Reviews of acer aspire battery
Acer Aspire 5051AWXMi
Review of Acer Aspire 5051AWXMi - Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
verdos
Advantages: Price, Features, speed, good display and solid buld
Disadvantages: Very poor battery life
...For the price this is a great feature packed product only let down by poor battery life, approx 1 hour running Windows XP or 45 minutes on Vista (with power saving options on, and yes we did take it up with Acer who said it was normal) . Needless to say we are using XP. The display is sharp and clear whilst and case is durable with a good feel keyboard (better than the Toshiba we use which cost a great deal more). The processor speed is good, it can handle a number of applications, curently running a virus check whilst writting this with no slowdown or breaks.
All in All this is a cracking piece of kit for the price only let down by poor battery life which in this day and age is not good and is the reason for only 3 *....

Acer Aspire 5612WLMi: Media Centre Edition
Review of Acer Aspire 5612WLMi - Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
jackcurran
Advantages: Low price, fast perfomance, good battery life
Disadvantages: FAT32 disc formatting,
...have invested in seperate speakers so I can play my music at a greater volume.
Battery Life
I have found that when using the laptop for light use such as word processing the battery can last for over 4 hours . When viewing a DVD and running off batteries the run time is reduced and due to the extra brightness needed for the screen the max run time comes in around the 2 and a half hour mark.
Overall the Acer Aspire 5612 is fabulous deal, I bought my online in October 2006 for less than £650 and considering the specification and the quality of Acer I found this amazing....

Hot laptop, literally...
Review of Acer Aspire 3102WLMi - Mobile Sempron 3200+ - 15.4" TFT by
urbanninja
Advantages: Bright display, acer arcade, integrated web cam
Disadvantages: overheats a lot, short battery life
...The first thing I have to shout about is the screen quality it is amazing! I don't know what Acer CrystalBrite is, but the quality is great! Moving on the main features of this laptop are the firstly the fairly good webcam that is just above the screen and it spins so you can either view yourself or behind the laptop. Secondly the Acer Arcade is an awesome feature which sorts all your media files (video/audio/images). This means that all your media is in one place therefore allowing ease of access.
The biggest problem about this laptop is overheating, it enjoys giving you a hot leg, at times it has heated to such a temperature that the auto power cut off has to kick in and the laptop just turns off! The second problem is the battery life is not great, it will only last a reasonable amount of time if the settings such as processor speed...

Acer Aspire 1603LC
Review of Acer Aspire 1603LC - P4 2.6 GHz - 15" TFT by
zfdesign
Advantages: Great performer, quality build, excellent value
Disadvantages: a bit old now, lack of WiFi
...Hello everyone,
I have have had one of these 1603LC Aspire Laptop since new. Purchased from Dabs.com and I have been extreemly happy with it. Performance wise it has never let me down for the past 3-4 years of service. I still believe it handles very well as I have a new HP Desktop and performance of the laptop has not given up, not far behind and even better than some Vista ones I know.
The quality of build is high. None of the parts have shown any defects or stopped working of whatever reason. Well just the battery packed up after me carelessly leaving it fully discharged for a couple of weeks (may have been longer), and of course a significant drop of performance since.
So as an advise, never leave your laptop battery discharged! They are best preserved when fully charged as I find out latter... to late.
Even that nowadays...

Acer Aspire
Review of Acer Aspire 5715Z-2A2G08Mi - Pentium Dual Core T2330 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
zrblue
Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: None
...The Acer Aspire 5715Z is my 5th laptop computer and ive owned it since new for roughly six months and so far i can honestly give it a thumbs up.
It comes with alot of features as standard, which includes a built in webcam featuring Crystal Eye Technology (Just means the picture is sharper) and a Crystal Brite LCD screen which is very bright and sharp. This acer was much cheaper than its rivals with similar features and spec.
So far its been lightning fast in its processing speeds and quality, and i think is has only froze once. Reliability is awesome both internally and externally. Its a very hard wearing laptop when compared with my previous laptops from the likes of Sony, Dell, Compaq and Toshiba. Ease of use is a no brainer, with buttong for wireless on/off, internet access, volume, brightness etc all easily visable on the keyboard...

Bad laptop or just unlucky
Review of Acer Aspire 1362WLC - Mobile Sempron 2800+ 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
susangoodfellow
Advantages: Large screen
Disadvantages: Dies regularly
...When I moved to a smaller house I decided to buy a laptop because there really was not room for my pc.
This seemed a good deal at the time, nearly 3 years ago. I paid a total of £600 including a 3 year guarantee.
Three years later it has failed four times, each time it was returned to Acer and took at least 2 weeks to be returned. They replaced the motherboard every time.
The last time was a month ago, it came back with the battery dead and a diagnostic cd left in the drive.
I have to say that when it was working it was fine and the large 15.4" screen is great.
Unfortunately my idea of using it as a replacement pc did not work out due to the impossibility of playing any game needing good graphics due to the integrated graphics chip.
The appearance is quite good (from a distance) and when I saw in on the net I thought it was metal...

My lovely laptop!
Review of Acer aspire 5315 by
charlotte_thomas
Advantages: easy to set-up and use, lots of useful features
Disadvantages: weight, shiny screen!
...Acer Aspire 5315
I got my acer 5315 as part of a deal from the carphone warehouse with a mobile phone contract, so i won't say it was free because I have an 18 month contract to pay for, but it was a really good deal!! Having shopped around a bit they cost around £270-£300 to buy. I'm no computer whizz and just wanted a reliable laptop to do my work and access the internet on, this is ideal. I had never heard of acer until my boyfriend got one of their laptops last year and i've been using his since, so am now familiar with the brand and like it.
This particular model has a 15.4'' CrystalBrite LCD glossy screen, the outer casing is all black with the acer logo in silver in the middle. The screen surround is black and the keyboard is pale grey. The keyboard has quick keys at the top for WLAN settings and volume. It also features...

ACER ASPIRE 1502LMI
Review of Acer Aspire 1502LMI - Athlon 64 3200+ 2 GHz - 15" TFT by
gregwych
Advantages: Looks, Memory, Big Hard drive, Price
Disadvantages: Weight, DVD RW speed
...Bought this laptop to replace my ACER Aspire 1315 and I was really impressed with the new modern design. Looks great.
The RAM is 512Mb and the hard drive is 60Gig. Mine was partitioned into two drives one is 45 gig the other is 15 gig. Both these are quite big for a laptop, especially a laptop for this price.
The battery life is good, i average about 2 hours but this obviously depends on whether i am playing games, burning discs or just on the net.
It has a 3 in one memory card reader, which reads SD and multimedia memory cards. I have used the multimedia card slot to put music onto my Nokia phone, and i must say it is very simple to use.
I also used the wireless LAN infered with my nokia phone and i found this to work well and very simple.
The four USB-2 ports is brilliant especially if you use lots of USB components as i do...

acer 9301
Review of Acer Aspire 9301WSMi - Turion 64 X2 TL-52 1.6 GHz - 17" TFT by
vonney1967
Advantages: Built in camera and wifi enabled
Disadvantages: Not the lightest laptop available
...I recently purchased the acer aspire 9301 and so far i have been very impressed with my shiny new gadget. I picked out this model as after trying other ones that were available including the more expensive sony viao i decided that by buying the viao i wouldnt be gaining anything just wasting money on a fashion accesory. The Acer offers everything that you could possibly want and more and comes with a much more modest price tag.
BASIC DESCRIPTION
The 9301 certainly looks the part with its sleek silver and black exterior shell, 17 inch crysral brite tft display screen and a fabulous built in camera which swivels 225 degrees which allows the user to photograph themselves or someone sitting oposite them and can be used both for still shots and as a webcam.
