...This is one of the all-time classic heavy metal albums and every home should own a copy. From the opening peals of "Hells Bells" to "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", this album rocks. The album was recorded following the death of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson proves he is a worthy replacement. There isn't a poor song on this album. Angus's guitar playing is as tight as ever, and the lyrical content as amusing and schoolboyish as only AC/DC can produce. Given the timing of Bon's death, it is little short of a miracle that an album of this quality was produced. ...The razors edge is a prime example of epic AC/DC: all killer riffs and tough - as - nails song craft. Nor is there any lack of the lads' signature, slyly salacious lyrics touching on the eternal verities: hard liquor, cheap sex, fast money and the endless quest for a good time. Like all AC/DC albums, the razors edge is designed to rock you. But beyond that, the 1990 release marked a pivotal point in the long and eventful career of rock's most enduring riot brigade. Rock was running rudderless at the dawn of the nineties. Hair metal was on the wane. Punk was just a memory, and still years away from revival as a commercial formula. ..."Can I Sit Next To You Girl / Rockin’ In The Parlour" was released in February 1974. Ever since that, and 22 albums later, AC/DC are still going strong amongst a modern, younger, and more demanding audience. I am suprised that this is the first review of AC/DC, maybe other's have tried and failed? who knows, but what I do know is that AC/DC deserve a 5star rating on this website. They have stuck to a tried and tested formula. Similiar rythyms and melodic patterns, catchy riffs and memorable title's such as "Highway to Hell" (1979) and "Sink The Pink" (1986). Though the music is clear and cut, catchy and memorable, this has happened over the last thirty years, and over the last thirty years the band's line up has changed considerably.
