GOOD BUDGET PRICE PC!!!
Review of Acer AcerPower M8 - Athlon 64 3500+ by  kerrystackhouse

Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: A DVD Writer wouldn't have goe amiss

...is 12 months which in most cases due to the cost will be return to base rather than on-site warranty. To summarise, as I stated above I have only had my PC for a little under a week. In that short space of time I will say that I am very pleased with what I have got for the money. The Acer Power M8 is a budget price PC with no frills or flashing lights, but if you want a basic every day reliable PC, then I would definitely recommended this to you!... Read review

Acer Lack of Power Series
Review of Acer AcerPower Sx - PIII 866 MHz by  andycharger

Advantages: Cheap enough
Disadvantages: Unreliable

...My first ever PC that I bought myself was made by Acer. At the time, they were operating as the cheap brand pc's on sale at PC World. They seemed to be vastly undercutting the competition although their specifications were not as high. After months of faultless operation, It started to go wrong. This is when your problems all start with Acer. Looks like times have not changed as I will tell you about their POWER range of modern PC's. Background on the series. Acer have been around in some shape or form since 1976. They have been producing Desktop PC for about 10 years. They offer a variety of ranges of PC to the consumer and the Power range is supposed to be cutting edge performance at a discounted rate. Well let me tell you. Its not. The Power series my mum bought is the SX. It comes with a Pentium 3 866 Mhz Processors which... Read review

My review on Acers
Review of Acer AcerPower FH - Pentium D 925 3 GHz by  thedarkened

Advantages: Fast, reliable, good graphics, excellent motherboard, runs silently
Disadvantages: Sometimes expensive

...Acers are a very reliabe source of computers. Their power always outbeats other leading brands such as Dell or Toshiba. The Pentium D Processor is quite a fast processor but it isn't as fast as other Pentiums, such as the Pentium 4 Dual Core, or any others such as AMD Athlons with HT technology. I have sticked with Acers for over 4 years now, mainly due to how reliable these computers are; my latest acer is a 3 year old notebook and it has only totally broken down once, and that was due to a hard drive failure. They also tend to react and output data very fast, with low waiting times for opening several applications, and the graphics of the computer are that which can withstand the power-hungry games of today's world, such as World Of Warcraft or Call Of Duty 4. Also, Acers generally tend to run quietly, without the annoyance... Read review

Advantages: Big Memory, small price.
Disadvantages: 1.5 hour batttery life

...a very handy 2.0 port for my flash drive to copy this review onto. Left side view Optical drive for Cds and DVD's. Emergency eject hole and an optical drive eject button. Right view PC Card eject button, PC Card Slot which accepts one Type II Cardbus PC Card, two further USB 2.0 ports, a network jack, modem jack and ventilation slots. The bottom has stuff too, but nothing you couldn't guess at or need me to tell you, if you want to know give us a shout and I'll list them as well. There's tons more about this computer and it's all good: Modem, Ethernet, Wake-on LAN ready, Wireless LAN, Acer signalUp: High efficiency antenna technology, in fact all you'll ever need in a PC, and this has the added... I've got an Acer up my sleeve...
Review of Acer AL1714 by  china_wolf

Advantages: Cheap price, decent performance, looks the dog's
Disadvantages: Slower response time than expected, a bit of glare, no DVI input, lame speakers

...; the 3rd button is a right arrow whilst the 4th button is the MENU button, unimaginatively used to access the monitor's settings menu. Pressing the MENU button brings up the menu where you can use the arrow buttons to browse to what ever settings you deem and worthy for editing i.e. brightness, contrast, etc. When you get to the setting you want to edit, press the MENU button again to enter it and then use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the setting. If you want to go back one stage, just press the AUTO button and the menu will return by a stage. Press AUTO enough times and it will close the menu. The menu is rather nice as well, since most menus that pop up are nasty blue and white teletext-ish nightmares. With the Acer though, it is a smoothly made grey menu that slides through your option choices with grace and ease. When powered... Read review

my perfect machine is ACEr!!!
Review of Acer Aspire 5520 by  DC-DanielColeflax

Advantages: dream machine-perfect specs
Disadvantages: slightly mad touchpad, some may not like looks

...with but is fine when you get used to it, and is really more of a cushioned affect. It is very similar to use to that of a real keyboard and very easy to type with. The keyboard section is also very easy on the eyes as it is not a striking black or silver colour but the nice grey. Above the monitor is a built in webcam and a built in microphone. All in all the laptop feels very sturdy however for a laptop it is very heavy-around 3kg which although not that heavy really, for a laptop and for carrying around is a little on the heavy side. Now in all the laptop is part of Acer's new 'gemstone concept' which is supposed to mirror things and look like what you would see in nature. Now I'm not sure I have aver seen a laptop in nature before, but never the less I suppose it does not really matter what they say it is supposed to look like, it is more important... Read review

Acer CR-8530 A beautiful little camera
Review of Acer CR-8530 by  Martinscholes

Advantages: Lightweight good images
Disadvantages: None so far

...I I have not owned my Acer CR-8530 for long. A matter of a couple of days, in fact, but my initial impressions are very favourable. Despite being an 8 mega pixel digital camera, it is small and lightweight. I paid about £200 for the camera, but it was bought through a special deal to encourage workers to buy computer equipment for their home use, but to buy them through work, with the money taken out of your salary every month. We bought a new Acer laptop (review later!), Office XP, a memory stick and the camera. Despite being lightweight, the Acer CR-8530 has a very sturdy feel to it. Unlike some of the newer digital cameras, the Acer CR-8530 actually looks like a camera, meaning that it is relatively easy to hold and to use. Which is more than can be said for some of the new digital cameras, sad to say. It also uses a Lithium... Read review

is it acer or rubbish?
Review of Acer Aspire 5103WLMi - Turion 64 X2 TL-52 - 15.4" TFT by  kineticspade

Advantages: lots
Disadvantages: touch pad mouse

...anything with it, so I took the battery out and switched it back on. Well I was not paying all that money for that to happen, so I took it back to the shop that replaced it for me. So I tried again, but yet again the same thing happened. I actually went and spoke to someone who has a laptop and they said theirs does the same thing, and that it’s due to windows vista been faulty. So if yours does do this DO NOT BLAME THE LAPTOP. Well enough of the start of my experience with my laptop and on with the product loll. The Acer aspire comes installed with Acer Empowering Technology. This is a toolbar that makes it easy for you to access frequently used functions and to manage your laptop. It provides access to the following utilities: * Acer enet management * Acer epower management * Acer epresentation management * Acer edatasecurity... Read review
