getting no benefit so I went in search in a new phone. The problem is now when you buy a pay as you go phone that so many of them are network locked, so I knew I was far better off buying a phone on the right network. Better safe than sorry. I didn't think I was in any great rush to buy a phone but one lunchtime after a particularly bad morning at college, I decided to pop along to the local Tesco and have a look for a new phone. The choice was relatively limited but amongst the usual tat I noticed something that I quite liked. It was a Samsung E250. I had previously had the D500, about eighteen months ago, so I knew they were reliable, the menus were easy to use...

Nokia E90 Communicator

Advantages: Web zoom, flip history, mSD slot, GPS & 3.2mp camera
Disadvantages: Price, price, no speel chqr, price, startup time and price

...with my Garmin Nuvi, my aging Motorola C385, my palm tungsten-E and the £50 digital video camera I got from Ebuyer. They still do their jobs and even if I need to buy a new gadget bag to carry them all, there's still a lot of change left over from £350. Then again if I was offered this beauty as a free upgrade on my contract I would jump at the chance to own one. If only to tide me over until there is a genuine uber-gadget which ticks all of the boxes for me. At the moment I haven't found anything which comes closer but I am always looking. Edit 31/7/08 I've now had some time to get to grips with this gizmo and I have to say it's a bit hit & miss. I transferred my contacts from my sim card (or at least I thought I had) only to discover them missing the first time I tried to text my brother. Well at least now I'm sure I...

Samsung E250

Advantages: Planner
Disadvantages: Memory card needed

...The Samsung E250 is a bit of a let down to my other phone which broke and I have had a lot of phones but the reasons why it is a good phone are shown below along with a few bad points but every phone has bad points this one has an advantage to other phones. The fact that it is a slide phone mean that it is helpful for calls all you have to do is just have slide it up and the call is answered. The phone has good reception, which is good because the majority of phones have poor reception. If you want a phone the better the reception the better the phone actually is. The phones colour is great and has some depth to it. I have owned many phones and this one is the best by far for colour. The phone has a VGA camera which is ok for videos and pictures the effects that the edit section has are brilliant it allows you to add clipart, frames...

Extraodinaril-E cute! (film only)

Advantages: lovable character, well-told story, great animation
Disadvantages: slightly heavy environmenal message

...Welcome to our not-so-very-distant future. Earth has finally been overrun with our rubbish, and mankind has taken to the stars - a cruise, say the advertisements, a pleasure holiday, while back on Earth robots will clean up the mess in time for our return. Fast forward 700 years, and Earth's rubbish problem has yet to go away. Worse, the cleaning robots left behind have all succumbed to time - all bar one. Meet Wall-E: the last Waste Allocation Load Lifter (Earth-class) left on the planet. The film's opening scenes show us Wall-E's life, of collecting rubbish from the giant mounds, compressing it, and building sky-scraper-sized towers out of it. The sheer scale of the problem, of the desolation of the one city we get to see, is quite gob-smacking. In fact, the opening 15 minutes had the entire audience glued in silence to...

Nokia E51 White Steel

Advantages: compact small size, connectivity, multimedia
Disadvantages: 2Mpix camera, 2.5mm jack, memory card under back cover

...every number of each contact as a separate entry. 5) Searching in the contacts list doesn't make sense, as when starting to type a name it shows all contacts whose both first or last name (i wonder what would happen had I saved middle names to contacts, too...) contain such characters and that is a mess. I don't understand why the search function doesn't correspond with the way the contacts are sorted, e.i. by the first or last name? 6) The call log is cleared after switching the phone off and on. 7) Nokia claims this phone can do videocalls (see http://www.nokia.cz/A4678225 or http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4577123). The phone only has one camera, so I would like to know how am I expected to make videocalls with it? Further, I think it's a pity the camera is of such a low quality and here I'm not talking about megapixel range but...
