Acer Aspire 5738G-644G50MN
Advantages: Bright screen,Huge memory
Disadvantages: Odd Glossy finish, annoying mouse button
...A bright 15.4 inch screen, huge hard disk, and seemingly unlimited levels of memory make this a great home laptop, this to me seems where it is best suited rather than as a business notebook. Its reasonable if not good price make this centrino laptop a very good choice.
- Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit, Sp1)
- Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.00GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 15.4? HD Acer CineCrystal LED LCD
- 4GB DDR3 Memory
- 1244 MB Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
- 250 GB Hard Drive
- DVD SuperMultiDl with BluRay disc drive
- 0.3 megapixel integrated webcam
- Purchased from PC World £450
Build:
While i wouldn't say its likely to fall apart, this laptop isn't one i would fancy dropping down the stairs. After days the incredibly glossy rear screen was scratched and lead me to buying...

Acer Aspire One = Number 1!
Advantages: Small, light, comparativley powerful
Disadvantages: No external DVD drive provided. Protective sleeve
...I purchased this laptop for my wife to do do her training work on, also she didn't want to carry my luggable!
We went for the 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD Linux model in Blue for about £250.
Out of the box its a good looking machine, the glossy blue finish is nice, but instantly prone to fingerprint marks. It feels well built and durable.
I comes with what some would call a protective sleeve, in a way it does protect but really all it protects is from dirt, it wouldn't protect it from any knocks or drops.
The Linux Operating System is in my opinion VERY basic and highly kneecapped compared to what Linux can be, although there are guides on the internet to unlock more of its potential.
But having said that it is also very easy to use. Personally she tried it but didn't like it having be bought up on Micro$oft like most people, so i ended...

Aspiring to be inspiring! Is this another Ace Acer?
Advantages: SUPERB battery life, relatively portable and very slim.
Disadvantages: For basic and general business use, not games.
...Here we have a very mixed laptop in terms of its features and abilities.
Firstly, I want to make clear that the Acer Aspire 4810T is a laptop to consider for business use, or non-graphics-intensive applications such as Word, Excel and standard internet browsing.
If you are expecting to be able to play the latest video games and run graphics designer packages, then you'd be better off looking at other laptops with better stats than this one.
What it does have in its favour is an increased battery life of around 7 hours, possibly as much as 8 - and a very slim and portable design with a gorgeous 14" screen.
It is in a word SEXY!
Yes, I would consider dating this laptop.
If it were a person.
Which it isn't.
One can dream!
Um, I'm getting sidetracked.......
Hard drive
--------------
There is a very reasonable 250GB...

Acer plays the Ace card again!
Advantages: Small, lightweight, great performer. Can handle some 3D games.
Disadvantages: None for the Netbook, but Linux version is rubbish.
..., well it's entirely up to you. The memory just now is cheap but the procedure and the way the current memory is installed may put you off. Although 1GB is installed, its actually 2 x 512 MB. One chip is installed in the only slot and the other is permanently soldered to the board. The maximum memory supported in the slot is 1 GB. So the maximum memory would be 1.5 GB. The process of installing more memory isn't as easy as a conventional laptop as you have to take the keyboard off and remove the hard drive. There are many videos on Youtube showing this. Is it worth all the hassle for only 512 MB while in the process wasting another 512 MB? That would be up to you.
In Conclusion
For a portable netbook the Acer A150 performs very well and should rightfully always be regarded as a netbook. Other reviews seem to slate its performance...

Aspire 5536G the new product from Acer
Advantages: 15.6" HD screen, good audio quality, price.
Disadvantages: short battery life, temperature
...Acer decided to add an extra Aspire Gemstone Blue model laptop. I was lucky to get a hold of him as my friend purchased it, and I was using it for a while, he asked me to install some software and configure his Vista so the notebook going to work properly.
The first touch was a surprise I expected it?s going to weight more than 2.8 kg, it?s a really light notebook, and thanks to its glossy sapphire-blue Gemstone cover and intricately textured palmrest it?s a pleasure to touch it.
I opened it and, I have thought nothing new inside, which is actually good because you don?t need to get used to some new type of using it. The screen is 15.6?, it?s really sharp and it?s a pleasure to work with it, the eyes don?t get tired thanks to high definition CineCrystal screen that Acer installed in this notebook. The buttons are quiet, which for me is...

Acer Aspire 6935G
Advantages: Great look, tv - tuner, great to use, competitive price.
Disadvantages: Off-centre keyboard, less than average battery life.
...I don?t know if you can be a fan of a computer company, but if you can, then I?m an Acer fan (and accidental poet). This laptop is a fine addition to an excellent range.
Look
Lightweight, futuristic, classy and sporting a few unique features, such as an interesting shaped space bar and, for seemingly no reason, an off-centre keyboard, this didn?t bother me that much, but it may be something to consider when buying it. The Acer Aspire 6935G definitely pulls off a look of its own. It is a reasonable size for a laptop and quite ergonomically designed.
Function
It comes with everything you?d expect from a laptop as well as an in-built TV tuner complete with attached remote control. The keyboard, despite being off-centre was well-built and features a standard QWERTY layout; it comes with a reasonably sized and sensitive...

Be inspired by the Acer Aspire One A110
Advantages: Price, size, speed
Disadvantages: None so far
...--Background--
My wife has always moaned that she could never get onto the family PC as it was always being used by either my kids or myself. After doing a bit of research, she convinced me to buy her the Acer Aspire One netbook which she would use for web browsing and writing simple documents. I was a bit sceptical of the device, after all, to me it was just a cheap laptop. But, alas, she won and off I went to Currys armed with my credit card to begrudingly buy her one.
--In the box--
The box in which the Aspire comes is very small. You'd be able to fit it under your arm and carry it no problem. As well as the netbook, there was a mains battery charger, a user manual and a recovery cd which I thought was strange considering there isnt a cd driver in the netbook!!
--Initial Setup--
I must admit I found this impressive...

Acer Aspire X3200, the Office Media PC
Advantages: Tri - Core, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, HDMI Port, eSATA port, Media Card Readre and 9 USB Ports
Disadvantages: Not a lot of room in the case, and not the greatist HTPC
...Right off I would like to say that the Acer Aspire X3200 is a great little HTPS (Home Theatre PC) and very good value for money. Now for the techno ? babble:
The Acer Aspire X3200 is powered by a Tri ? Core processer, instead of the Dual ? Core processers found in the earlier and most there HTPC?s in this price range. It is considerably smaller and has a very basic design. Far from making it dull and not very interesting, this feature allows it too suitably blend with most environments, sitting comfortably next to your DVD player and stereo right there in your living room. It also has a HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port which allows you to connect directly into your HDTV (High Definition TV).This appears to be an added extra which is absent in the other HTPC?s of its range, as has the eSATA port. This port allows you to...
