iRiver H340…Much Better Than An iPod!
Review of IRiver H340 40 GB by
Deru
Advantages: 40GB storage, Supports various audio formats, Colour LCD screen, 12 hour battery life for audio, watch AVI movies, Includes lots of accessories
Disadvantages: Bit on the pricey side, Slow boot up, Only AVI supported, small screen, A bit chunky, movies not as smooth
...The iRiver H340 Multi-Codec Jukebox, which is basically something like an iPod but with a difference. It has built-in FM Tuner and you can watch movies on it!
• • • WHY DID I BUY IT? • • •
This seems to be the age of the iPods but I’m not a fan of the iPod because of the battery life and because everyone’s got one. It’s a fashion statement. You’re walking down the street, you see people with the white earphones and they’re everywhere! I thought the storage space was impressive and they look pretty good but that’s all. (Sorry iPod fans). My friend bought an iRiver and told me about it. He told me it could play MP3’s and even movies. I looked it up, and read a review about it, after that, I had to get one!
• • • WHAT WERE MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS? • • •
The player fits nicely in my hand. It looks good but it’s bulkier than its 40...

Canon PC D340
Review of Canon D340 by
dante04col
Advantages: fast printer, high quality
Disadvantages: takes up lots of room
...Versatility is a nice feature to start with when evaluating desktop copiers. For a small office, a versatile copier can grow with you and meet your changing needs. For a busy office, a versatile copier can give employees the tools they need to complete a task.
The Canon PC D340 brings great versatility to the office setting, along with a host of high-end features. The D340's laser output is outstanding, and it can create copies at speeds of up to 15 pages per minute. You can resize the copies at 1-percent increments between 50 percent and 200 percent.
The D340 can double as a digital printer for your PC, too, giving you some added versatility. The D340's large footprint (about 21.4 inches by 17.6 inches) could cause some problems in a cramped office space, but once you see all of the D340's features, you might want to clear...

340R - Go Kart with Style
Review of Lotus Elise 340R by
Kimpalmer
Advantages: Pure driving pleasure
Disadvantages: No roof, doors - not the most practical car in the world!
...It is terribly unfortunate that I don't own one of these amazing cars. however I have had the pleasure of using one on some rather good roads in Warwickshire. I loved it so much that I need to post a comment on Ciao.
The 340r is a thoroughbread Elise, it is the Elise with out the finesse - it is just a totally pure drivers car.
I love the looks, but many don't, it is often compared to a dune buggy. No doors is probably the first thing you notice. Who needs doors? it is not part of the driving experience, so it doesn't need them. The first task is to clamber over the sills housing the really cool translucent panels. Sitting in the sports seats on the floor, you realise just how low you are actually sitting. Flick the key in the ignition, and a beautiful tuned 1.8l Rover K series engine splutters into life. The car I took out had...

My C340
Review of Kodak EasyShare C340 by
oddsocksjamie
Advantages: Excellent Features
Disadvantages: Battery life short
...I ordered my Kodak C340 off good old ebay for £72.50! I was impressed with the camera as it is quite small for a camera with its features - 5 MP, 3x Opitical Zoom etc.
It feels like a real sturdy bit of kit with the kodak mark on it and feels like a classic as soon as you try it out! The first few shots i have taken have been around my home and their quality has been excellent, sharp, colourful, and defined! But after about 20 shots my normal aa batteries died! I thought that this might be a problem so i decieded to try a set of uniross 2100amh batteries that are recharble - these have lasted me until i am writing this review - and hopefully far beyond!
The camera takes about 190 shots on a 256mb sd card but also can accept mmc cards.
Another feature is the direct link up with printers with PictBridge - i tried this on my hp psc...

Nad C340 Amplifier
Review of NAD C340 by
Kel1981
Advantages: Bags of power, build quality, sound quality
Disadvantages: Bland styling
...I purchased this amp 6 years ago for £270 along with the Arcam Alpha 7SE and a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers.
As the C320's bigger brother, the C340 comes with the same impedance-sensing circuitry and an extra 10 watts of power on tap. So basically this amp will run any pair of speakers under a grand with minimal effort.
Its not a looker this one, all the money is spent on the internals. No fancy lights or polished aluminium here, but the build quality is exellent, its built like a battleship and shares the same dull gray colour as one. A remote is included with all basic functions but you cant switch the unit on or off from it.
If you can put up with dull styling in return for the sound quality you get with from the C340 your in for a treat. It has a spacious, open soundstage and great stereo imaging. You can place individual...

Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - 15.4" TFT
Review of Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36 - 15.4" TFT by
maggot13
Advantages: cheap, good quality laptop with decent features, upgradable.
Disadvantages: no bluetooth. memory will need upgrading if moving on to Windows Vista
...First off what an easy to use laptop full of built in features for a very reasonable price ( £349.99 upwards) was £380 when i purchased mine but is worth every penny. Why people pay in excess of £500 for machines with a lower spec is beyond me. Acer have come a long way in providing great quality laptops at a lower price.
on first run you follow the setup options and then it recommends you create a restore disc i did this using 2 blank dvd's with ease just following the on screen instructions. once this was complete i did the windows updates to get it fully upto date.
The inbuilt wireless adapter (Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter) connects so easy to my wireless network with a reasonable range even in the garden. The 15.4" WXGA wide CrystalBrite TFT LCD Display is just as good as its name suggests (crystal) it displays...

Overall pretty good
Review of Acer TravelMate 2303WLMi - Celeron M 340 1.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
bonsy
Advantages: great large wide screen with smart design
Disadvantages: the wireless and bluetooth keys could have been put in a better place
...I've used several acer laptops, the aspire 1350, travelmate 220/230 and the 290e. Out of all of these I have to admit I prefer the travelmate 2300.
SPEC
celeron m 1.5ghz
256Mb
40Gb
15.4inch TFT
Integrateed Wirelss LAN
Windows SP Professional
DVD/CD RW
The screen is a massive 15.4", which if you want to pop a DVD in is great for sitting back and watching a movie. Especially if your sat on a train for over an hour.
The battery should last about 3.5 hours. One thing I have noticed is that when the power adaptor is plugged in the screen does appear to be brighter than if your running off battery, but that may just be down to a setting you can change, although I've not found it as yet.
The inbuilt wireless is great, no need for sticking out wireless cards, it's all hidden away. Except for a little light button...

Good basic laptop
Review of Acer TravelMate 2303LCi - Celeron M 340 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
Tegteg
Advantages: Does basic tasks well
Disadvantages: Limited expansion ports
...I bought the Acer TravelMate 2303LC in Nov 2004, which is the same as this model but only has a 30GB HD. I purchased from Comet for £500 with £50 free vouchers at the time.
This is the first laptop I have owned, usually having desktops or borrowed work laptops, and was impressed with how small and light it is. Previous laptops I have used have been quite thick and clunky but this very small and thin. I can use it on my lap quite easily and is well balanced. It is a little wide because of the 15" screen, but this means it is easier to read than Acers with 14" screens. It's a trade-off I am happy with.
I had no problems with set-up. No probelms with drivers or the blue screen of death, it worked perfectly from day one. The keyboard layout is nice and spaced out because of the extra case width. The screen is good, the display does...
