Acoustic Energy AEGO, nod and enjoy
Advantages: Please read the review
Disadvantages: Hardly anything loud
...I heard about AE (acoustic energy) but that is all, never really felt any urge to delve into its range of audios until recently, in fact bumped accidentally to some massive sound which was too impressive and sweet to ignore. I was riding down the lane a couple of nights ago, and I was passing through a neighbor of mine who also happens to be a very good friend of mine, McCartney?s ?Mother Mary? was streaking out in streams from her window, I was wondering if this was again a new recording. I decided to have a look at it. The acoustic and tonal quality was bloody impressive and what I saw was even more so.
My decision to go for Apple iPod was belated and was on purpose. I always contended that the there was no doubt about the quality of Apple but I had my own reservations about its audio capability. I only decided to go for it after...

Acoustic Energy's Flawed Diamond
Advantages: Sound quality, ease of use and installation
Disadvantages: A few rough edges, cheap remote
...The Aego5 system from Acoustic Energy is a ?home cinema? surround sound setup that includes everything you need (apart from a suitable TV and DVD player!) in one box. It?s a system based around a small decoder unit, a (comparatively) larger sub-woofer/amplifier unit and 5 satellite speakers, described by the manufacturers, not unfairly, as ?palm sized?. This targets the package at the user who can?t live with the sizeable speakers some other setups involve ? ideal for my average size living room. I made my purchasing decision following a number of favourable reviews this unit received in the related specialist magazines.
So how did it turn out?
Firstly, it?s fair to say that very nearly everything you need to get going is included in the box, even batteries for the remote control and wall mounting stands for the speakers (though...

Acoustic Energy Aego P5.
Advantages: Superb Sound Quality, Small Satellites
Disadvantages: Slight hum from subwoofer, no Dolby Prologic 2 support
...The Acoustic Energy 5.1 system is available in two configurations - one with and one without a Dolby Digital / DTS decoder. The version without the decoder is less expensive and would be suitable if your system already has some form of surround sound decoding capability. I went for the version with the decoder.
The system is very easy to set up. All amplification is perfomed within the subwoofer so this forms the 'hub' of the system.
There is a single cable from the decoder to the subwoofer, then 5 single cables from the subwoofer to each of the satellites (one each for the left, right, centre, surround left and surround right channels)
The decoder itself has a coaxial and a digital input for digital sources, as well as three line level standard stereo inputs for connecting non-digital equipment.
The subwoofer is powered by...

BASS In Your Face!
Advantages: Style/Sound Quality/Bass
Disadvantages: Price
... Introduction
The Acoustic Energy AEGO M speakers comprise of three parts. One sub-woofer and 2 smaller speakers, all of them with a white body and black front. The two smaller speakers are designed to act as a left and a right sounds, similar to headphones, with the sub obviously offering the bass and middle sounds. Acoustic Energy is a company that specialises in hi-fi and speaker systems, the company was founded in 1987 in West London and has been producing award winning speaker systems since 1991, with the first speaker system the company ever produced - quite an achievement. More information on the company can be found on http://www.acoustic-energy.co.uk/AboutAE/index.asp which is where I have found my information.

Acoustic Pollutions
Advantages: Simple to use
Disadvantages: Dodgy cd player and obnoxious smell
...~~ Purchase ~~
I bought my SP122 at Argos over two years ago along with a compatible and matching Acoustic Solutions SP101 Amplifier, Acoustic Solution SP111 DAB/FM Tuner and a pair of Acoustic Solution AVCS Column Stereo Speakers. I took advantage of a deal that was on offer at the time whereby if you bought the amp, tuner and CD player you would receive the speakers for free.
~~ Set up and Appearance ~~
This is an easy to use and uncomplicated CD unit. It's easy and straight forward to set up and attach to other units. I must admit though, it looked much better in the Argos catalogue than it does now that I have it set up in the living room. It's kind of plain in appearance, there are no fancy glowing lights. There is just one LCD panel that has a back light. The dimensions of the unit are 8cm(H), 43cm(W), 28.5cm(D) excluding...

Sounds have never sounded so good
Advantages: awesome audio playback, stylish looks, easy to install
Disadvantages: above average price
...As anyone who has read the opinion I wrote on my new monitors at work with know, although I was delighted with the quality of the visual display, the only real flaw I could find was that there were no speakers incorporated in the monitor, making the picture quality out of this world, whilst the sound being produced by my aging speakers acted as something of a wake up call. Not a pleasant experience at all and not an experience befitting of the quality of the monitor. To rectify this situation and after much negotiation with my employer each workstation was provided with Acoustic Energy AEGO M speaker systems at a cost of 140 Euros (approximately £95). The M range being for monitors, rather than the H range which are additional speaker units for Hi-Fi systems.
The speakers are compatible with all operating systems and installation...

AEGO M - awesome
Advantages: Great look, sound quality and volume
Disadvantages: No remote control
...I spent weeks looking for a set of 2.1 speakers below the £150 value, and eventually decided on the Acoustic Energy AEGO M. After taking them out of the box, i was a bit skeptical of how loud the speakers would actually be, as they are very small (a similar size to a small bag of sugar), but are of a very heavy build, whereas the sub woofer is very large. I bought the black speakers which have a very slick and modern design.
The system took a matter of minutes to set up, and was very simple. I simply attached each speaker to the sub, plugged the sub in, then attached to the sub to my laptop through the ear phone plug in.
When i plugged the speakers in, i noticed the awesome sound quality, i then began to turn the speakers louder and louder up until the maximum volume - the sound quality remains brilliant no matter what volume you...

Give Me Energy!
Advantages: A good energy boost, Taste nice
Disadvantages: Don't make the mistake and eat them like sweets
...Dextro energy tablets come in five different flavours which are original, orange, blackcurrant, lemon and tropical. I haven't tried all of these flavours but have tasted the orange and lemon varieties. I have done a bit of research on these as well as testing them myself to help in my review. Before I go any further I would like to make the point that they are not designed to be eaten as sweets.
AIMS
Dextro energy tablets are designed to give a quick energy release to help in endurance sports for example marathon running or other sports which last longer than thirty minutes or so. These tablets are high in glucose which the body uses as an energy supply to fuel your exercise. This means that you are topping up your body's glycogen reserves so that you do not run out of energy as you are exercising.
PACKAGING
The packets...

A Boost of Energy or Not.......?
Advantages: Tasty Quite Healthy Sweets
Disadvantages: Too Addictive
...I first remember being introduced to these odd large tablet like energy sweets by my mum when I was a young child. My mum felt these were better for us than a "normal" packet of sweets. When I first tried them I didn't think very much of them but can now quite honestly say I am addicted to them!
THE CLAIMS
Dextro Energy was first introduced in 1936 when the Olympics were held in Berlin. It is claimed that Dextro Energy can supply our bodies with energy we may have lost through our busy lifestyles, or for athletes who may need that little extra boost, it is also said to aid concentration. Dextro Energy is made up of 82% Dextrose, which is basically another name for glucose and a natural form of sugar, usually found in fruit and honey, this is the ingredient which is supposed to give us our energy boost. Our bodies naturally...
