Advantages: Quick. Plenty of file space. Quiet. User friendly.
Disadvantages: Generally comes with Vista which I dont think is the best Microsoft product, but visually pleasing

My Aspire Review

Advantages: Playing Games, and Browsing the Internet, Built in Wifi..
Disadvantages: Slow when loading multi Programs,

...I got this for a christmas present, after my old Laptop got broke. Acer are quite a good company, and sell quite a lot of good laptops and this Aspire 5315 is idel for someone who just want's to use Microsoft Office or browse the internet. But if your looking to chat away on msn, listen to music and browse the Internet all at the same time. I would strongly recomend going for a bigger and better laptop. Don't get me wrong this Aspire 5315 does do well playing games such as Rollercoaster Tycoon and Counter Strike.. Now let's move onto the Keyboard. The keys on the keyboard are not that very well placed onto the laptop. As I had accidently dropped my phone onto the keyboard when 1 letter had come out, and was unable to place back in. The 15.4 LCD Screen is awesome, for watching widescreen movies and playing those really cool games...

After doing a bit of research, she convinced me to buy her the Acer Aspire One netbook which she would use for web browsing and writing simple documents. I was a bit sceptical of the device, after all, to me it was just a cheap laptop. But, alas, she won and off I went to Currys armed with my credit card to begrudingly buy her one. --In the box-- The box in which the Aspire comes is very small. You'd be able to fit it under your arm and carry it no problem. As well as the netbook, there was a mains battery charger, a user manual and a recovery cd which I thought was strange considering there isnt a cd driver in the netbook!! --Initial Setup-- I must admit I found this impressive...

Aspiring to be inspiring! Is this another Ace Acer?

Advantages: SUPERB battery life, relatively portable and very slim.
Disadvantages: For basic and general business use, not games.

...Here we have a very mixed laptop in terms of its features and abilities. Firstly, I want to make clear that the Acer Aspire 4810T is a laptop to consider for business use, or non-graphics-intensive applications such as Word, Excel and standard internet browsing. If you are expecting to be able to play the latest video games and run graphics designer packages, then you'd be better off looking at other laptops with better stats than this one. What it does have in its favour is an increased battery life of around 7 hours, possibly as much as 8 - and a very slim and portable design with a gorgeous 14" screen. It is in a word SEXY! Yes, I would consider dating this laptop. If it were a person. Which it isn't. One can dream! Um, I'm getting sidetracked....... Hard drive -------------- There is a very reasonable 250GB...

Advantages: Fast and ultra portable
Disadvantages: There is no disadvantage to owning this computer

...I own the 8GB linux version in white. It is cute and compact with a glossy finish. The Aspire One running linux is surprisingly fast considering its 512MB of ram. It is perfect for wirelessly browsing the web using fire fox. The keyboard is just short of full size making it the perfect tool for typing an e-mail or essay whilst out and about. The open office documents can be saved as word, powerpoint or excel documents so they are microsoft compatible. I chose the 8GB version for the increased durability, I have not yet filled the hard drive but when I do there is a storage expansion slot which will take an SD card. The Aspire one is a great little computer well worth its small price tag...
