Advantages: The features it comes with for such great alue for money

...microphone. I also have 120GB hard drive which I think is definite value for money!
Other great features this laptop has to offer are;
It has an Intel® Celeron® mobile processor with up to 1MB L2 cache, Mobile Intel® GL960 Express Chipset, S-ATA Hard Disk Drive with Acer DASP (Disk Anti-Shock Protection), DVD-Super Multi Double Layer drive, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, 5-in-1 card reader, supporting Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick® (MS), Memory Stick PRO™ (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card™ (xD) and built in speakers.
If you get this laptop through the T-Mobile offer I did, like I said it costs £30pm with a t-mobile dongle to connect you wherever you want to be, whether it be the park, the car, on a boat, plane wherever! The dongle also comes with a t-mobile sim card which you put into the dongle which also gives you 1000...

£350 for a great laptop, what a buy
Review of Acer TravelMate 5320-101G12Mi - Celeron M 540 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: could be faster, and better designed
...For all of you who aren’t familiar with the brand acer, they are now the best selling brand of laptop manufacture in the UK at the moment. This is simply because they offer good laptops that satisfies everyone’s demands as they do such a wide range of laptops, ones for home use, for business use and ones for multimedia use, you name it and it’s a pretty sure certainty that acer do the laptop you want. They also offer all this at incredibly reasonable prices which is the real reason why their the best selling manufacturer for laptops at the moment as a lot of people need a good laptop but at a tight budget.
Now I wouldn’t say that this laptop is stylish however it has improved quite a lot from acers older travel mate design, you can now see that they are at least trying to make somewhat of an effort in designing...

Acer Aspire 3613WLMi
Review of Acer Aspire 3613WLMi - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
danfellowes
Advantages: Practical
Disadvantages: Improveable
...This is the Acer Aspire 3613WLMi laptop computer. Stats it gives on the actual laptop seem like a good place to start:
Intel Celeron M Processor 370
(1.5GHz, 400 MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache)
15.4" WXGA CrystalBrite TFT LCD
40GB
DVD-Dual double layer
(Supports DVD+R Double layer/ DVD+/-RW)
512MB DDR2 (support dual-channel)
802.11 b/g wireless LAN
Right so the laptop itself is pretty decent even if a little dated by now. It runs fine and at a decent speed. It has enough RAM at 512MB to not have to worry about it being able to run things unless you're after brand new games. The laptop I have is just used for text and photo editing work which it can handle absolutely perfectly.
It contains a DVD rewriter in the side which works very well. I have had problems with all other DVD rewriters but this works very well through Windows...

ACE ACER
Review of Acer Aspire 3692WLMi - Celeron M 420 - 15.4" TFT by
allyoxley
Advantages: Great Wide Screen , Roomy Keyboard
Disadvantages: Not great user's guides
...After a small windfall, me and my husband decided to treat ourselves, my hubby got his Sat Nav (see my review) and I got my long awaited laptop.
I have got a desktop, but was sick of my front room loking like an office and listening to my kiddies games whilst trying to watch TV. So after a great deal of homework I decided to go for the New Aspire 3692WLMi.
My main reason for choosing this laptop was a) the price, it cost me £399 from Comets, and (b) the memory. Aside from that I was also impressed with the design and layout on the whole.
Well before I go into more detail I will get the specifications buff out of the way.
The Aspire comes with an Intel Celeron M Processor 420.
The Screen is 15.4" and has WXGA Crystalbrite LCD.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Storage Hard Drive 60 GB
Memory 1024 B
DVD...

Acer Travelmate 2414WLMi
Review of Acer TravelMate 2414LMi - Celeron M 380 1.6 GHz - 15" TFT by
sullyrev
Advantages: Excellent Price, Good Design
Disadvantages: A little slow
...--
We didn't read before buying it that it has bluetooth build in, plus it has a build in mic which we have tested on a VOIP call and this seems good quality.
-- Screen --
Like I said it has a 15" screen which has a better viewing angle than most, I am able to see the screen from and angle of getting close to 180 degrees. This is impressive for a laptop screen in my opinion.
-- Speed --
I know it only has 1.6Ghz processor but it is not all about the number (1.6). I use another laptop which is 1.8 Ghz and it seems A LOT faster than this 1.6. The only reason I can think of for this is that the 1.8Ghz laltop has 512MB of RAM and the processor is a Pentium M rather than the Acer's Celeron (which are known to be a lot slower).
When the laptop was first run it appeared to be slower than it is becasuse of all the programs Acer have...

Acer Laptop
Review of Acer TravelMate 2312LCi - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
danfellowes
Advantages: Simple, Basics work fine.
Disadvantages: Outdated
...This Acer laptop is what I am currently typing on at the moment. The one I have is a few years old now but it still works perfectly well. It has:
Intel Celeron M Processor 360
(1.4 Ghz, 400Mhz FSB, 1MB L2 cache)
15" XGA TFT LCD
40GB HDD
DVD-Dual double layer
(supports DVD+R Double Layer/ DVD+/-RW)
256MB DDR
As it says on the laptop...
This is slightly outdated and if you're the type who will be using this for playing games that require a load of RAM then this may not be the one for you, but if you just need it for word processing or just generally using Office. It can handle quite a lot really.
There are a couple of problems I have4 had with mine. They are only little problems they are just small irritations that can bug you during use. First of all, the '@' and the " button swap places, though it doesn't show...

Acer 3613
Review of Acer Aspire 3613WLMi - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
jonno179
Advantages: Excellent value for money, screen, built in wi fi 512mb ram
Disadvantages: the hard drive is partitioned-why?!
...I bought this laptop from savastore.com (with whom i'm not impressed seeing as it took nearly 3 weeks to get my laptop, which was an alternative to the first one i ordered..) mainly as a means of working on web design anywhere, and as an item to take to university next year, so I didn't require a £1000+ laptop.
I chose Acer because my dad has used them at work for the past 7 years without major incident, and after seeing the 15.4" wide aspect CrystalBrite screen (which is also on this laptop) was sold on the idea. This model is one of the lowest priced "main brand" laptops i've seen with 512mb RAM, which doesn't usually feature on anything under £700 and was, alongside the screen, the main selling point as I use very memory heavy applications (Macromedia Fireworks and Freehand 10 simultaneously, Photoshop, PaintShopPro 9 all work fine...

...Acer Extensa 5210, DDR2 512MB, 80GB HHD, 1.6ghz Celeron processor, WLAN, DVD writer:
My laptop came with a Windows Vista basic installation. (For those who would like to instal Windows XP your warrant may fly through the window. I needed to get XP SATA drivers on floppy to install XP...and also changed the bios version (refer to instruction on acer website).
Anyone purchasing it will notice that it has a blue tooth adapter sliding switch on the front face, only that I did not realise at first glance that there was actually no bluetooth adapter inside. One has to buy an external bluetooth adapter to use with this laptop...but the laptop has bluetooth capability...only no internal BT adapter.
Overall perforemance: good...

my perfect machine is ACEr!!!
Review of Acer Aspire 5520 by
DC-DanielColeflax
Advantages: dream machine-perfect specs
Disadvantages: slightly mad touchpad, some may not like looks
...with but is fine when you get used to it, and is really more of a cushioned affect. It is very similar to use to that of a real keyboard and very easy to type with. The keyboard section is also very easy on the eyes as it is not a striking black or silver colour but the nice grey. Above the monitor is a built in webcam and a built in microphone. All in all the laptop feels very sturdy however for a laptop it is very heavy-around 3kg which although not that heavy really, for a laptop and for carrying around is a little on the heavy side. Now in all the laptop is part of Acer's new 'gemstone concept' which is supposed to mirror things and look like what you would see in nature. Now I'm not sure I have aver seen a laptop in nature before, but never the less I suppose it does not really matter what they say it is supposed to look like, it is more important...
