You'll need to be a die hard AC/DC fan to like it

Advantages: Play and sing along to a band that truly defined rock music.
Disadvantages: An expensive add-on for an already expensive game. Wii version lacks features.

...Taking its inspiration from the earlier Singstar and Guitar Hero, Rock Band was one of the most successful playalong games of the past couple of years. Where previous games let you do vocals and guitar respectively, Rock Band lets you do both and you can have a go on the drums too. It's a ludicrously expensive game if you want to get the most out of it. A full set of instruments costs around £90, and the game another £30; you could almost buy an Xbox 360 for that, and you might well want to given that the Wii version is rather cut down. Given that the more recent editions of Guitar Hero offer a similar experience, with mutually incompatible equipment, it can be an expensive business if you're into these kinds of games. AC/DC don't need much of an introduction, being one of the defining bands or heavy rock that have sold hundreds...

Advantages: Rocking / Classic / Timeless

Time for some AC/DC

Advantages: Good comeback! Certain tracks have brillaint lyrics and vocals.
Disadvantages: 2 songs sound the same, and more of blues

...'s 50! At least he's listenable again! The third reason is that the production is by George Young and it's pretty awesome. Maybe not quite as distorted and headsmashing as their peak work, but full of great energy, separation, volume and even the drums sound great. Its the kind of album that could honestly win back AC/DC all the fans that they lost when Bon passed away. AC/DC rocks Stiff Upper Lip

Advantages: Like that base feeling in your gut
Disadvantages: mild deafness after a concert

AC/DC "Back In Black"

Advantages: Completely flawless
Disadvantages: Not long enough!

...This is one of the all-time classic heavy metal albums and every home should own a copy. From the opening peals of "Hells Bells" to "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", this album rocks. The album was recorded following the death of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson proves he is a worthy replacement. There isn't a poor song on this album. Angus's guitar playing is as tight as ever, and the lyrical content as amusing and schoolboyish as only AC/DC can produce. Given the timing of Bon's death, it is little short of a miracle that an album of this quality was produced. If you can only afford one AC/DC album (in which case steal the others), this is the one!...

Powerage-best AC DC album

Advantages: AC DC, Angus Young, Bonn Scott, faultless songs and performance
Disadvantages: no more Bonn Scott

...I first got into AC DC when i was 10 years old, My schoolmate found out about them and I heard them through him. The first song I heard was Rock and roll ain noise pollution, and i was instantly hooked. It wasn't until I was about 16 or 17 years old that I appreciated how good the bands music was when Bon Scott was the lead singer. His lyrics are funny, sharp and true rock and roll. The songs and the production had a much rawer, live sound about them, with any small playing mistakes just left in. My favourite album is definately Powerage. A faultless album, the pinnacle being "Down Payment Blues", pumping rythmn, driving guitar, superb lyrics, performed by a band who were playing just for the music. I can't fault it....

I am suprised that this is the first review of AC/DC, maybe other's have tried and failed? who knows, but what I do know is that AC/DC deserve a 5star rating on this website. They have stuck to a tried and tested formula. Similiar rythyms and melodic patterns, catchy riffs and memorable title's such as "Highway to Hell" (1979) and "Sink The Pink" (1986). Though the music is clear and cut, catchy and memorable, this has happened over the last thirty years, and over the last thirty years the band's line up has changed considerably.
