...~~ Purchase ~~ I bought my SP122 at Argos over two years ago along with a compatible and matching Acoustic Solutions SP101 Amplifier, Acoustic Solution SP111 DAB/FM Tuner and a pair of Acoustic Solution AVCS Column Stereo Speakers. I took advantage of a deal that was on offer at the time whereby if you bought the amp, tuner and CD player you would receive the speakers for free. ~~ Set up and Appearance ~~ This is an easy to use and uncomplicated CD unit. It's easy and straight forward to set up and attach to other units. I must admit though, it looked much better in the Argos catalogue than it does now that I have it set up in the living room. Acoustic Solutions 22" HDTV

...Acoustic Solutions LCDW22DVD95F (Acoustic Solutions) I got my Acoustic Solutions TV around a week ago, and ever since it is the best small sized television I have ever bought. It is an HD ready 720p TV, which is good for £150. The only bad thing about it is that there is no PC input. But you can buy special connectors for HDMI to DVI, so you can hook them up. I like the most about the TV is that there is a DVD player in it, The DVD player is good quality. Whats in The Acoustic Solutions LCDW22DVD95F box... The unboxing of the Acoustic Solutions TV is very simple there is, Acoustic Solutions LCDW22DVD95F TV and a Remote. I was very annoyed about this unboxing as my other Dell 17" TV came with all the cables e.g. DVI cable, VGA cable, S-Video cable etc. There is also manuals in the box and there is two batteries in the remote...

Advantages: Good Price
Disadvantages: Poor Remote Control / Extended Guarantee Coverage

...for my 2nd TV. 2 Scarts, 1 HDMI, etc.. Very slow at going through the differenct AV's using the remote. You have to wait for the AV to connect and show the screen before you can move on to the next one. Again, for the price you will get used to it. One thing I do need to point out about this TV is the extended warranty. You can only get the extended warranty from Argos. No other insurance provider that I can find so far provides extended warranties for this brand. I have been in touch with Acoustic Solutions and they have told me this is an exclusive line to Argos and they have nothing to do with this. A bit disappointing that I could not use Domestic and General as they were cheaper. Have had to take it out with Argos now just in case anything does happen after the 12 months inclusive warranty. Not too much of a bad solution

Advantages: Not bad if you sit at the right angle and don't want to watch a DVD
Disadvantages: It is FUGLY! The DVD player hums

I had the option of going back to my CRT telebox, but the thought alone depressed me, so opted for another brand. I wanted to try Acoustic Solutions (the Argos exclusive brand) LCD TV/DVD combo, but sadly they were out of stock?until I spotted that they come in different colours. I found a white one, that didn?t look too bad, so went for it. I ordered it and took it home. My initial reaction was how annoying the box is to carry, it?s quite big and clumsy ? 6.7kgs with no carry handles ? marvelous! In Car DAB - a clever solution

Advantages: A good retrofit solution to an existing car stereo
Disadvantages: Not the most user friendly whilst on the move

...with the niggles that it has & it does detract from what could have been a super unit. I feel either the solution was not as well thought out as it could be or there was maybe a little more focus on price than perfection. Would I recommend it........ I would say yes, though I mainly listen to Radio 5 & talksport, which on AM is hideously poor on the reception. The other channels cover many interests & am enjoying re-living my youth with the rock channels. Just don't expect perfection in the unit. Saying that, I bought a DAB unit & had it installed for £99. For me, that is a good deal & I can accept the niggles as a result....
