Advantages: I can manage my life and work through Access!
Disadvantages: Its really hard to get used to, patience required!

...I have never been a fan of Microsoft Access; in fact for a while I absolutely hated it. Most people I have spoken to have thought MS Access was a waste of time. I have recently taken on the role of ECDL tutor and ITQ assessor. I am therefore responsible for teaching the program to new learners but also assessing them on their use of IT which means I have to be pretty competent with many applications including MS Access (Database). I started learning about databases by trying to remember the names of everything, buts it not until you really get going that you can discover and learn new things. The Amstrad e-mailer Plus

Advantages: Stylish and ideal for the gadget fan.
Disadvantages: Costly, invasive and of late, a downright joke.

With that one monthly charge you can access all the gaming you want including instant messaging and a whole world of things you may wish to use. I bought my Amstrad e-mailer Plus because I like gadgets. However, to stop the dial-outs(and they are usually at night) I unplug my phone from the wall. As i have a phone in my bedroom, it doesn't matter if the phone downstairs doesn't ring when i'm in bed as I don't need it too ring. There is a gadget you can buy, (I'm sure I've seen it in Focus Do It All) which plugs into the telephone socket. WG602 54 Mbps Wireless Access Point

Advantages: Good features, repeater and bridging modes

...Here's the story. I have an existing wireless network. The access point is in the office in the loft. I have a laptop I wander around with (as you do) and there is a PC on the ground floor. On a good day with a strong wind, the downstairs PC gets a weak to medium connection. All too often though it is intermittent or fails completely. Web browsing is quirky and the whole experience is less than satisfactory. The bottom line is that despite being well within the theoretical range for wireless devices, there are just too many walls, floors and sundry other obstacles getting in the way. There are several things you can do do improve the signal but most are more suited to open spaces. One option that would help in this situation is to use a pair of access points in repeater mode. There is usually a message on the screen such as 'To go back press STOP' explaining any buttons which are not obvious. The internet is basic and is similar to the internet you can use on a mobile phone. You can use it to check news, weather, entertainment etc... but don't expect much more. Videos, animations etc do not show up. Other features on the phone include gaming, video calling and SMS messaging - I have no interest in these so cannot comment on said features.
