Advantages: Extraordinary current account,if you can get one
Disadvantages: False claims that anyone can bank with them with out their past credit history being dragged up,staff that give false information,computers that are offline when needed.

Advantages: Good rates and great for internet usage. Excellent card when abroad.
Disadvantages: Slow to respond to internal e-mails.

...Why I chose the One Account I started to look at changing my Mortgage a couple of years ago as I was stuck on a fixed interest rate of 6% and felt I could do a lot better. I had recently bought the house so did not have a huge amount of disposable income and had a very small savings pot (no more than £1000). Nationwide flex account

Advantages: Great for foreign travel

...on holiday I just transfer some spending money into my flex account. In my most recent trip abroad I was getting an exchange rate of 1.26 euros to the British pound from the Nationwide with no withdrawal fee. So 200 euros cost £148 with my Nationwide debit card. Just to 'test' the difference with my main bank account, I made the same transaction immediately afterwards - the exchange tare was £1.21 so the cost to exchange was £158 and it also incurred a charge of £1.50 for the transaction - so all in all it cost £11.50 more with my usual bank!! An expensive 'test'!! I also used the card to buy goods and pay for meals in restaurants etc...all with a good exchange rate and no fees.... It was simple to open a Nationwide Flex account.
